Super 8 by Wyndham Deadwood/Black Hills Area — Hotel in Deadwood

I'm going to leave a very honest review stayed here from Dec 22 to Dec 25th two rooms Check in was good for my room AC was on it was ice cold in room then the lights all had to be manually turned on or plugged in Room smelt like old basement room chairs where so weak and wobbly that you don't dare sit on them No channel guide for TV The third and final night not alot open Dec24th we ordered pizza asked front desk if he had or could get plates out of breakfast area gave us a no not just no om sorry like we where a burden then my adult son said ok thanks for nothing noticeing the tone the guy used he guy chased him down hallway being rude and saying if I go into casino I could lose my license the guy was just being lazy no asked him to go to casino thr breakfast area I will say crystal went all out and Shannon was great the house keepers where great nice and friendly I was disappointed being a Wyndham member and staying at Wyndham im shocked when the breakfast Was not a brand standard Wyndham breakfast I was very disappointed with that and didn't mention it tell me that until aday before my arrival so it was to late to cancel I will look else where before staying again but I would stay...

When we checked in, we were very happy with the size of the room wasn’t crowded, but we looked into the refrigerator and it was full of ice in the freezer compartment, couldn’t even get the freezer compartment shut. The water took forever to drain down the sink and the bathtub so that left scum all over both of them. The TV we had in the room kept shutting down and saying could not connect to the Internet. We contacted the front desk that came and checked it out. One of the women out the front desk came up and did all kinds of things to try to make it work better. She couldn’t get it to work right so she said she was gonna call their Internet service and have them check it out. She evidently didn’t work Any more days when we were there so the other lady at the front desk came and checked it out and when she was here she it wouldn’t do it. It’s been a little bit so she changed the HDMI and told us not to touch that button and we said we didn’t touch that button. Stayed here at the end of July after reading positive reviews and am very glad we did. Not fancy but very nice and clean and the staff couldn't have been better, took care of every need we had and answered every question with a smile. Our daughter loved the pool and fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast and my wife and I loved the casino in the motel and we actually even won at it. Liked the fact it is about a mile from town and all the noise and it is a nice little walk to town on the Mickleson Trail or the trolley will pick up and deliver you right to the front door of the motel. Only thing that would have made the stay better is if we would have had a room on the creek side of the motel so we could listen to it at night, will have to remember to ask for that next time. We even decided to stay and extra night and they had to move us to another room but the staff took care of that for us while we were gone to town and when we got back everything had been moved to our new room and was waiting for us.This Super 8 is several notches above all of the other Super 8 motels I...
