We stayed at Springhill Suites for a quick overnight to attend a local event the next day. The afternoon forecast was for tornadoes so we called the hotel and asked for an early check-in time so we could be off the road and indoors. The request was granted - no problem. We needed an ADA room for a family member recently disabled and in a wheelchair. We were given a room on the 5th floor. If the power had gone out and use of the elevator was unavailable that would have been a problem. That never happened. The room itself was great. It was right near the elevator so no long trips down the hallway. The room # was marked with the traditional blue wheelchair logo. Our room had 2 queen beds, a sleeper couch and a trundle that pulled out. The couch turned out great for our family member is a wheelchair. It was lower than the queen beds so easier to get in and out of. from a wheelchair. The pillows came off easily and there was no need to pull out the bed. (The trundle was easy enough to pull out but we didn't use it. The bathroom had really great ADA access. Lots of room to move a wheelchair around, and sink and amenities at accessible heights. The shower had 5 different grab bars, a moveable bench, moveable sprayer with holster, shampoo, conditioner & body wash at reachable height in pump bottles usable with one hand. Large sliding door with no handle or lock so easy to get in and out of the bathroom. The only tricky part was there was an unassuming lip to go over the threshold into the bathroom. It didn't look like much but was challenging to push a wheelchair over. It was manageable, just difficult with a wheelchair and I imagine a walker would get stuck as well. Overall, the room worked great. We were able to take our 22-yr-old daughter in a wheelchair, our 14-yr-old son, and my husband & I, and all stay in the same...
Read moreWe stayed here over a year ago never realized I never posted a review till now but anyway, it was our first family vacation several states away from home, we decided to stay here to and from our destination, let me tell you as a mom I thoroughly do my research before booking a hotel, I look at ratings, amenities, pictures taken by guest, reviews everything before booking and I highly recommend this hotel, not only is it clean, the staff was so nice, I understand everyone’s experience is different but also understand that things happen out of our control. My experience was great, great staff, we were greeted coming in, on our way back home the manager asked my kids in what floor we wanted to stay, I don’t understand some of the mixed reviews because the barn door wasn’t an issue with us, they were able to fit my husband and I and our 4 children in a suite just fine with plenty of space, we didn’t have any technical issues either, the pool was kid friendly, not too deep where my older kids (11,10, 8) were able to go by themselves to the deeper side without an issue, the breakfast was different that Monday and Friday we where there both delicious, great location. We loved it, my kids still talk about it after a year later and we are planning our next trip at the beginning of next year and will definitely be back to this...
Read moreHello SpringHill Suites I just spoke to one of your employees by the name of Johnnie T. We explained to Johnnie that we needed to cancel our reservations later this month due to the hospital canceling our appointment. We had ask for a refund and Johnnie denied the request. We then try to reschedule for a later date but was being charged extra. Johnnie hung up the phone with my wife. I then called back and Johnnie put me on hold. She then picks up and i asked to speak to a supervisor. Johnnie said "Exuse me" in a manipulative and condescending tone. I explained to Johnnie we needed to speak to her supervisor and i could her Johnnie laughing over the phone. I asked Johnnie "whats so funny" "this is a serious matter". Johnnie then accuses me of yelling at her and says "i have customer in front of me". Johnnie then proceeds to put me on hold. Johnnie refused to give me her last name and also refused to give me her supervisors name and contact information. This is frustrating and upsetting that Johnnie works in Hospitality but was not very hospital. She was rude, ill-mannered, and disrespectful. Please i ask that you treat your customers with the upmost respect. We work hard for our money to stay at places like yours. This event is unfortunate and I will choose to go elsewhere from...
