Riverside Inn Dallas — Hotel in Dallas

Before booking the room through Expedia, I called Riverside Inn and Suites to see if they approved cats. The woman I was speaking to on the phone said they did. A 5 hour car ride later I was told by the man at the front desk he did not know who I spoke to, but they did not accept pets. I told him I spoke to a woman earlier and she said they did. A woman from the backroom emerged and she said it would have been her that I spoke with. She said she never said that accepted pets. At that point, I said okay, the cats could stay in the cage for a few hours during the night before I leave in my vehicle. I then asked, did he have a bathroom or small room so I could let them out and use the litter box, since I had been driving for 5 hours. He stated no and suggested to let them out in the yard. I said, no they would run away. He then told me there was a store up the street that was open 24/7 and had restrooms I could use there. I said okay, then asked for my room key. He said go take care of my cats then come back to check-in. He said if the cats are caught in my room then it is a $20 fine. I said okay. After returning about 15 minutes later he said after he spoke to his supervisor "Aunt" that they canceled my reservation through Expedia. I then proceeded to call Expedia to verify he did cancel the room and did not charge me. I asked for my reservation paperwork, however denied giving it to me and wrote down the reservation number. Then he left me by myself to talk to Expedia and they said the reservation number was incorrect. After talking to Expedia, they did verify the motel did not charge me and found me another hotel that accepted cats. The total experience here was off putting. They are rude and nasty. After talking to the Expedia representative I learned they were the cheapest establishment around; but staying here is not worth it. This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. When we got there, we found blood on the trim and walls of the bathroom. I informed the clerk who sent a man to come clean it up. He brought a gallon of bleach and rubbing alcohol and proceeded to clean the blood with undiluted bleach and alcohol (this mixture creates chloroform, a toxic gas) I informed him that my wife was 8 months pregnant and can't be exposefd to those chemicals to which he replied "If it bothers you, you can go take a walk." We got back an hour later and noticed even more blood on the towel rack. I let them know that it was unacceptable and I would like to switch rooms. I showed them pictures of the blood and they insinuated that I was responsible. The clerk told me he would give me a refund and asked me to leave the hotel. Not only was there blood, there were also boogers on the walls, the mattress was brown (originally white) and the whole place was in disarray. All I wanted was a different room and instead got a cavalier attitude, a chemical headache and a swift kick out the door. The clerk was very unprofessional and was swearing at us. I have yet to recieve a refund and am about ready to file a lawsuit. Do not give these crooked...

!!!!BEWARE!!!! BED BUGS!!!! Seriously worst service and room quality in Oregon and possibly the world, ive been to 30+ countries trust me. 1st time i stayed there the room was disgusting and had to check out because they had bed bugs, cost about $3000 to get them out of yiur home when you bring them home from places like that, cockroaches running around and spiders in the room. Sheets look like someone was murdered or had their period on them no joke it was disgusting. Second time i was in town and no other rooms were in available in my price range and since they were close to my families home thought id give them another chance. Worse than 1st time. Booked the room drove down from Portland and they said they had no rooms available seriously said "well hope u get ur money back from the website" and slammed the window in my face. Apparently this is the hotel for tweakers and prostitutes as i heard from Multiple locals after i went to the bar to cool off i was so mad. If u have a family stay away!!!
