Mike... You are a liar. Plain and simple. Furthermore, I was never told not to come back, ever. You got a bad review for your unprofessionalism and your over the top exaggerations. Anyone who reads my reviews know that I'm honest and write with integrity.
Spectacular little gem of a place! Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. The pillows were absolutely dreamy to snuggle up to. Rooms were super clean and smelled amazing. Office lady was professional, courteous, attentive, polite, always smiling, and a joy to work with.
UPDATED Review: While everything above is accurate regarding the property, I have a little beef with the male employee. I am not one to give a bad review, however, I believe that this was noteworthy and dropped the stars from 5 to 1.I believe customer service and professionalism are imperative. We were loading at the port and it got dark on us so we weren't able to finish. We had to get up early that next morning. We just wanted to wind down and relax. The next morning, we were up at daylight and scrambling to leave. We accidentally picked up the bottle of minute maid fruit punch and the lid wasn't on all the way... It spewed a little. I was in a hurry, didn't think a thing of the little dots on the sheets. I packed up the pizza that we weren't able to finish the night before, left an empty pan of pasta on the table. We also shared a few drinks of crown between us that night and left the bottle on the table as well. We didn't even have a chance to shower.... never even set foot in it. We practically ate, slept, and left to go to work. A little after 12 noon, I get a phone call from a male employee who sounded gravely concerned and highly irritated. He started off the conversation with "WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR ROOM LAST NIGHT?" I was immediately taken aback and didn't understand his question. I explained to him that we spilled a little bit of the fruit punch and he started in that the sheets were RUINED and the room had to be taken out of service to be cleaned from top to bottom, etc etc.... I asked... "because we spilled a drink?" Now, mind you... this drink more or less spewed little drops.... I didn't spill it over and just let it pour out all over the bed. He went on and on about how we trashed his hotel room.... .excuse me?? It was barely even slept in.... He said we left food, no I left an empty pasta pan from pizza hut. I packed up the food and took it with us. One serving pasta pan was left empty. (That's what the maid is paid for.....) He said we left liquor bottles everywhere. No....we had ONE liquor bottle. It was left on the desk. He went on the insult me with telling me that he gave us a room at a great rate and we trashed it... I even offered to pay for the sheets that we "RUINED" and don't know why it was even taken out of service if the sheets were just stained, change them ..and I offered to pay for them. He said he was losing the revenue for the room for the night...and I offered to cover that as well. He said he was so mad at the moment that he would have to "think about whether he was going to ban me from the property or just charge me regular rates until I could learn to respect the property" Excuse me?? I wish I had taken a picture before I left... this is utterly ridiculous! I was beginning to wonder if someone had come into the room after we left and trashed it or something because this was way over and beyond rational. Completely unprofessional. This room was NOT trashed. There weren't liquor bottles everywhere, there was one empty bottle. There wasn't food everywhere, it was one tin from pizza hut that had pasta marinara in it....and it was empty. The rest of the food was packed up and taken with us for lunch. I waited a few days before I updated my review so that I could think about it and decide whether my feelings were just hurt or if he was truly unprofessional. Mike, you are a liar about our phone conversation. Unbelievably...
Read moreWe specifically requested an ocean view room and ended up smack dab in front of Fajitaville and walked right into the stair case. I contacted the front desk immediately and asked for this to be rectified and was told that they were booked and unable to accommodate the request. The entire stay there was never more than 4 cars in the parking lot so no clue who the heck was staying in the other rooms. Sheer laziness. When first inspecting the room, everything looked fine. Nice sized bed, the room had alot of wood finishings which gave it a real homey feel. Upon closer inspection the shower curtain had make up stains on it, the shower had water stains as if it hadn't been wiped down, the very top layered towel that was hanging on the towel rack had a fresh hot cheeto looking finger stain on it (I was able to wipe some of it off with a tissue) and a huge long hair on it. After taking those towels off the rack to set them aside and request more I found another towel with another hair. The comforter had multiple stains all colored differently and it smelled as if it hadn't been used (I believe this to be a normal occurrence prior to COVID but come on now!) After a quick rinse, my husband kicked the floor towel off the step that it had been placed on by the staff and ANOTHER wad of hair was on that as well. While brushing my teeth, I found one more hair that had apparently been stuck in the sink drain holes. I called the front desk to ask for replacements and received them very quickly. The next day I had a manager call up to my room with an apology and a 20% discount. Speaking of discounts, they made it a point to upsell me some tickets for the TX state aquarium where I would save about $4/ticket (great deal right?!) except they DID NOT tell me that it was "community week" in Corpus and every ticket was $2 at the door. Although, no this wouldnt be a part of their job, I do find it inappropriate that they not take the time to mention something like this since they partner with the other business and it is one of the attractions shown on the motel website. All in all, it was an OK stay and if we were ever in a pinch, ya we might stay here again but we would be taking all our own blankets, towels, pillows, and call ahead to make sure our room requests that we paid for...
Read more4-14-2024: Please read before booking THEY HAVE BED BUGS. My husband and I checked into this super cute beach front hotel, went to the beach then the top rank boxing event. Got back to the hotel around midnight to get some sleep then head back to Houston in the morning. SMH bruh, I woke up around 2:15am with my arm swollen and face itchy. I woke my husband up and asked if he was itching and we took our phones to look behind the bed and there they were, packed with blood. I’m so disgusted and want my refund. We left the hotel less than 30 mins later and we are so exhausted. The part that messed with me the most is them knowing and allowing us to have the room anyway. There’s no way you care about your guest. Now we are having to buy expensive bed bug laundry detergent and spray so it’s not transferred into my home. Dude I’m like livid. There’s no I’m sorrys because you knew! We wanted to support a small business and be by the beach. This hotel was a complete mistake 4-15-2024 Update: it’s now 8:46am and half of my face is completely swollen. I took Benadryl around 7am so hopefully it goes down and I don’t have to go to the hospital. My husband didn’t get bit as much as I did. Every time I look at my face I feel like some type of offering or something. Like they just sat around me and just feasted. I called Booking dot com because something just told me not to trust them, it was weird that even if the refund was getting sent to booking dot com, I would have gotten something about a refund. I gave them a call and they stated "we aren't on the refund board" they created a case and plan on contacting the property 4-16-2024: I contacted the property again and received no response. They are attempting to keep my money after they said I'll be getting a refund. Also by today the swelling on my face and arms went completely down and I didn't need to go to the hospital. The money spent on this hotel is now being spent on BED BUG spray to make sure it's not transferred to my home. AVOID THIS HOTEL 4-18-2024: they cut all communication with me, so I went through booking dot com for my refund 4-29-2024: waited to post until I...
