Front desk employees clearly have an issue with me staying here. I've NEVER caused problems actually this is the 2nd time I've stayed. When I first arrived I was asked very rudely what did I need that immediately made me feel completely uncomfortable and I felt like I was in a place that I wasn't supposed to be now we all know when somebody is actually honestly being nice or when somebody is being nice but being sarcastic with it and that's exactly how it was I was treated like I wasn't supposed to be there. I was given one word answers to my questions they didn't explain to me anything at all I felt completely discriminated against due to the fact that I was an African-American. Now I look young which is a great thing but I'm actually 40 years old which Isnt old but it's definitely an age where somebody shouldn't be playing any type of games at all and I was looked at and treated like I was that youngster that was there to cause problems. I was so uncomfortable I didn't even want to walk past the desk on the day shift I was that uncomfortable before I went upstairs I did see how the next checking guest was treated they were greeted properly any questions that they had they were answered fully it was a completely different conversation and checking compared to the one that I had very disappointed feel very discriminated against and I don't recommend this hotel to anybody very upset with my experience. Now I needed another night due to repairs going on in my home and the rate was great being it's the 4th of July weekend. Now keep in mind the prior day of checkout I went to the desk and asked if I could pay for the room again he said no due to it being booked already so I asked if there was anything else available he said "probably" not. So I said "PROBABLY" or no there's not? He said there is but there " much more" expensive basically telling me I couldn't afford the room but didn't even ask if I wanted to. Very rude and very pushy on trying to get me out of there. Again never caused any issues and even got my deposit back. I go in at 2pm to try and check in because cwe been in the car and it's the same guy. Same attitude. Same one word answers. Yes check in isn't until 3pm but this is just an hour prior and theres NO rooms available supposedly in this good size hotel suites. As I sit in the car I observe SEVERAL people unloading to go check in and are able to. I would've paid extra to check in early if I was able. But I guess by the looks of me I couldn't do that nor afford the much more expensive rooms that were "PROBABLY" available the night before. Or Maybe I would be the type of person that would get enough attitude with the " Fake nice employee" but noticibly rude for no reason behavior and just say forget it and leave but no this isn't fair for me as a customer to feel that way EXPESSIALY when I paid $175 plus a $50 deposit the night prior. So once I'm in I'll stay in my room until shift change to avoid the ackwardness and uncomfortable feeling I shouldn't be feeling. With the cost this is all I could get unless I go to s. Nevada! I won't recommend to anyone ever. I will continue to post about this terrible experience on all travel...
Read moreI hate to share a bad review however this place was really dissapointing. If you are on vacation and want a comfortable experience you may need to pass up the slightly "better" price for this one. We used Priceline for a good deal on a decent 3 star bed and breakfast. Ideally something related to the Hyatt, Hilton, Best Western category. The people were nice, however the place seemed to be ran cheap and lazy.
First warning sign was noticing that they store trash in the hallway, but they were kind enough to let us check in early so that was a relief.
We got our first room that unfortunately was handicapped because of our early arrival and we had a pet. That was understandable, we didn't mind, and again the guy at the front desk was very kind. As we settled into the room we noticed the shower was unusable though. Unless you wanted water all over the entire bathroom floor because the draining situation was too level for water to drain properly. Then when I pulled back the blankets on the bed there were little black dead bugs throughout the sheets.
So we kindly decided to ask for another room. The second room felt much better, but still a little unclean. We found a dead bug underneath the bed and few dirty spots in the shower, but overall it was okay.
I think the worst part of our experience was the breakfast though. The tables had an unclean dusty appearance and the only thing that was decent was the fruit. The first day the waffle was great, but I noticed as they got more busy they must have watered down the waffle mix. So from then on they weren't as hearty and sadly turned into a crispy airfilled waffle. The hotel only had one waffle maker too, and with the majority choosing waffles (probably because the sausage and eggs were incredibly watery with no flavor) that made for an uncomfortable, overly crowded waiting period for each serving between everyone. The bagels were okay, but tiny as well as a little stale. We also spotted them taking out the eggs that were premade frozen in zipblock bags in the utility freezer.
Lastly they hosted a wedding party that had incredibly loud music. It actually forced us to want to go out because we couldn't even enjoy relaxing while watching TV.
So aside from the fact that the place overall is outdated and slightly unclean, they could at least have a really great breakfast to make up for the rest of the experience otherwise I think I would have preferred an even cheaper price at a motel 6 because at least I know what I...
Read moreThis is the first negative review I’ve ever written about a hotel, but my recent stay was so disturbing that I feel obligated to speak out. While the man who checked me in was kind, and the breakfast staff was pleasant, the overall experience left me and my family feeling unsafe and violated.
I previously worked for Hilton for several years before starting my professional career, so I know what proper hotel standards look like — and this stay fell far below acceptable.
During my visit, several men entered my hotel room without notice, claiming they were there to "measure the countertop," despite a Do Not Disturb sign being posted on my door both days. On one occasion, a man entered assuming no one was inside. When he unexpectedly encountered my sister, he quickly tried to exit. She confronted him, and he stated he was supposed to be working in the room across the hall instead — which makes his presence in our room even more troubling.
Additionally, I found a disturbing handwritten note left on my car that contained inappropriate and threatening language, including comments about my appearance and a disturbing suggestion to “let him bound me.” This, coupled with unauthorized entry by housekeeping when we were out, made it clear that our privacy was repeatedly violated.
I was traveling with my two daughters and no longer felt safe staying there. I made the decision to leave the hotel at 3 AM the next morning.
Let me be very clear: this is not an issue of culture — I live just 15 minutes from the Mexico border and have deep respect for the people and community. This is about basic safety, professionalism, and accountability — and this hotel failed on all three.
Since the incident, I’ve attempted to contact corporate, but my concerns have been ignored. I have now involved legal counsel and am moving forward formally. I spoke with a lady but I’m sure she investigated and seen that another key card was used that day that belong to their staff.
If this review helps even one family, solo traveler, or young woman avoid this type of situation, then it was worth writing. If you value your privacy and personal safety, I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere — preferably with a hotel that enforces clear safety protocols, respects guest boundaries, and holds its staff to a higher standard and fixes issues quickly and makes the guest feel cared...
