Had to make reservations through park and fly because I couldn’t pay the parking portion through bonvoy. Upon arrival I was greeted by the lady behind counter. Gave her ID and credit card. She said I had to enter a pin # for my card. I explained that my business card didn’t have a PIN number and I’ve never in 15 yrs of traveling have I ever been asked. Their machine asked for a pin which I did not have so she would not check me in. She said I need $20 for incidentals. I handed her a 20 but she wouldn’t accept it. Has to be on a credit card she said. I tried my card 5 more times and still the same thing. Enter a pin. I call Marriott Bonvoy and the supervisor said why won’t she take the 20? No idea I said. She said I’ll put you on hold and call the property directly. I stayed on hold for an entire hour. She never came back to me nor did the phone ring here at the property. I finally hung up. asked her to try the card a 6th time which she did and this time it didn’t ask for a pin and went though. That’s an hour of my life I can’t get back. I get my room key and head to room. I then head out the side/back door of hotel so I could go park my car in the gravel lot where I’m asked to park it. The lot is full so I wait another hour until a space opens up. I park and walk back to hotel back door. Sign says use key card to enter which did not work. I walk back to front of building and go to front desk to let her know the key card doesn’t work. She replied I know it’s broken just like the elevator. So if you know the door is broken and the key card won’t work how about putting a sign up on the door and letting people know when they check in about the situation so we don’t look dumb when we walk to park our car and go back and the key doesn’t work.
I’ve stayed at the Fairfield in the same parking lot dozens of times and never gone through this. Next time I’ll stay there if they are not full.
I did call bonvoy and let them know a second time what happened as well what transpired on the first call with the bonvoy supervisor and all they said was we will put a ticket in so they can over look the system at the property. Not a I’m sorry, not a let’s do something for you for the inconvenience,...
Read moreThe hotel is nice…..but
There was a group of us that stayed at the hotel. The hotel is new and nice and fresh. They need to review their policies about the pool. You had to reserve the pool and you could only reserve it for one hour at a time. I reserve the pool for an hour and then another parent reserve the pool for another hour. There is a half hour buffet between the time so they can clean the pool area. Even though we were the same group of people going to use the pool for two hours we still had to leave the pool area for that half hours so they could clean. We explained that is the same group of people but she kept saying it was policy. Then you’re only allowed to have 10 people in the pool or a pool area. We had 11. She made sure to reiterate that we could only have 10 people. I know Covid was around but you would think now that they have changed their policies a little bit. The Hilton next-door didn’t have any restrictions on their pool. As an add on I would stop and get some beer or liquor because the bar is not opened or stocked as the picture shows. As of this date they do not serve food so you will need to go out or have it delivered. 9:23 pm update - we were told that we need to settle down in the lobby bar area because they couldn’t hear to check people in. We have a total of 8 adults in the lobby/bar area and we were the only ones there. If we can hear the tv in the lobby/bar area then we are not being loud. This is the worst hotel and manager(?) that I have stayed at. I will not be coming back to this hotel. Worst customer...
Read moreOnly thing good here is the location. I had to travel to Ohio for a week for work and chose this hotel because the reviews online were decent. I seriously wish I had booked another Marriott. This is hands down the dirtiest Marriott I've been to and I'm a Bonvoy member that travels very often.
The room I got was seriously gross, see the pictures attached. Im a female traveling solo, there should be no reason there is dry pee around the back and outside of the toilet. The sink stoppers in the bathroom also don't stay up so if you want the water to drain you have to manually hold it open! The kitchenette stove and counters were disgusting. They have on site laundry, but no way to use them unless you carry cash. If you don't have cash you'll have to walk to the hotel next door to use the atm and pay a $5 transaction fee. Not even the people at the front desk are nice. The night employee, tall with curly blonde hair, was a total jerk. He seemed put out for having to answer the phone and was extremely short and rude when having to explain where to go for the shuttle. The shuttle service was one of the reasons I chose this hotel! If you don't like your job, then at least try to pretend for the 2 minutes that it takes to answer the phone and tell someone "meet at the on- hotel pick up zone". If you want a good experience, or at least at bare minimum a clean room, I wouldn't...
