Had a great time and ate great food here. However, we were asked to move seats because my party was occupying an area that seated 6. Apparently the other party didn't provide information on how many were coming and apparently the restauraunt did not know or ask them how many either. We were hesitant to move because they offered only floor seats next to the front window when we were asked to move. We offered to move to the sushi bar instead and they said that was fine. It's not a pleasant experience to have to move after being seated. It might be in the interest of the restauraunt to practice better information gathering so it doesn't happen more often. As far as table service we felt somewhat ignored as the dirty dishes sat next to use the whole time we were there. They also did not offer us any condiments nor could we have asked because our waitress did not come over after we moved and we ended up getting up to find our own. The food was absolutely excellent and so was the attitude of the staff. We enjoyed conversation with the sushi chef and the person who seated us was polite as well. We hope next time it is a much better experience next time concerning the attentiveness. Thank you Jun!

This is my go-to place every time I'm in Colorado Springs. It's amazing that you can get such good sushi in a landlocked state, but it's all amazing, and the nigiri is always generously-sized. I'm especially fond of their salmon and eel, but it's the squid that absolutely blows my mind. I lived in Japan for more than four years and never had squid so good. Jun's rolls are also fabulous. I don't like cream cheese in sushi rolls, ever...except at Jun, where somehow they make it work. We always get a Becca roll and a Blind Date roll and they are always phenomenal. The atmosphere is nice, with a sort of traditional Japanese austerity to it, and the service is always pleasant. There are fake Japanese -style tables (floor level, but with a sort of well space to dangle your legs in if you're not keen to sit in the Japanese manner) and I always appreciate it when I'm greeted with a hearty "Irasshaimase!" (the traditional greeting when customers enter shops and restaurants and such). It's an expensive meal, especially when you order like we do, so I don't do it often, but when I do it's worth every penny.

Came in with my dad for lunch. There was only 1 other table the whole time we were there. Had to ask for waters, utensils, plates. . . Basically, everything other than the food itself. My water had food particles in it, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask for a new glass since I'd had to ask for water to begin with. When the food did come out, the two California rolls we got were mismatched in cut, not cleaned up, and my dad got a significantly larger portion than mine. His was better looking but was cut unevenly. The tempura was super bland, like straight up bland, the meat had no flavor and the batter was plain. My chicken teriyaki was dry and not fully sauced. The salmon teriyaki tasted old and mushy, the sauce not really hiding the old tasting fish. The waitress was SUPER nice but seemed nervous and confused. Just overall not a good experience. I will not be returning to this location.

I went here last night expecting a good time, but the place was packed and insanely loud I couldn’t hear myself think. I had to wait a whole hour just to get a table, nay, a bar stool up at the counter. Which was completely rude and oversighted by the staff, I am a woman and I deserve a table, not smushed between the local biker gang. The miso tastes like that generic packet miso, stale and bland. When it finally came to ordering, I ordered some california rolls and the yummy roll. both said that they were not battered or fried. So to my dismay I found not only the yummy roll was battered and fried, they had stuffed raw tuna in the middle. I instantly demanded for it to be taken back and prepared the proper way, the way actual japanese people do, cooked thoroughly with no tempura bs. Even the california rolls had fish eggs, UNKNOWN FISH EGGS, slathered on top. No thanks. I swear this place was deliberately trying to give me food poisoning. And then came the bill, $50+ for waiting an hour and subpar food. You might as well buy store sushi and microwave it at home just to have decent food. And if anyone tells me that sushi is “supposed to be raw”, then you’re all swamped up in millennial bs. Sushi is and always has been...
