PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. THIS WAS THE WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. So I booked this hotel for my birthday. Mind you, I spoke to a representative and they told me I could have my party there and that I could have party supplies up there. When I checked in, they told me that I couldn't have the party and I was obviously disappointed, but I accepted it and cancelled my reservation. It should have been that. However, a week later, I found a partial charge on my card and was confused and went to my email. Apparently, I checked out on Sunday at 1:59pm. I HAVE NEVER STEPPED IN AFTER I CANCELLED SO HOW DID I CHECK OUT? Mind you I was staying at an Airbnb, downtown, so did I magically go to Easton to check out of a hotel I WASN'T EVEN STAYING AT? Wait a minute, it gets worse. Then I spoke with the manager and she told me she that I could get my refund back if I showed her proof I was staying somewhere else. Mind you, imagine if I didn't rent out the Airbnb, would she just not refund me my money? But, not wanting any problems, I sent her proof on April 29. I didn't get a reply and so I replied to that email if she received it. No reply. I called the hotel back after and they said she wasn't in. I called back finally today and you won't believe what they had to say. I had the unfortunate experience speaking to Samuel. He said he would check in for me and see what he could do and put me on hold for 13 minutes. When he came back he said that not only can he not give me back my refund, but that I am currently on the No Rent List because, and get this, I caused major problems in the office and that the employees threw unkind words because of this situation and that they can't deal with me anymore. Mind you, I was speaking to them professional this entire time. I will never ever step foot into that...
Read moreWe stayed at home2 suites Easton for a state tournament for our sons baseball team. They had 2 teams staying there with coaches and parents and were aware it was a baseball team that they blocked the rooms for.|Within the first 2 hours of arrival the desk clerk who I believe was named Sean threatened to kick us all out because kids were running in the halls. This was all prior to quiet time at 10pm. He said the general manager was watching all the cameras and would throw us out as they had thrown our entire teams in the past.|There is nothing for the kids to do once at the hotel. The outside areas are very small, and the indoor poor was salty, burning the kids eyes, and causing scrapes with bleeding due to the rough bottom. |I attempted to take the boys next to the hotel to play a game of wiffle ball and was shut down again due to their being “ticks” in the field. This was a grassy mowed area next to the hotel and they were not allowed to be in. |The older team, 13 and 14 year olds were not allowed to walk to their room unattended without risk of getting “thrown out”. Our boys were respectful, did not cause damage, and were not loud in any way.|The desk clerk who kept threatening us would take long breaks in his car coming back smelling like marijuana, and the last night was taking pictures of our group of parents in the lobby with his personal phone. |They will not clean your room unless you track someone down and then it seemed a hassle. Some people did not have their rooms cleaned for 3 days. Do not stay here, especially with...
Read moreI recently stayed at Home2 Suites Hilton Columbus Easton and while I truly appreciated the convenient location and the potential for a pleasant stay, I was very disappointed by the condition of the room and the lack of proper housekeeping.
Upon arrival, our room was noticeably dirty. We immediately wiped down the shelves and surfaces ourselves and removed items left in the fridge. We understood that housekeeping was scheduled for every other day, and on the second day, while the linens and towels were changed, the room itself was not cleaned.
Assuming perhaps we needed to request full cleaning explicitly, we made a point two days later to ask for the room to be cleaned as we left in the morning. When we returned at lunchtime, it was untouched. We followed up again with staff, but when we returned later that evening, nothing had been done—not even fresh towels or linens.
I went to the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do. I requested fresh linens and towels, which were eventually provided, and after asking three times, I was finally given a vacuum. I then had to clean the room myself—vacuuming, changing sheets, taking out the trash, and disinfecting all surfaces with wipes I had brought from home.
No guest should have to clean their own room just to feel comfortable and able to sleep well. I’m genuinely shocked by the lack of hospitality and basic service standards at this...
