This review is long overdue! I should have written it after my very first visit! I stopped by the Chandler showroom while searching for a mechanical keyboard, and little did I know, I was about to dive headfirst into the world of custom keyboards and become a passionate hobbyist!
Let me start by talking about the exceptional service. Luke assisted me during my visit, and as someone who knew little about the intricacies of custom keyboards, his patience and expertise were invaluable. He took the time to explain everything in detail. From the different switches to the various customization options. Even though they were nearing closing time, Luke stayed fully focused on ensuring I left not just satisfied, but genuinely thrilled with my purchase. His commitment to customer service was beyond impressive.
Since that first encounter, I've purchased several keyboards and have even introduced friends to this amazing company. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers both stellar customer service and top-tier products. I've become a regular (sorry, not sorry!) and now make frequent visits to try out new switches and products. I can proudly say I'm a full-fledged "Keeb Enthusiast!"
A huge thank you to Luke and the entire staff at Mechanical Keyboards. You’ve built something special, and I’m excited to see what incredible products you’ll be releasing next. Highly...
Read morePleasantly surprised to find a brick and mortar keyboard store as they are far and few between.
Had a great selection of DIY kits, switches, stabilizers (plate and screw ins!), cables, keycaps (some artisans too), deskmats, and even mouses. Even more surprised by the stock of a few KBDfans boards (KBD75 v3, Tofu60, Anode60) and ePBT keycaps! Loved that there were some built boards to type on and test with, and loved the switch testing of all their available switches. There are different mouses you can test out on several stations.
The staff are extremely knowledgeable and passionate! They are very open about feedback to better cater the local market and open to suggestion for items to add, which I am looking forward to their expanded inventory. Was told that there will be keyboard meetups in store which I am also looking forward to. (Building that sense of community!! Big plus!!)
Biggest surprise to me was the soldering station they have in store for usage. Allowing the opportunity for beginners to learn or for enthusiasts to come and build their own board.
Also surprised to learn that they offer in store pick up from their online store, so another big plus.
Entrance is a bit hard to find but was told they are putting up more signage soon to mitigate that.
If I could give another...
Read moreI just left the store and I am extremely excited to be able to put on my new switches on my keyboard. I was very hesitant at first being that I’m just getting into the actual hobby and I wasn’t sure what I would actually like, but as soon as I stepped in the door, Jimmy and Jared were so extremely welcoming and they helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They had so many options displayed so you could really try them out and they had millons of switches ranging from different varieties and they really helped me find what the best switch for me would be. they really showed me the cared and didn’t pressure me to get some switches that everyone gets which made me feel confident about my purchase. Since it was my first time and I was a new customer, they also hooked me up with some stickers and a free key cap and come on who doesn’t like freebies. They also provided me with a cherry switch tester kit, which I will put up my desk as a fidget toy. If you are looking for your go to shop for mechanical keyboards and accessories, this is the place to go. No more waiting to order things online to have them shipped to you. This is a great place to have direct access to test confirm and buy with no wait time. I can not wait to go back as they have created a...
