I made reservation online due to an emergency situation of my apartment flooding. When I arrived at the motel, I noticed that there were air fresheners about the hallways which I am extremely sensitive and allergic to as I have breathing issues and asthma. When I asked to cancel my reservation, I was told I couldn't and that a $50 fee would also be charged. The lady at the desk seemed to act like she was understanding, but said she couldn't cancel it on her end and that I had to speak to the manager in the morning. When I arrived the next morning, I was told that I couldn't receive a refund and the lady who I talked with the night before stressed to the manager her side of the story and was rather 2 faced about it when they seemed like they couldn't authorize it, really what she was doing was dodging the responsibility and putting it on someone else.
Also, upon arrival, I noticed several sketchy transitant hoodrat types who looked like they just got out staying at the motel as well or at least they were present, since I don't know for sure they were guests. I did not feel safe there. I had about $5,000 worth of video production gear with me that night since my apartment was unexpectedly flooded and I did not feel safe staying.
It was also my birthday and I even told the lady behind the desk that hoping for some ounce of caring. However, did not help being honest and down to earth with her.
I have cancelled reservations at other motels in the past and have never been treated like this. This is a new policy to me!
Isn't the customer always right? I feel very disappointed in this type of behavior.
I would please like a refund as I did NOT stay at this motel for the night. It seems completely wrong to not receive a refund and I plan on calling your corporate office...
Read moreI want to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding our recent booking at Super 8 by Wyndham College Station, located at 301 Texas Avenue, College Station, TX 77840. We reserved a room for two nights through Perks at Work to attend the Games of Texas for Track & Field, where my son is coaching. He arrived a night ahead of us and immediately reported serious issues with the property. Upon arrival, he found the hotel to be in a deplorable state. The lobby and hallways reek of urine and other unpleasant odors, and the overall condition of the facility is extremely poor. It is clear that this hotel is not being maintained to any reasonable standard of cleanliness, safety, or comfort. Frankly, it is shocking that a hotel bearing the Wyndham name could be in such a state. We expected a level of quality and professionalism associated with your brand, and this experience has fallen far below that expectation. The staff was also unwelcoming and unprofessional, further adding to our dissatisfaction. To make matters worse, due to booking through a third-party portal (Perks at Work), we are unable to cancel or change the reservation, despite the unacceptable conditions. This situation has not only affected our plans but has also caused undue stress during what was meant to be a positive and family-centered event. My husband is an employee of Republic Services, and we intend to raise this issue with the company to ensure that this hotel is removed from any recommended lodging lists through employee programs.
I urge you to investigate the conditions at this location immediately and take appropriate action. The current state of this hotel is not just a poor reflection on the individual property—it damages the credibility of the Wyndham...
Read moreOh man, where do I start. It smells like a 1980s motel. I swear it smells of old cigarettes and aquanet. They even had spray fragrance in the hallways trying to mask it. We only stayed here because everywhere was charging exorbitant rates for yell practice before TU game. ( we still paid close to $300 for a single night here). I wanted to leave as soon as we walked in. I take a shower everyday but I could not stomach it at this hotel. The ceiling was coming down, the bath tub had paint over spray, stains, and the metal pieces did not look cleaned from prior guests. The sink was clean though. The rooms are tiny, which can be dealt with. The sheets had stains and holes in them but were neatly done. We debated sleeping with all our clothes on. The TV did not work. We tried turning on the heat but it smelled so bad we had to immediately turn it off. The alarm clock is crica 1988. We were too tired to complain about anything, and we didn’t even want to bother. While the staff was friendly when we interacted with them, we were just ready to escape. It didn’t seem like a place where people complained, or if you did it would not go over well. If you want a rollaway bed, they actually charge $25, with stains and all. I don’t think we have ever been charged for that and we travel not infrequently. It barely fit if you didn’t need to walk around. We did not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on that, other than we did not think it would be safe for our stomachs. The parking lot lighting was good and it’s close to campus. I can’t believe this is a Wyndham property. It really felt like we were in a seedy motel you see in tv or movies. It was an experience for sure. This hotel had no business charging what they did...
