From the start of checking our experience was an utter and complete nightmare! We used my REALTOR app Hotel Engine which is a 3rd party app. Per the travel itinerary we would only owe $6.54 at check in. We shared this with the front desk person and she stated that I was incorrect and that we would owe $15 additional per night for incidental charges. I shared with her that was not what my booking app was showing so she said that we would need to place a new card on file outside of the one that we had already made complete payment on for the room. I told her that was unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager. The manager GM named Melanie came to the desk and was super rude, very condescending, and extremely unprofessional in how she went about trying to resolve the confusion. She went on the explain the check in policy several times after I had already explained that I know about the policy and saying “well it’s only this amount of dollars and you will get it back at checkout!” I shared with her that my booking app stated that the amount she was requesting is not what would be due. Melanie proceeded to talk over me, being rude in front of not only me and my family but others that were checking in as well as her staff members who stood in utter silence. Melanie argued back and forth with me and said that we would not be allowed to check in until the (45 incidental charge was paid on a different cc). When I asked her for the number or contact to someone at corporate, she almost refused to provide me the information and wrote it down after looking through a book for it on one of her business cards. They assigned us room 303 at first. Please make sure to see the pictures of the filth and nastiness, unsanitary, and disgusting room they gave us. The room was mold filled, dust was everywhere, there was blood stains on the pull out sofa mattress and sheets, dead roaches on the carpet with live roaches crawling (see video), closet door wouldn’t open, paint chipped all across the ceiling, bathroom filled with mildew and rust everywhere. I called back down to the front desk to share this and the clerk said that they wouldn’t be able to switch my room at the moment. Mind you, we were traveling with a baby. I explained to her that this room and it’s filth was unacceptable. Later we got switched to room 224 after the receptionist was hesitant on giving us the room due to it being specifically for DIAMOND MEMBERS. It took me showing her the video of the roach crawling in order for them to make the move to switch my room. They sent a cleaning guy that came with gloves on to remove the blood stained mattress and sheet from the let out sofa. This place needs to be bull dozed and placed under new management because Melanie isn’t it and the management team is not making sure these rooms are up to any Hilton standard. I was completely flabbergasted and disappointed. Look elsewhere if you’re think about...
Read moreThe property is under renovation so there was construction around. Check in went smooth. The room we had on the first floor was one that was not yet renovated. It was somewhat worn and had a odor to it. However, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, however, they did not have the usual dark roast coffee that is common at Hilton properties. Check in and check out were smooth and the staff was courteous. We will likely stay again - but hopefully in a refurbished room after the renovation project is completed.
On our second stay a year later. On the positive side the room and public areas were clean. The renovations are complete. The location is also good - convenient to restaurants and retail. However, having stayed in over 20 Hampton Inns in 2024, the services provided puts this property near the bottom of the list. When we checked in, the front desk person was not welcoming as usual and never acknowledged my Hilton Honors membership - something that is normally done. There was a small problem with the sink in our room. We asked her to send maintenance, and no one showed up. This desk clerk did not seem to want to do anything to help the guests. (The other clerks were pleasant and helpful.) We ultimately corrected the issue ourselves. Maid service is every two days instead of daily. That's OK, except when we did get maid service, we returned to find no towels and a large trash bag with trash sitting in the middle of the room. The bathroom trash was not emptied - I did that and put the trash bag in the hall. It was as if the cleaner was interrupted and then never returned to finish cleaning. After a couple of hours and seeing no one - I located the maid and got the towels we needed from her. The shower was not hot - warm at best. One thing I enjoy on the Hampton Inn breakfast menu is the omelets. In four mornings, they had none. On a couple of evenings, there was no herbal tea on the coffee service, there was also no hot water on a couple of evenings. It seemed that no one was maintaining the service. This property lacked many of the little things that most Hampton Inns offer, such as fruit or cookies at the desk in the evenings. As a frequent Hampton Inn guest, I have come to expect a certain level of service common to the brand, I do not believe we got that at...
Read moreThis was definitely not the Hampton Inn experience we are used to! The halls smelled damp/almost moldy-like, but sometimes halls don't get a lot of air circulation so I wasn't super concerned. The room smelled far worse, but I was willing to be gracious about it and presume it was because the AC needed to run. It did get better after a bit when the AC ran for a while. The minifridge was dripping water and had a few puddles inside. It was turned as cold as possible, so I figured the freezer part probably didn't work. Not a huge deal, we didn't have freezer stuff anyhow. Having to sop up the pools of water was annoying but not a big deal.
Breakfast being actual breakfast and complimentary is a decent part of why we chose Hampton Inns - it's a good way to start the day, and usually there's plenty of options so even if you don't like the meat or egg option that day there's still potatoes, breads, cereals, fruits, etc. This place's breakfast was disgusting. Between absolute lack of flavor (like putting sausage shape cotton in your mouth) and having powder eggs, one type of gross breakfast meat, and waffle mix and that's it, we wound up eating out each day. While it's not the end of the world, a continental breakfast would have been better! We tried to figure out how late breakfast was served after the first day (we tried breakfast daily, hoping it was a fluke with the nastiness), we found no information, but did find a couple employees milling about and a trashed food area. Coffee supplies/trash all over, pizza boxes sitting around, etc.
The elevator is tiny, and while there's 2 there, one was out of order (at least on the 3rd floor). Definitely a very outdated place, and not in a historic sense!
The last morning housekeeping loudly knocked on all the doors (I could hear them from down the hall) around 9am. When they got to our room I opened the door, and they told me checkout was at 11. Okay, cool... Except that's not the time we were told when we booked. Regardless, we were in the process of packing our things to leave, anyhow. I just have never had a hotel have their housekeeping bang on individual doors hours before checkout to tell people when to checkout. It was definitely another nail in the...
