The mango lasso drink & appetizer of chili paneer tasted great, but my wife & I were both disappointed by the entrees: her chicken dish felt dry & overcooked while also lacking flavor. The lamb shank I ordered was smothered in gravy to the point that it completely overpowered the rest of the dish, tasting like a mouthful of gravy. The cheese naan also tasted bland. The gulab jamun dessert tasted great, but it was identical to what other Indian restaurants sell, so I don’t know if it’s made at Taaza Bistro or whether they just buy it from the same supplier as other Indian restaurants. The staff were very kind, & we appreciated the kind service they provided. Overall, 2/5 for disappointing flavor but kind service & pleasant atmosphere. The complimentary veggie chips & mango sauce provided at the beginning of the meal were a pleasant surprise, but the mango sauce’s cup was less than half full. So, my wife & I were scraping the bottom of the cup when we still had half the chip-puffs left, which wasn’t fun. Nawab Indian Cuisine in Winston-Salem offers more flavorful & well-balanced Indian dishes, at about the same price. My wife & I recommend eating there instead for Indian food, based on our first experience at Taaza Indian Bistro. We might try Taaza again to give them another chance, but it wasn’t a great first experience.

Let me start by saying that, despite living in northwestern Winston Salem, we've been regulars at Taaza in Greensboro for 12 years. Quite simply the best Indian food in the triad - so good that we don't mind driving 40 minutes to dine. For years I tried to get Mohan (the manager in Greensboro) to open a restaurant in Winston Salem. I scouted out potential places for a restaurant, and found a great location on Hanes Mall Blvd. Taaza hesitated, and Kasturi eventually took it. When we heard that Taaza was coming to Clemmons, we were obviously thrilled. Last night we stopped by to dine during their soft opening. Everything was excellent, as expected. The food was beautifully prepared and not greasy/oily. It looked like they were still refining things, so I will include a small suggestion: the saag could have used a bit more spice (not heat) - perhaps a touch more cumin/cardamom. The best dish that Taaza serves (pictured below) is the Lasuni gobi/Manchurian gobi, which is on the menu in Clemmons as "Honey Garlic Cauliflower." Their rendition is the best I've had in the nearly 100 Indian restaurants that I've patronized over the years. It is an absolute must-order dish.

To all the drivers that rode by asking us if the food was good , before we go a chance to try it…I got your answer now. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Go get some of this delicious food. Won’t regret it! My husband brought me here and the establishment was beautiful. We decided to sit outside and were greeted with smiles and complimentary chips. Everyone from the hostess, to the food runners, bartenders and servers we thank you. very helpful to suggestions and great service all around. Big shoutout to Nagesh! I would recommend the the madras curry(pictured) and you can’t go wrong with the Tikka Masala (pictured) we also ordered some cheese Naan, because who orders curry without Naan? and that was banging! I can’t remember all the drinks names either, but definitely get you a couple and try them. Lastly the thing that impressed us mostly besides the service was the PRICES! oh wow okay out did yourselves I see. Will be back for sure.I would invite friends, but I think I wanna gate keep my new HOT SPOT.

What a delightful dinner experience we had at Taaza! The place felt so carefully taken care of. With cheerful flower arches and decorations it was so inviting, bright, sophisticated and spotlessly clean. The servers were all beyond attentive and lovely. We were tended to with care and great communication. For example one of our dishes was a little late to come out but they explained and made sure we were okay. Which we were because the first dish which came out was so unbelievably delicious, we weren’t missing a thing. And when you first sit down there is a fun little dish of colorful crispy rice crackers with a wonderful slightly spicy/sweet dipping sauce that they set down for you to munch on while you choose what to order. The cool filtered water in our glasses was always kept full. And the dishes we ordered were sublime. I’ve never had Indian food that tasted as good as this. When I raved to one of the (multiple) people who checked on us, he explained that they do not marinate the proteins but cook them separately then pair them with the (exquisitely) hand crafted sauces. So we had the lamb curry and I could appreciate and taste the lamb, and it was perfectly complemented by the sauce which was an amazing blend of the subtle burn of good warming spice, softening oils, and sweetish flavors. The vege Korma was also lovely. We will most definitely be coming back whenever we’re...

Finally a new place in town that has the potential to be around for a long time. My party started with the Honey Garlic Cauliflower and Gun Powder Shrimp. The cauliflower is excellent as has a nice kick to it. The shrimp was good but nothing special. It's basically bang bang shrimp with a different name. I was hoping it would be fried with some indian spices that made it stand out but it's not. For my main course I ordered the Mughlai Korma with Lamb. The flavor and the tenderness of the meat was outstanding!!!! And that korma sauce is so good! I literally closed my eyes and savored that first bite. My dad's lamb shank was fall off the bone delicious! This was his first Indian food experience ever and he's ready to go back. He enjoyed everything. Well except for his sangria which was just ok according to him. The only fruit in it was cut up grapes which to me is not a sangria. But his lamb shank...amazing! My sister had the Madras (i forget the rest of the name) with Shrimp and my brother-in-law had the Butter Chicken. I didn't taste his chicken but her shrimp was good. She also ordered their cabbage side dish and it was delish! All in all this was a great experience. And I appreciated management checking on us to ensure we had a good experience too. I look forward to trying other dishes on the menu and getting a drink...
