Courtyard by Marriott Fresno Clovis — Hotel in Clovis

We’re currently staying at the Courtyard Marriott Clovis and we’ve had an exceptional experience since the second we arrived. We were greeted by friendly, personable front desk staff, quickly checked in (2 rooms) and given rooms across the hall from one another. ||Our room was modern, clean, still smells new (the hotel is relatively new) and everything was functional. The style is what I’d call comfortable-industrial. We don’t have much of a view from our window - it overlooks the roof of the back patio area, but hey - we’re on Shaw Ave in Clovis, California in the Courtyard Marriott - not the Le Sirenuse in Positano, Italy; it’s all about reasonable expectations, folks. ||The lobby/bar/gathering area is pleasant and comfortable and between all of its seating options and the beautiful outdoor area with all of its seating options - if you can’t find a place to sit that suits your fancy, you must be quite difficult to please. ||The bar in the lobby is a highlight - specifically because of the super awesome human named Jordan that works there. Jordan instantly made us feel welcome and comfortable and not at all in a I’m-just-doing-this-to-get-a-good-tip-kind-of-way, rather he was authentic, a skilled listener (so rare these days!), and an excellent conversationalist. ||We haven’t used the pool yet, but it looks great and we’re looking forward to using it, especially considering the over 100F temps here. ||Great location near many restaurants, shops, etc. ||Seems to be adequately staffed (also impressive since most places aren’t right now) *and the staff are nice and competent - an almost unattainable trifecta these days. ||Anyway, please ignore the negative reviews and go ahead and book this place - unless you’re an ultra luxury kind of traveler - in which case you should choose an ultra-luxury hotel . 👍🛏️ Rooms are excellent! All modern amenities included in my room: TV, refrigerator and microwave. Room design itself is modern and slick. I especially loved the lighting options and sources. 🧊 AC works great, kept me cool and comfy during 100°+ outside.

💪👟 Nice gym on the first floor. Offers the basics to get your workout in. 🏊‍♂️ There’s also a pool and a jacuzzi outside!

👍🚗 Plenty of parking around the building, had no issues with it. ⚡️ Multiple ChargePoint stations are available for EV drivers!

👍🍽️ Sweet bistro cafe in the lobby. Diverse menu and a great breakfast! • 🍰 I’ll miss the caramel cheesecake that was taken of the menu in 2025😔

👍🛣️ Located conveniently and in a nice area. Fresno locations are within 15-30 minute drive. 🛍️ Surrounded by plazas, stores and dining options.

🧹 (June 2024): While the room itself was clean, my bathroom didn’t receive the same attention and treatment… It wasn’t terrible, but I did easily find leftover hair and some smudged surfaces. It didn’t ruin my experience, but I would appreciate a clean and sanitary environment, especially in a sensitive area such as bathroom 🚽🚿 • 👍 Since that time, I revisited and haven’t had the same issues again. Good cleaning and I appreciate units with walk-in showers.

⚖️ In conclusion, this location maintains modern standards for its facilities and rooms. I’ve had a great experience and restful nights! I especially like that everything is within reach, nearest store was a 3-5 minute drive. Staff are friendly and polite!

I’m writing this review because the staff and general manager are no help and very unprofessional. I reserved a room over the phone on a Tuesday for a Saturday. The girl on the phone said she booked it for that Saturday. We showed up they said I had no reservation I looked up the email and it was reserved for a Thursday which I then told them I spoke with a girl and reserved for Saturday. And they basically called me a liar which is very unprofessional. I then asked them to speak to the manager which she never came up and spoke to me but told her front desk workers everything to say. I called the day after my stay spoke with a Regina (who was very king over the phone not like their staff in person)and went over the horrible experience that we went through and I told her to have the manager call me ASAP. The manager never did on Monday so I had to call her. When spoken to she had said she had spoke with me which was a lie because I literally have never seen her in person. Their is a sign on the hotel that says now hiring. I can see why they are always hiring their staff is horrible and must get a lot of complaints. Mind you we’ve stayed at this hotel a few times before. They have ran my card twice before, and now called me a liar. We are no longer going to stay at this location.
