It's been a while since my wife and I ate at a Taco Cabana, but we like them, and so we chose Taco Cabana when getting a late lunch after our daughter went in for surgery. (You can't wait in a waiting room these days?!?) Well, the menu has changed, and we didn't know that the "combo" didn't ADD the chips, queso, and drink to the "plate." They are completely different, and the combo does NOT come with rice and beans. When our food is delivered without rice and beans my wife accepted it, but I did not. The manager took care of us and gave both of us a plate with plenty of rice and beans. (Sure, I know that is about the least expensive items ANYWHERE, but he took care of us.) Then I took a bite of my chicken fajita taco. TWICE as much meat as I am used to getting. They were fantastic! My wife also shared one of her hard tacos with me, and it was tasty, as well. Other than hardly being able to read the "fine print" on the menu board that explained the differences between a plate and a combo, I deeply regret that they still don't have their salsa bar open. The manager did give me plenty of jalapenos, but I missed the cilantro, pico de gallo, and variety of hot sauces. All in all it was very tasty, plentiful portions, and the manager took care of us when we felt we had an issue. I would have gone back for dinner, but we didn't get away from the hospital until...
Read moreI visited this location to get breakfast for my staff. I ordered the dozen of tacos deal, but started to ask (as I usually do) if I could change some of tacos. I say that I started to because as soon as I began talking the lady cut me off stating, "if you want to customize it that will be 20 minutes." So, I said nevermind and would stick with the original variety, then she rushed to the total without asking if I wanted anything else. So, I stated that I wanted to add something. At this point, there are no cars in the parking lot or in the drive thru line. At the window, I politely asked if I could swap just three of the tacos to which she replied, "Maam, we only have one person working in the morning, so you would have to wait as I already told you!" I replied with "it was just a question, how was I to know about your restaurant's staffing as a customer!" She stated that I should have watched the news, as it was all over the news! She continued ranting and when I told her there was no need for an attitude, she was shocked stating that she did not have an attitude! So, clearly the customer service is poor. I understand being upset about things at work, but the customers should never bear the brunt of your frustration! So, I truly hope that the staffing issue at this location is addressed for the staff and the...
Read moreMy fist time at this location, I have been a customer of Taco casa for more then 20 yrs never had this experience, everything was fine until I decided to order the cashier was distracted by a boy in the back talking to her and by her checking her phone I clearly ask her for a half of pound of beef fajitas with rice beans and an extra order of tortillas and a small chicken tortilla soup with a coffee and a drink in the side when I got my order they gave me a 3 taco plate with a order of tortillas!!!! I went and talked to the manager I believe she was nice she charged me for the right order and gave me a discount. In the other hand the other staff was just giving me the stinky eye.. like if it was my fault I got the wrong order I had originally order a small chicken that was given to me with out tortilla so I went and ask a white kid if I could have the tortilla chips that came with the soup and he looked really confused and didn’t know what was I talking about so I asked him for salsa fuego he gave me a different salsa and throwed it on the counter and I explained about the soup and he just pointed at the mama Guam’s told me to talk to her the manager was busy at the time so I walked away really upset after that experience I’ll never come back here and I won’t recommend this...
