You know I don't think I have ever actually done a review survey, but this one deserves the truth. Very disappointing stay. In fact that much more disappointing as this is a beach/vacation area hotel, and the Home2 that we stayed at in Atlanta next to the airport was x10 better than this place. I don't want to sound like I need to be pampered, but you know I earn the Diamond status through 90% traveling which isn't an easy feat. Then I also have quite a bit of spend each year on my Hilton credit card. Is it really to much to ask to say thanks for being a Hilton Honors Diamond member??? Isn't that part of your welcome?! And if I have to be the one to ask you for the welcome bag, or for my Coke and Sweedish Fish, then I immediately get a bad taste in my mouth.||The beds were not good, I am a Diamond member and 3 weeks a moth and these beds were awful. The worst and most irritating part of this hotel is the breakfast and staff. The morning front desk staff was two women, that have zero personality and acted as if we were bothering them if asking a question. It was a younger girl with curly hair and older woman working together at the front desk. The breakfast is disgusting. I typically stay at Hamptons, so I am extremely familiar with the typical Hampton breakfast. 2 of the three waffle irons were broken, one being the timer and all 3 of them had loose screws that made the batter spill over and when flipping over the iron they about wobble off the stand. It was the talk of the breakfast station how no one had fixed this and obviously didn't happen that morning. (Mind you I was there for 4 days and this was the same through the stay). The cleanliness of the eating area was disgusting. I asked several times each morning to the two front desk staff to please have someone wipe a towel across a table so people could sit down, due to literally ants crawling on the table tops from crumbs. The staff bringing out the food and working in the kitchen, were all basically hiding in the back on their phones, and guests had to keep telling them "hey this is out, do you have any more of this" because everything was empty and remained that way unless complained about by someone. I'm not sure if Hilton bought this property and redid it, but it was definitely and older hotel. Its not on the beach either, so don't get fooled. You still have a healthy walk to actually get to the beach, and there is a huge condo building behind it. The Pool, is actually decent and maybe the cleanest area at the hole place. The BAD... the swinging door that goes from the pool to the parking lot. OMG this thing when it opens is a big door, and the loudest squeakiest thing I have ever heard in my life. It for real sounds like a siren. When we were at breakfast the first morning, we heard people talking about it, and how they skipped the pool because of the door noise. Heard another guy say get to the pool early and get chairs away from the door becuse it is so loud. We mentioned it also the the front desk girl with curly hair, as I annoyingly took her away from scrolling her phones. The maintenance guys also said they were so tired of hearing about this door hinges and just wished someone would switch them out. ||I blew it, I should have stayed about 4 blocks down at either the Hilton or Hilton Garden Inn. I've stayed at both of them before, but they didn't have any open rooms and this was a last minute booking. I won't be making that mistake again. Hamptons usually come through as a great stay and you know what you are getting, but this place just...
Read moreI have wrote a brief statement below, that I will also use to debrief corporate and regional leadership, after our vacation as this summer was all Hilton as we were trying out the brand, as our go to for business, personal and pleasure. Unfortunately we have experienced allot of hurdles and challenges, today being no different.
Subject: Concerns Regarding Bathroom Hygiene and Lack of Requested Additional Blankets
Firstly, I was disappointed to discover several cleanliness issues in the bathroom of our assigned room. There were visible accumulations of dirt and a considerable amount of mold in various areas, which not only impacted our comfort but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the premises. Ensuring a clean and sanitary environment is a fundamental expectation for any guest, the noticeable paint over the mold, indicates this is a known issue and instead of address in the past, the decision was to paint over the mold, which has now grown through the layer of paint.
In addition to the bathroom concerns, I would like to highlight another problem we encountered during our stay. We found ourselves in need of extra blankets due to the excellent AC in the room , but despite requesting multiple times, no additional blankets were delivered. I even asked if I could pick them up at the front desk and was told, they would be brought up to the room. It has been close to 3 hrs and multiple attempts. It was disappointing, as it left us feeling quite uncomfortable and unable to enjoy a restful night's sleep. I would appreciate it if you could address this issue to ensure that such basic amenities are adequately provided to guests in the future.
As loyal customers of the Hilton Brand, we have always appreciated the high level of service and attention to detail that your hotel brand is known for. Therefore, I am confident that these issues were simply isolated incidents and not reflective of your overall standards. Nonetheless, I trust that you will take immediate steps to rectify these matters and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Please acknowledge receipt of this message. I look forward to hearing from you soon and sincerely hope that you will rectify these issues for future guests. This is a single night stay for us as we will be moving further south for our vacation.
Thank you for your attention and understanding. I have attached photos of the mold and dirt in...
Read moreOver the past 3 years, I've been to this hotel at least once or twice a year between family beach vacations (with the family) and by myself (for the space coast marathon), and I've been mostly happy.
There are a lot of pros: Quick access to the beach from here (just walk outside the pool, pass by a building and you're on a boardwalk to the beach) Free cookies around 5:45-6:00pm every night (while supplies last) Breakfast is usual Hampton Inn fare, which does saves us from having to buy breakfast at neighboring restaurants/fast food places The rooms are clean.
However, there are some things I don't like: The rooms have never had a working digital key. Shame they charge you for parking. Sometimes when I go to the front desk to get physical keys, they don't give me the 'parking pass' (and I forget to ask). I've never had my car towed, but you never know. I wish they had those newer water fountains that are wall mounted with a filter, but instead they have a water cooler that gets fed from the wall.
The front desk service is hit and miss. Not going name names, but some people look like they don't care for people, while other people, like the most recent was very nice to the kids and very helpful.
The outdoor is heated and sufficiently large to accommodate many people. When it's a little chilly, it's wonderful to get into the pool, but disastrous when you leave the warm pool to encounter the cold air. There is a little bar there that I never took advantage of, but I've seen people order drinks from there.
Our most recent visit, we had a pool view balcony, but you really can't see much of the ocean from there. So don't expect much of a view if you upgrade to those specific rooms.
For when I visit for my marathons, I appreciate how they waive the parking fee, provide "on-the-go" breakfast since we are long gone before breakfast officially opens, and how the bus to the race is right outside. They also let us do a late checkout to let us return to the hotel and shower before we leave with our new race medals! Although one time the late checkout wasn't coordinated and I had cleaning ladies in my room while I was showering.
To conclude, from my previous visits, this is my number 1 go-to hotel in Cocoa Beach due to its amenities, location, and Hilton...
