We stayed at Springhill Suites for a quick overnight to attend a local event the next day. The afternoon forecast was for tornadoes so we called the hotel and asked for an early check-in time so we could be off the road and indoors. The request was granted - no problem. We needed an ADA room for a family member recently disabled and in a wheelchair. We were given a room on the 5th floor. If the power had gone out and use of the elevator was unavailable that would have been a problem. That never happened. The room itself was great. It was right near the elevator so no long trips down the hallway. The room # was marked with the traditional blue wheelchair logo. Our room had 2 queen beds, a sleeper couch and a trundle that pulled out. The couch turned out great for our family member is a wheelchair. It was lower than the queen beds so easier to get in and out of. from a wheelchair. The pillows came off easily and there was no need to pull out the bed. (The trundle was easy enough to pull out but we didn't use it. The bathroom had really great ADA access. Lots of room to move a wheelchair around, and sink and amenities at accessible heights. The shower had 5 different grab bars, a moveable bench, moveable sprayer with holster, shampoo, conditioner & body wash at reachable height in pump bottles usable with one hand. Large sliding door with no handle or lock so easy to get in and out of the bathroom. The only tricky part was there was an unassuming lip to go over the threshold into the bathroom. It didn't look like much but was challenging to push a wheelchair over. It was manageable, just difficult with a wheelchair and I imagine a walker would get stuck as well. Overall, the room worked great. We were able to take our 22-yr-old daughter in a wheelchair, our 14-yr-old son, and my husband & I, and all stay in the same...

We stayed here over a year ago never realized I never posted a review till now but anyway, it was our first family vacation several states away from home, we decided to stay here to and from our destination, let me tell you as a mom I thoroughly do my research before booking a hotel, I look at ratings, amenities, pictures taken by guest, reviews everything before booking and I highly recommend this hotel, not only is it clean, the staff was so nice, I understand everyone’s experience is different but also understand that things happen out of our control. My experience was great, great staff, we were greeted coming in, on our way back home the manager asked my kids in what floor we wanted to stay, I don’t understand some of the mixed reviews because the barn door wasn’t an issue with us, they were able to fit my husband and I and our 4 children in a suite just fine with plenty of space, we didn’t have any technical issues either, the pool was kid friendly, not too deep where my older kids (11,10, 8) were able to go by themselves to the deeper side without an issue, the breakfast was different that Monday and Friday we where there both delicious, great location. We loved it, my kids still talk about it after a year later and we are planning our next trip at the beginning of next year and will definitely be back to this...

Hello SpringHill Suites I just spoke to one of your employees by the name of Johnnie T. We explained to Johnnie that we needed to cancel our reservations later this month due to the hospital canceling our appointment. We had ask for a refund and Johnnie denied the request. We then try to reschedule for a later date but was being charged extra. Johnnie hung up the phone with my wife. I then called back and Johnnie put me on hold. She then picks up and i asked to speak to a supervisor. Johnnie said "Exuse me" in a manipulative and condescending tone. I explained to Johnnie we needed to speak to her supervisor and i could her Johnnie laughing over the phone. I asked Johnnie "whats so funny" "this is a serious matter". Johnnie then accuses me of yelling at her and says "i have customer in front of me". Johnnie then proceeds to put me on hold. Johnnie refused to give me her last name and also refused to give me her supervisors name and contact information. This is frustrating and upsetting that Johnnie works in Hospitality but was not very hospital. She was rude, ill-mannered, and disrespectful. Please i ask that you treat your customers with the upmost respect. We work hard for our money to stay at places like yours. This event is unfortunate and I will choose to go elsewhere from...

This was a pretty nice hotel. They have pretty good shades that block out most all of the light which i like. They had a nice fireplace at night to hang out by. The pool was really nice not too dirty, and the temperature was perfect. The breakfast was pretty good for a free one, they sometimes had ham egg and cheese croissant, eggs, sausage and bacon (only 3 at a time). They had waffles, yogurts and cereal and oatmeal. Oh there were some toast bagels and muffins too. I tried to use the mobile key for my room but for some reason it took 2 days to get on my phone which was kind of annoying. The rooms are setup a bit weird with the bathroom right in front of the bed and the tv off to the side. Luckily they put an articulating mount on the tv so that it can be pulled off the wall. I dunno if it's just my luck or what, but the dang channel guide didn't work again. All it displayed was the name of the channel. Minor annoyance. Overall a really solid hotel with friendly staff.

Had a great stay at SpringhHill Suites. From the check-in to check-out 07/04 to 07/11/21. The hotel is clean and staff is professional. The rooms are spacious with good amenities. The breakfast is a plus and good but repeat and we were there for a week. From the front desk staff Yvette(my favorite"pretty hand") and Matthew, Darlean, Mayeli, Valerie to the Managers. The breakfast crew was on top of everything and keep thing clean and organized. The housekeeping staff was on top of everything and always working hard thanks from room 308? The amenities at the hotel from pool to workout facility was clean and maintained. The pool guy cleaned the pool every morning and deserves a shout-out. When back in Texas from Philly I will choose SpringHill Suites Richardson University area.

Came to Plano to visit our son, and were looking for a new hotel to stay after being repeatedly disappointed by our stays at the Doubletree on Campbell and US 75. WOW, have we found a jewel!!!! The SpringHill SUITES is a combination of friendliness, efficiency, cleanliness and TOP SERVICE from the check-in clerk, to the daily maid service to the breakfast prep personnel to the fantastic bartenders. Elaina and Jay made every HAPPY HOUR even happier with their creative cocktails and tasty small bites. The rooms are especially spacious and have the sense of being brand new! The bathroom with large shower is so thoughtfully designed. Definitely this will be our go-to hotel in the Richardson / Plano area!!
