Whataburger — Restaurant in Chandler

This place is simply amazing!!!! I have gone to almost every fast food place that exists, but this WHATABURGER location is simply amazing ! The staff is incredible, and quite naturally no one can dispute the awesomeness of WHATABURGERS classic menu ! Even moreso, is the fact that there’s so many young people there that actually operate like a well oiled machine whereas you can go to Canes where it’s the same youthfulness, but not the same level of professionalism!!! I couldn’t believe that there was this young lady named AMANDA that runs the place like a Microsoft CEO - she is the comparison to a Bill Gates of managers when it comes to all the younger individuals that I’ve seen in that position! Wowww ! Totally remarkable and very impressive! You can already see that as life progresses that she is most definitely going places ! There’s Maraya, who is phenomenal when it comes to speed- in no time she knocks down task after task, but even more amazing is her personality ! When you walk into any establishment professionalism is important but personality is just as important- she definitely has it ! They have no idea how upset or frustrated a customer may be walking in to get something to eat, but when you see someone w this type of encouraging disposition it can change yours- that goes beyond job performance!! And we’ve got to save the best for last - I call him “Hans” because he reminds me of the guy from Fast and furious, but this guy has the purest heart and the coolest personality! Amazing how one person can perform several different duties and has the willingness to extend additional assistance to customers in the process ! This is AMAZING staff here, but the most astounding is the fact that McDonald’s down the street has several managers that have been in mgmt for decades and they don’t compare at all to the brilliance and prestige of this younger crowd ! I apologize if I offended anyone w the “young people” expression but it’s just because I, myself am in the older crowd and found that to be most fitting to provide description- nonetheless, THANK YOU WHATABURGER ! You guys are so important to the community and have been so consistent in providing the Best Quality Burgers in the whole Chandler area if you ask me...

I visited the Whataburger located at 7375 W. Chandler Boulevard in Chandler, Arizona on a Wednesday around 1:00 p.m. I ordered the Green Chile Burger Meal. The cashier asked me, “Do you want medium or large?” She said it in such a way that it sounded like those are the only size options. It turns out that the small size is what the price on the menu is, and both medium and large are served at an additional cost. They really should tell the customers that medium and large are an upcharge, or offer small when asking which size the customer wants. I ordered the small and the total was $12.31. When asked, I told the cashier that I would be eating at the restaurant (not getting food to go). I was handed a plastic wedge with a number on it and a small beverage cup to get my own drink. I got my drink and the last napkin in the dispenser. I felt bad for the customers who would need napkins after me because there were none left. I took a seat in the lobby, which had several yellow “Wet Floor” signs next to tables throughout the lobby even though the floor was not wet. Several people who were there before me received their meals one-by-one. Finally, my food was brought to me and the guy told me “Here’s your order to go.” I told him that I had asked for my food to eat there and he looked baffled. He stood there motionless for a moment and then started to walk back to the service counter as though he was going to remove the food from the bag and place it on a tray. I told him that it was ok and I could eat is as it was. I noticed that my receipt clearly states, “Dine-In”. When they say it’s small, they mean SMALL and the bag of fries contains about 20 french fries that are 2” length or more. The fries were very salty, as was the burger. I love Whataburger. However, I do not love this location. I am not sure why this one has such a hard time with seemingly simple things. My last visit, will truly be my last visit. Upon ordering, the guy at the register had no clue how to ring up an order, granted he may have been new which is ok. The manager had to come over and enter our order. I ordered a double Whataburger with 4 pieces of cheese and jalapenos. When I opened my burger there was one piece of cheese on it. I took it back to the counter to have it corrected and a guy who had gloves on was ringing people up at the register walked over and said he would fix it. He grabbed the additional cheese with the same gloves he had been ringing people up in and put them on my burger. I was shocked and slightly disgusted and what is worse is the manager was standing right there watching and all she said to me was "I am sorry they forgot the cheese, I am from Wisconsin and love my cheese too". Dumbfounded and not wanting to cause a scene a go back to the table and now notice my burger has 2 tiny slices of jalapenos on it and no onions at all. I reluctantly took two bites of my burger which was cold and still incorrect and threw it away it was gross.
