Nice hotel rooms and exteriors but has some issues.
Front office staff was apathetic and that ruined my stay. I am a single traveling with a toddler and I asked to stay over one day but they said I would have to switch rooms. They said someone already booked my current room and offered no help or other solutions. No one traveling with small kids, pack n play, toys, baby food, etc wants to pack it all up and then switch rooms for a night. Let’s be real. When I came down for breakfast at 7:30 I had to hunt someone down for a high chair for several minutes. I couldn’t find a breakfast attendant and eventually asked the front office lady who getting herself some tea versus noticing me struggle with my one year old. Housekeeping also kept opening my door once at 8am and again at 9:30 which then woke my baby up and I called front desk to complain about it but they were apathetic again.. It’s the little things like that which add up fast and become exhausting. To me it felt like a hotel that was being run without accountability.
I think the worst feature of this property is lack of front parking. Only has 6 spots to park in the front. During the day, not a big deal but at night, all the front spots were full by 8 pm and I was nervous To park in their rear parking garage. It backs up to a dark alley in a transitional neighborhood and is completely exposed to anyone who can just be lurking back there. It is well lit. The parking garage has a lot of “park at your own risk. Remove valuables from your car” signs which likely means they’ve had car break ins.
I wouldn’t stay again for these reasons but mainly the staff. I need peace and superior customer service when I travel and I didn’t find...
Read moreWhen we checked in at 9 pm there was a football league having registration in the lobby. There were over 200 people in there. Lots of very small children. As we drove up they were running through the street and it was dark outside and we could’ve easily run over a child. Our friends who arrived at 6:30 said it was the same when they got here. 3-4 hours of chaos in the lobby and outside the hotel. When I was walking in to check in people were standing in front of the door and I had a hard time even getting through to come in the front door. I asked what was going on and the staff told me that a football league was having their registration in the lobby. So, the hotel was overrun with tons of people who weren’t staying there and making it where we could not access the amenities like the pool etc. because there’s no room. I will never stay here again. Such a terrible experience. The hotel was completely not equipped to handle this and no one said anything to those who aren’t staying there to leave. They just let them over run the hotel. Registration for a large group of hundreds of people should not be in a hotel lobby. They should’ve either had it at the football facility or rented a ballroom or separate facility for this. Our kids wanted to stay here because of the pool and the breakfast and I am very doubtful that will even be able to get in to get breakfast tomorrow because I think the same people who are in the lobby who weren’t staying here may come here to eat breakfast. ...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS
We have stayed at many embassy suites and have had nothing but excellent experiences until we visited this one. We were putting our three small children to bed around 9:30 and our volume was standard volume of any room that has many people including an infant(and it’s suites, so I would say it’s safe to assume most rooms are going to be families or larger groups), if anything our kids were actually being pretty quiet. Nonetheless the front desk knocked on our door and called us to tell us to be quiet. Which of course actually riled our previously calm kids up. We were baffled and kind of annoyed that someone would make such a comment, but we tried to brush it off and stay focused on getting our kids to sleep. My husband did answer the phone and politely informed them that we were putting kids to sleep. Shortly after that we had gotten our older kids down. A couple hours later we were seconds from getting the baby down when they called AGAIN waking up the two older kids we had worked so hard to get down along with the baby who was majorly struggling(which I’ll add—with little to no crying, and even if she had been crying she is an infant sleeping in a new place). When we didn’t pick up as to not engage in their pettiness and cluelessness about how hard it is to get kids and babies to sleep in a new setting, they knocked AGAIN. We continued to manage it with the patience and grace for them that they clearly don’t have for...
