(Before I tell this epic saga, I want to state that I only mean to direct this towards one individual and my experience with said individual.)
The situation that got me "86ed" is laughable as I have done wayyy worse and still been a welcomed patron. It's what leads me to believe this was why we were ultimately "86ed" was not that of a logical or rational "Best for Business". My friend and I were sitting at the bar, deep in conversation. Without thinking, I took a drag from my vape pen. Without even a friendly warning, we were approached and immediately kicked out. That's fine, I am aware of the laws but some places enforce it a little different...or at least their staff does. I was cordial and agreed, my friend on the other hand lol did not appreciate the rude and inflammatory way that he escalated the situation. She, unlike myself, was not willing to just walk out and take it, she made a comment on his demeanor and that's when he raised his voice causing a verbal altercation to take place. Now, as a professional in my industry, an industry which requires tact in problem resolution, most of which are with people, I would NEVER use profanities against a customer, nevertheless a woman. Guess this little man did not get the memo. The one thing that he said to her which more than likely caused the banning of us was her telling him that he had a "little-man sydrome". Which, I whole heatedly agree with given the outcome.
I would love to know when the head of security gets fired. His demeanor is not that of bouncer, especially the lead. He has clearly never seen Roadhouse...he should maybe go work in an industry where you never have to interact with anyone. Having a napoleon complex and having zero de-escalation skills is not indicative of someone in charge of enforcing rules of an establishment. Makes sense that he got the job, I heard he was the son of the owner.
All-in-all though, the karaoke DJs are legit. The bar staff is amazing. Sucks we cant come back as I truly enjoyed karaoke night there. There are plenty of spots every single day my friends and I can...
Read moreThis place is rediculous. I turned 27 just a few days ago so my Colorado drivers license had expired on my birthday. I renewed it online and had a screenshot of the renewal confirmation, emailed receipt, and notification of renewal all on that day, saved to my phone should I get pulled over or something. Anyways, when asked for my ID after ordering a beer I was told by the waitress she would need to verify with the owner if she could accept the ID as a valid form of identification. She returned and told me it couldn't be accepted. When I looked at her like she was stupid, she said "you have to have a valid drivers license to drink"... no you retard... no you don't... you need to have a valid drivers license to drive. Using a state issued ID (valid or expired) for age verification, to prove you are over the age of 21 is all you need. You don't need a driver's license or one that isn't expired. You don't need to be able to legally drive in order to drink, if that was the case you could drink at 18. Valid forms of age verification include state issued ID's, military ID's, and a US passport. Then she tried to tell me if a police officer entered the establishment and checked ID's, they would get into trouble. No... I am law enforcement and this is beyond far from the truth. Pull your head out of your butt and learn this thing called "customer service". I've been looking for a new place with good wings and beer to watch Thursday night football at... thought you might be the place... after tonight F that. You lost business tonight and potentially quite a bit after tonight. I will not be coming back again and I will not recommend you to anyone.
FYI the picture was taken at Wyatt's Pub and Grill just a mile or two away. Customer service here was 100x better. They have AMAZING wings, Phillycheesteak bites, and great priced beer. I HIGHLY...
Read moreEdit: we were already phasing this place out but we were still coming about once a month. After last night that won't even be happening. We got nasty warm beer and went to ask for cold ones and the lady said she warned him they had been out. I understood that and asked since it was but one get one if I could give her back the two super gross beers for one cold beer that was paid for, I thought this was fair. When she said no my dad got a bit loud and got kicked out, I understood why that part happened. I went out to make sure he was safe then back in to update my friends then back out again to call him a taxi. When I tried to come back in for the third time they said I was kicked out as well since I was helping him get home safe! I think it is completely ridiculous that they are discouraging us from helping each other out. I was very polite and non argumentative the entire time. The doorman was instigating my father after that, purposely trying to start a fight with him. It was the super white guy who really shouldn't have been acting the way he was. Even the other door man had to tell him to stop, if he wasn't a doorman he would have gotten kicked out himself. I am very disappointed in the ethics and customer service that we're shown at this Establishment last night.
I love Dublin house. They do kareoke every night and have dancing on Thursday Friday and Saturday. They also have food. The only down side I think is their bathrooms can be a little bleh (only a little not to bad) and on the nights that there is dancing the music tends to stick to one very specific genre. I don't mind that genre just wish there would be...
