After eating here again for the 2nd time this is my review. The first time was March 2020 and the second time was Christmas 2020. It gave me a chance to deliver a better sense of judgement.
Pros: -The Wagyu Steaks and normal steaks (not dry aged) were wonderful. Delicious, flavorful, and tender. The best steaks here are the ones that are not dry aged. -The bread was warm and flaky. -The Russian caviar was elegant and wonderful. Considering I’m Russian and my entire family and I grew up eating this, I give this a big thumbs up. -All of the cocktails and wine served was of an adequate portion and mixed very well. -The escargot was out of this world. Flavorful, tender, and a great start to any meal.
Cons: -I have learned to stay away from the dry aged steaks here. They were bland and posses little to no flavor. Perhaps it is just how they do it here, but everywhere else I do not encounter the same issues regarding dry aged steaks. This is why on my second visit, I ordered a normal steak for comparison. -The server for my first visit in March 2020 was wonderful. Attentive, caring, polite, and had manners that really did set a expectation for me personally as well as a standard that all servers should follow. My server last night failed to do the same. Out of everyone at my table, this server failed to keep drinks filled up/topped off, only responded with words such as “yeah” or “okay” rather than yes sir, yes ma’am. Also, he only conversed with one member of the table for the whole order and failed to make eye contact with anyone. Considering the bill was close to $1,000, it would be fair to say that anyone should have high expectations for service at this price point. -The Brussels sprouts were too charred and almost burnt to a crisp. -The lobster tail was too charred as well. As a result, it was overcooked and a bit rubbery. The butter and lemon that went with it did not help with flavor, it was still bland.
Overall, to the kitchen, I’m impressed. 4/5 stars. Ticket times were low considering the wait for food wasn’t that long for a packed house. Just the preparation in food lacked slightly.
Regarding the front of house service, 2/5 the consistency of server etiquette was severely disappointing.
Be prepared to spend a decent amount of money here. If the service or food is not up to your standards, please mention something as it is only fair considering what you are about to pay as a customer. This is based off of my...
Read moreThere are so many things I could say but I’d be here writing a novel. Let’s just say I’ve attended your restaurant many many times and never a complaint. My reviews are quite different than others because I like to pin point ALL the positives. Let’s start with the food which is always amazing no matter what you eat starting from your home baked bread and appetizers to dessert. Now your staff from front desk hosts and bus boys as well as waiters and waitresses are always on point and excellent service like no other. Not a complaint at all. I’ve been to many restaurants and must say that certain individuals stand out. I don’t always remember the names but this one particular young lady stood out that it was impossible to not write this review and because of her I 2 weeks later still have the impression of my dining experience with my friend and his wife. So there were three of us and they’ve not stop raving about it but getting back to this wonderful special young lady by the name Amira. Omgosh, so many again positive things to say! I don’t know how long she’s actually worked there but she deserves a promotion. Why? I’ll explain briefly. I’m 39 in heart lol but a bit older than that lol, but she says us down and was so pleasurable, sweet, kind and went exceptionally out of her way to every time she passed by from seating others that she continuously asked if we were ok and if everything was good. I’m sorry but that goes along way with me with all my elaborate dining experiences. She is a diamond in the ruff. So overall on a scale of 1-10 I rate my dining experience as an 11 because Amira pushed it over a 10. So I believe you’re very lucky to have a great staff and to have Amira as well. I had to ask her name because how resilient she was and how much better she made us all feel. So I don’t know if she’ll ever see this and I could only pray she does and all your staff at that. I’m known a bit in the Hard Rock so I’m not afraid to leave my name which happens to be Jeff aka Moe Sosna. I wish you all continued success. Great amazing job Amira and don’t stop being you because you’re extremely special as you’ve already shown. Until my next dining at Council...
Read moreI ordered the special. included blue cheese on one sirloin snd crab meat on second sirloin med rare. A friend ordered the same med well. My friend did not want the blue cheese and requested it not be included. The waiter was ok with the order then about 45 mins later... the waiter came back to the table and stated that the chef would not omit and asked it were ok. My friend gave the ok to the waiter and stated would scrape it off. Apparently the order was already completed as the waiter returned under a minute later with the meal. Feel we were lied to and the order was in error given the fact the order was already prepared before he told us. My spouse ordered chicken with bone removed as an exception. The chef had no problem there. My friends spouse ordered linguini and clam sauce, no problem there. Anyway for a 70 dollar alacart dish, my steak had just over 2 square inches that were med rare. The rest of the steak were unevenly cooked, and so too was my friends. Presentation: my dish looked like it was dropped and re-placed on the dish. Taste: the toppings were too much and over powered the steak instead of complimenting it and way too much salt used. The steak may have been more tender if cooked properly. I too had to remove the blue cheese. I generously provided a review of 3 star as I rounded up from 2.6. I cant say I would return for steak at this restaurant as the quality was something expect at a commercial chain such as Outback. Also utensils were bent and spotted. There were other reasons but my review is getting too long. In short for the price I was expecting a professional chef to cook better than me. Unfortunately that was not...
