Was always cautioned about this hotel and stayed in Salem because of that. On 5/13 I decided to go against my better judgment and booked one of the 2 rooms available. It was the King suit with the jacuzzi. After using the bathroom the toilet would rock back and forth. There was broken tile. The exhaust fan was hanging halfway on the wall. In the rooms the carpets were filthy. Definitely could tell vacuuming wasn’t done regularly. Night stands were covered in dust. Also I could smell cigarettes while in one corner of the room and couldn’t figure out why. There was a cigarette butt in the desk drawer. A few other little things but to be charged over $230 for one night stay and experience what I did is completely unacceptable. I will drive the 15-20 minutes to Salem in the future. On a side note to this. I stayed in Lincoln City with an ocean view and jacuzzi in the room couple days prior this stay. That room was one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Price for that room was $175. I would have easily paid much more for how great of a room it was. So to go to this room in Dallas was disgusting at best.

Mediocre hotel with expensive price tag. No elevator or functional pool. Appears to be undergoing renovations as there were rolls of carpet in the hallways and parking lot. The spa pool was out of order. We got a king suite with a sofa couch. The sofa couch mattress was very thin and our 10 year old said the springs kept poking her. There were also no linens for the sofa bed in the room. She ended up just sleeping on the couch cushions. There were also m&ms and other trash around/under the sofa. The bathroom fan was very noisy. The toilet was very slow. The sink would back-up when washing your hands. We only got 2 towels. The stair hand rail had several nails sticking up that caught my hand once and scratched me pretty good. Not worth the expense(over $200 a night), stay elsewhere. Only redeeming quality was the nice breakfast staff and it was next door to Safeway. This hotel does not meet my expectation of a Best Western.

I stayed at the BW Dallas for 3 nights. The hotel staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet had a waffle station, some sort of eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits, gravy, chobani greek yogurt, boiled eggs, oatmeal, juice, and coffee. The bed was comfy, and the AC was cold. There is not an elevator, so if you require specific accommodations, I would reach out before your stay. Overall, 5 stars for this class of hotel.

The worst hotel service I’ve ever had...

We arrived at 1am with two small children as our other arrangements had fallen through and we were 2+ hours from home. They were the only place that had anything open so we went there. When we go there, I asked if they still had the last room open, the man at the front desk said they did and that multiple people had called in for that room tonight and then canceled last minute. He was obviously irritated by this and followed it up with “but that’s okay because I cheat the system a little. When they call and make the reservation, I take their credit card number. And then when they cancel or don’t show up, I’m able to buy my wife $500 or $600 worth of gifts on amazon on someone else’s dime.” Now I don’t know if he was joking or not (he didn’t seem like it) but that doesn’t really matter as it was an extremely unprofessional thing to say to a costumer especially AS HE HAD MY CREDIT CARD IN HIS HAND. I wanted to walk out at that point, but I had my two young kids, in the middle of the night, unfamiliar with the area and needed a place for them to sleep. Not to mention, he just told me what he does when people cancel reservations and he already had my card info...

After he finished my reservation I told him I had my support animal with me and tried to give him the paperwork for that. He refused to take it, wouldn’t even look at it. Demanded to know what disability I have that I “need a support animal so bad” and told me my dog wasn’t allowed in. (It’s illegal to ask anyone what their disability is that they need an animal for in that situation. Not to mention, it’s not anyone’s business) I reluctantly told him hoping it would make a difference to him... I assured him I had the proper documentation and asked him to please just look at it as it states I am legally allowed to travel and stay with him anywhere in the US and that I’ve never had a single problem with this before traveling with him and by not letting me do so, he was breaking the law. He refused and let me know if my dog was found in the room at all I’d be charged and extra $250 which I did not have. I was on the verge of tears and DID NOT want to stay there but genuinely didn’t have another option at that point. I couldn’t even go try to find a room somewhere else because he had already charged my card... I reluctantly got my kids settled in the room and made my dog comfortable in the car. My hubby went out and checked on our dog every hour and each time had to walk by the back of the reception desk where the employee was openly watching porn on his tablet each time.

If you’ve stayed here recently, or canceled a reservation here, I’d be calling your bank to keep an eye on suspicious activity. It’s the first thing I did...

I checked in there this last week. The guy at the desk was fine. He was fine but I had apparently booked my room to a third party service which was hotels America. So the problems that I had they told me that I had to go through hotels. America hotel America tells me now it needs to go through this place. You're a Best Western in Dallas, Oregon now. My first room that I checked into everything was fine until I rode into the bathroom. The tub was fit dirty all over the bottom and there was trash in the trash can so I went down. They gave me another room. I get to the other room in the other room. The TV doesn't work so the guy comes up tries to help me with the TV. He tried everything he could do said that he would make sure that he got a hold of his manager when they came in and let them know then I go in to go to the sink in the little vanity area and there's disposable gloves used in the trash. I get a hold of them again. And well I went down and he put me into a third room. Third room. Mind you was fine but by this time I know I get the room for several hours you know and overnight. But I'm a local care provider and I only have 8 hours off and those hours were to go in. Watch the TV for a little bit. Eat my breakfast. Said I brought that I ended up eating cold and to a couple hours of sleep and then go back. Manager never did get a hold of me but when I went down to the desk it was the assistant manager which told me that they weren't able to do anything on there and I had to go through the third party person third-party people three letters in keep telling me no I need to go through the hotel itself the first time that I have been that disappointed and I think it's horrible that they can't make it right. I just kept getting shipped around to where I paid all that money out and nothing was done to make me feel better about how much money I paid for that many hours. I understand my hours were very few but that's all the hours I have off so I would think for that much money I can go in, watch my TV, take a shower and a clean shower. Not worry about there being disposable gloves that have been used by somebody else in the trash. I like this place but I just don't know they're not making any of this right. I hope...

$177 a night for hard beds, poor lighting, towels with holes, no water pressure and horrific customer service... no thank you. My wife surprised me by booking a room for Friday and Saturday night on Valentine’s Day weekend, unfortunately the ONE day we stayed was an awful experience. Our room was the best they had to offer and it was a joke; lit by six lamps the room was dark, and had the other lights on switches worked I doubt they would have helped as they made up a grand total of three completely excluding the living room/jacuzzi tub room. The bed was the worst I have ever slept on and, like most things here, look and felt like it hadn’t been replaced in 10+ years. The icing on the cake was when the water to the hotel was shut off without notice to any guests. My wife was in the shower with shampoo in her hair when this happened. What was the response from management you ask? Well, they have yet to contact me, even though a complaint has been made with cooperate and I have been assured that this would all be taken care of. I did get an initial response from the gentleman at the front counter though; The following was that response, “We had to shut it off (the water) and we are not sure when it will be back on, is that going to be a problem?” I would recommend driving the short distance to Salem instead of staying here. We got a nicer room with more amenities, at a lower rate, on a Saturday then at this poorly run Best Western. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We checked out, my wife’s hair still covered in shampoo, and walked out without even an apology from the staff. $177 a night for hard beds, poor lighting, towels with holes, no water pressure and horrific customer service......
