My family and I visited this newly opened candy shop in Clovis, Ca. outside Sierra Vista Cinemas. We were happy to see a new place coming in attracting customers, however if you have a dietary restriction they have NO ingredients on their store made candies or ice cream. Only on pre-packaged candies you can purchse from anywhere. We requested the information as our 13 yr old has had Fructose Mal-Absorption and Lactose Intollerance since she was 8 yrs. old. The two young kids that were manning the shop last night said they could not help us. *Note to owner/Manager: please work on a binder and/or Online Ingredients if you are not going to label your products. It will also contribute to your possible customer base. In general, if you have ANY KIND of dietary need or restriction it is IMPARITIVE to check labels. If your staff is not equipped to run things, you get a negative verbal and written review. A person can only do the job well, with the right knowledge and tools available. We will not be recommending, or returning to your shop until you fulfill this need. It is not only embarrassing to our daughter for going through all of this, but then we cannot even buy something in fear it will hurt her. As well, we will not eat it in front of her and she is the one...
Read moreWe're regulars and love coming here. Their gelato is delicious and they carry cupcakes from Frosted which are delicious when fresh. We were so excited to try the Dubai chocolate strawberry cups and didn't hesitate paying the $22, pricey for the "large" cup. The good: the warm chocolate drizzled, the crunchy phyllo bits, pistachio cream, and crushed pistachios were a yummy combo. Needs improvement: Cleanliness. They only quickly rinsed off some of the strawberries. At some point didn't wash the rest off, just pulled it out of the plastic clamshell container and started slicing it. Would alternate holding and looking at her phone and then continue touching the fruit. They do a chocolate shell and pistachio drizzle on the inside of the cup. It looks so pretty, but unfortunately it hardens, makes it challenging to eat because you pretty much have to scrape the sides of the flimsy plastic cup, so most of it was wasted. The chocolate shell is not tasty. Would skip that next time and stick to the warm soft chocolate. I hope it improves. The staff are sweethearts and I understand feeling overwhelmed when it gets busy but you have to...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but our experience at Chocolate Wishes and Treats was disappointing from the moment we walked in. We’re a big family, and we were excited to support a local business, but instead of a warm welcome, we were met with impatience and a clear lack of enthusiasm from the staff.
Rather than seeing a large group as an opportunity, the person serving us seemed annoyed, rushing through our order as if they couldn’t wait for us to leave. It wasn’t just bad service—it was uninviting. To make matters worse, our treats were carelessly tossed into a paper bag with zero effort or care. No attention to presentation, no appreciation for our business—just an overwhelming feeling that we were an inconvenience.
For a place that specializes in sweet treats, there was absolutely no sweetness in the service. It’s a shame because we were ready to spend and come back often, but after being treated like that, why would we? If customer experience isn’t a priority here, we’ll happily take our...
