I've been in customer service and operations for 40yrs and even had the opportunity to attend Disney's customer service for executives, I've been to some of the the top business schools, Harvard, Kenan-Flagler UNC, so I know a thing or two about a thing or two.
My visit was 10-13 June 2021. Let's start with the check in, it was horrible 8 stations and only two open although one station had three people there for about 10 minutes as the line wrapped around and got longer. Front desk staff (the one I had, are not customer friendly to men) The desk clerk wasn't helpful and didn't say much to my questions, but he had a lot to say when he was talking to his female coworkers. The check in should be the best experience when a guest arrives, it was my worst ever. These rooms are overpriced as Heck for what I paid, I could have went to Europe and back twice. The rooms had no water to drink, no stocked anything! No free valet $25 a day and another $25 each time you get your car, out which made me reconsider using Valet and use the free garage to which I discuss later. The locks on the bathroom doors fell apart. No microwaves in a suite you would expect a microwave and a stocked fridge and bar. No Glasses to drink from, I guess since they don't put drinks in the room you don't need glasses. The food is good, but extremely high priced. How are you going to hold $500 for incidentals when there is nothing in the room? Drinks are crazy expensive, go to the liquor store and get your own.
Drinks are crazy expensive, go to the liquor store and get your own. No cups, no utensils, even though I called to get some delivered, they said about 30 minutes, which I thought was cool, when I left they still didn't bring any cups glasses etc.. I went to publix and bought water, cups plates, flatware etc. The food is good, but extremely high priced. Drinks are crazy expensive, go to the liquor store and get your own. The nicest people were housekeeping, they smiled, remembered us and helped us out with extra pillows and sheets so my daughter and grandson could stay with us overnight.
You can stay at plenty of better places and uber over to the casino, I don't gamble, I thought it would be a fun place for my family since I would be busy all day. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! it's NOT worth it. Free parking is half a mile away in Lucky garage. I'm 100% disabled, I almost couldn't walk when I left because my ankles and knees were so swollen, my back was in pain from walking back and forth to the garage. There are no parking for Guest that are staying there.
The positives; the Guitar Hotel sound and light show, we had a great balcony seat in our room to view it each night. Room service is pretty fast, but it is expensive. I could barely walk the last night, so we ordered in. (150303799 Nicole at the Hard Rock Café was wonderful! The food is good, but extremely high priced.
You can't complain to anyone because no one is around that is willing to or can help unless you're a "High Roller" is what I was told when I did ask, I said ok? Another employee told me "if I gamble a lot and spend a lot of money they will comp me" I don't gamble and I paid a ton for my room, it's okay, I will put it all in a review which I have now shared, because I wrote it all down as soon as the the poor check in experience check in began. I do not mind spending the money, but it has to be worth it. A week in Vegas at a top tier hotel would be cheaper and have more amenities and better service. This review is based on my bad experience, just don't get your hopes up by the pictures on...
Read moreI read the reviews and I always take t hem with a grain of salt. I am telling you, pay attention in this case. I am an experienced traveler and I stay at nice places. The hotel is beautiful no doubt and it looks like it would be heaven to stay there, the casino has all the best games and the rooms are luxurious. The outside pool areas amazing. Chen in horrible, I had two back to pack reservations and had called the day before arrival to confirm them. Good luck fi ending check in. At check in I find out I only have that night and not the additional 5 nights I booked and paid for thru Expedia. No apology no explanation just sorry we are booked and you only have a room for tonight. I even had the reservation showing paid and confirmed. They did not care and really did not want to look into how that could of happened. Yes I talked to a surly I don't give a crap manager. I ended up getting a res somewhere else for the additional days. I got my money back from Expedia who could not figure out how this happened. This was expensive for 5 nights $2600. Room not ready till 9pm. I get tot he room, its nice and I am mad and very tired. I call down for my bags. After calling 5 times and its now 12 midnight I sleep in my dirty travel clothes with no toiletries nothing. The bags show up the next morning at 10am. Check out is at 11am. No they will not extend check out, no they do not care or know why my bags were never delivered. I go down to eat, after sitting for 20 min I place my order. Another 45 min. no food, talk to manager, oh order was lost? Food finally arrives 1 hr 15 min after I sat down. Its expensive and very average eggs benny. By this time I can't wait to get out of there. I go to bell desk to get my bags, wait, wait, wait finally someone actually shows up to man the bell desk and brings them. I am at the far end of this huge casino by the bell desk so I ask where can I get a taxi. There are no signs. They do not know they do not care. I am alone, 60 yrs old now dragging my 2 large heavy bags thru the Casino to find where I was dropped off the night before hoping that is where I can get a taxi. Lucky for me someone was just being dropped off and I snag it. No bellman, no help no nothing. I had stayed the week before at the Bellagio in Vegas, now that's a 5 star hotel that runs like silk, Did I mention I am a top tier Nior player at MGM, I gamble, a lot, just never at this hard rock. This was my first stay, I will never stay there or gamble at any...
Read moreMy husband and I just stayed at the Oasis Tower. We stayed one night because we had tickets to see the Steve Martin and Martin Short comedy show and didn’t want to drive back to Miami after the show. I will start off with the pros. The hotel is beautiful. It is has a modern design and decor. The room was spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfy as you would expect when you pay over $500 for the night. Now for the cons. Checkin is at 4:00 p.m. We arrived at around 4:20 p.m., initiated the checkin process and was told that our room wasn’t ready and if we wanted we could leave our bags with the bellmen. Just like that. My husband and I were dumbfounded. So my husband asked when the room would be ready and the young guy said he didn’t know! When my husband responded that it was unacceptable for them not to have a room ready, the guy said that “checkin STARTED at 4:00 p.m.” He was trying to insinuate that the cleaning started at 4:00 p.m. at the point, we asked to speak to a manager. Ten minutes later both the manager and the front desk attendant appeared. The manager simply asked what the problem was. We explained what had happened and he said that he would get us a room. He was very dry. Never did anyone apologize for the inconvenience. And the attitude given by both of them was very uncomfortable. We would have totally understood if from the get go, we were told that there weren’t any rooms and that they were sorry, etc. But not once did we hear that. Then to top the night off, when we got back to our room around 12:30 a.m., I opened the mini fridge to get some water and NOTHING! There was absolutely nothing in the fridge. So I called for some water, a lady told me that it would take 15-30 minutes. I was falling asleep but waited the 20 minutes and nothing!!!! So I called again and was told that my order wasn’t processed!!! So there I was again ordering water. When I finally get the water, I was charged $37 for 3 Fiji one liter bottles! Never did the lady tell me that - hey, by the way, you are ordering 3 liters of water. I originally asked for two and she made me feel like I was bothering her because I was only ordering the two bottles. Bottom line is that it isn’t worth paying over $500 for such poor quality service. On an end note, the shower has some type of slope defect that when the water is turned on the entire floor...
