Drove from Daytona Beach Florida to meet up with 2 other couple friends(all over the age of 40) for a night of couple fun in their new hometown Cocoa beach.after visiting a few spots we were hungry and decided to try good ole waffle house that is pretty known in Florida for their late night breakfast. This waffle house was not like ANY other I have been too:( ...we were told by staff because of world star videos of people fighting they no longer let people inside at night to eat or order AND you can't even take a bite of your food on their premises. The security guard started off by watching intensely from his undercover suv but eventually he got out of his car with his security hat and shirt on and watched us even closer like hawks or like criminals as our food started coming out. Standing up against his car with his arms crossed and the worst attitude ever. The surrounding area seemed so pretty and calm but this waffle house WILL make you feel like you are in the ghetto simply by the actions of the staff and security gaurd. It was so sad to see being a native of Florida and knowing what waffle houses are known for here, this was just not it and what's the point of being open if you are going to treat your customers so poorly. My husband was so hungry he opened his container on the seat of our car to take a bite while we waited what seemed like forever for everyone's food to be finished cooking and the security guard was so rude, loud and embarrassing running over to the car and scolding him like a child about their policies of no eating what you paid for on the premises but In the meantime a few more customers walk up smoking marijuana and absolutely nothing was said or done....seems like this waffle house likes to uphold a certain image and its not a very nice...
Read moreI've been going to this location for the last 3 years due to its convenience. The food has always just been ok but their customer service members usually make the difference. The last couple times I've been to this location I've noticed the change in servers however the same managers were there. Tonight however was completely different, a server I've never seen argued with me about the meal I've ordered for the last 3 years. I asked to speak to a manager and she said it's pointless but sure. She then proceeds to talk to the "manager" (which I'm quite sure was not a manager) who then screams across the restaurant to me, "we have never done that and never will". I was then forced to continue this conversation over a distance because my request for him to come closer was denied. Very quickly I decided this was not the place I wanted to eat at, as I was leaving he screamed "the manager will be here at 7am". This is in no way shape or form that a manager should speak to a customer and on top of that it is the same exact meal that I've ordered 1-2 tines a month for the last 3 years. The only difference tonight in my part was that instead of coming in with my wife and child I came in with my mixed race brother, this may not be a factor in the situation however that is the only change on my part.
2 years later same situation except this time a gentleman that barely speaks English that was serving us then said he was the manager and that they have never done this before and "you've never spoken to a manager". And this is why I haven't been back to this pace in over a year. Now if you look at their menu what I always do is placed in black in white that says it CAN be done and is a $2 charge. So why is this such a problem only at...
Read moreThis Waffle House is in a very convenient location however it is the dirtiest Waffle House that we have ever been in! This is not based on one experience it is based on four.
Last time we walked in the whole restaurant was empty and looked deserted, the cook and the waitress were somewhere in the back, and the cook came out slowly and went behind the counter and said sit wherever you like, the table I walked up to was dirty, and when I said this tables dirty he again said sit wherever you want with no intention of cleaning anything; especially not the table I was referring to. The grill area was messy and greasy. The refrigerator doors had greasy hand prints all over them. The windows look like they haven't been washed since before a very bad storm. I still go there because I love Waffle House's hash browns fully loaded, and it is the only one nearby, so every month or so I go in hoping someone noticed and fixed the cleanliness issues, to no avail. I would go there very often if it was clean. I really hope there is a regional manager that will inspect this Waffle House. The employees have no care for their job. They have no responsibility, they stand around in an empty restaurant with food on the work areas on the tables and on the floor and neglect the...
