Upon arriving to check in, a gentleman was checking in in front of me and I heard them tell him that there is $10 per day per car parking and it must be paid for with a credit card. I was completely unaware of this until arriving. After later looking over the website, I and clicking around, I seen the info on it kinda tucked in there. Get to our room and it was dirty! Food smeared on the table between the beds, something smeared on the wall right next to the TV (about 12” diameter area), white stuff splattered on the one headboard (😳), large area of something sticky on the floor next to the trash can, food or something sticky on the floor next to the bathroom door, hair, fuzz, lint all over the floor, floor was filthy, pulled blankets back to check sheets and I swear they weren’t changed. There was hair like leg hair or something everywhere. Once I seen that and the headboard, I was done with that room. It’s very frustrating when you’ve been traveling all day and have a hotel and room waiting for you and it’s supposed to be clean with no issues only to walk in and have to inspect your room because you see issues right off the bat. Anyway, I went to the desk and politely told them my room wasn’t clean and proceeded to tell them some of the issues. The young gentleman at the desk was very apologetic. They gave me another room, so my daughter had to pack up what she’d already unpacked at that point and move rooms to a whole other floor. It ended up being a handicapped room, which was fine because it was bigger, but it wasn’t clean either. Granted, it wasn’t as bad as the first room, but it was not clean. The floor was filthy, there was hair etc…. everywhere. There was stuff randomly stuck on the floor and on the bathroom floor what looked like old chewing gum or something. Again, sheets had hair on them so we slept on top the cover sheet and we had brought some blankets and used them to cover up with. Went to use the microwave and after the lights flickered, it kicked off, then later realized the refrigerator wasn’t even working. Luckily we didn’t have any food in it. We unplugged the microwave and plugged it into where the coffee maker was and it worked. There were cheese-it’s on the floor in front of the couch. There was no hair dryer in this room. Went to make coffee the next morning and there were 2 decaf coffees in there. (that wasn’t that big of a deal tho) People above us…. literally until about 2:30-3 a.m., it sounded as if someone was running across the floor. Sounded like people were out in the hall partying until around that same time. Breakfast, second day, was barely any bacon out (literal crumbs) and that’s all my daughter wanted before her volleyball tournament and we only had so much time and patiently waited for more to be brought out and none ever came. Like, I understand the rooms may not be clean to ‘my’ standards but come on. Someone CLEARLY is not doing their job here. They’re not sweeping or changing the sheets. This wasn’t a horrible experience, but it most definitely was not a pleasant one. After spending over $300, I won’t be staying at a Choice...
Read moreWe stayed here for a single night to see a live show in downtown Cincinnati. This place was attractive as it had received decent reviews, looked nice, was in a convenient spot for where we needed to be, and was at a competitive price.
First impression: the building seems to be either new construction or newly renovated and looks very nice. The room was very clean upon arrival; however, the floors were still wet from the housekeeping staff having mopped (at least I assume).
Even after waiting for awhile, the floors did not seem to dry, so we asked for extra towels to dry the floor. As we found for the rest of our stay, the reason the floors would not dry is because the air in the room was so humid. Even after running the A/C constantly and having a shower, our skin felt sticky from the humid air. We know the humidity was high because some pieces of paper we had left on the dresser overnight were noticeably soft. The humidity was weird and made the room rather uncomfortable.
The service was very friendly, though anytime we needed the front desk there was usually no one present and no bell to ring for assistance, so we were usually waiting for quite awhile for someone to come and notice us there.
One additional down-side was that they charge for parking ($9 per night), even though this was a very residential area.
Full disclosure, we did not bring these concerns up to a staff member (other than letting them know the floors were not drying when we asked for towels). We were only staying for one night, so we did not want to endure the hassle of changing rooms or anything.
All-in-all, the stay was a bit disappointing for how nice the place looked. We may consider a stay here in the future if they commit to dealing...
Read moreI truly wish I could give this hotel a million stars! ⭐️ From the moment I arrived, every single person I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay special.
I accidentally booked the wrong date on my app (it was after midnight and I wasn’t paying attention!) and showed up to check in after 2 AM. Of course, my reservation wasn’t there—but that’s when I met STEVIE at the front desk. She is the sweetest, most professional young lady and truly a lifesaver! With such patience and kindness, she quickly helped me get into the two rooms I needed. After a long day of work away from home, walking in to her warm smile and willingness to help was such a blessing.
The next morning, I was greeted by Mrs. Carolin, the chef, who was just as wonderful. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but when I accidentally made a mess (I’m a bit clumsy 😅), she immediately helped me clean up with the sweetest attitude. She checked on us, offered help, and made us feel like family.
And then there was the General Manager, Mrs. Keisha—what an incredible woman! She was truly the icing on the cake. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy, and she even offered to help with the booking mistake I had made. Her warmth, professionalism, and care really shined through.
From check-in to breakfast to management, every single person made me feel so welcomed and cared for. It is so rare to find a hotel where every team member genuinely wants to make your stay wonderful—but this hotel is exactly that.
I can’t recommend it enough—10/10, and I will absolutely be staying here every single time we come to Cincinnati...
