Family Dollar — Local services in Deadwood

I got a 10.00 ( family dollar)gift card from work. Tried to use it but the clerk told me the magnetic stripe was defective. He called customer service & verified the card did indeed have a 10.00 balance on it but refused to either accept the gift card or replace it. Told me to go home & phone customer service myself, which I did. Family dollar customer service person told me that it was the STORE CLERKS RESPONSIBILITY to replace the defective card with a new one & then allow me to use the new card as payment .needless to say I will never shop here again.every time I've tried to shop here I've had issues with very rude staff, very poor selection due to shelves being out of most items & questionable cleanliness of the store. I had my experience going in to this place of business this evening. Unexpectedly as all children do we had an emergency and my five year old sonson needed to use the bathroom. While looking for a bathroom, I went to the front counter and placed my merchandise on top of the counter, and asked if there was a restroom that my son could use. Thomas informed me there was no bathroom so my five-year-old son had to hold it while I had to quickly make my purchase and get outside so he could use the bathroom. This store is looking so much better than just a couple months ago. The floor is not littered with merchandise and the shelves are getting more organized. The floors are mopped and cleaned. The one thing that needs work is The area in front off the building in the parking lot. All that is needed is a butt can. And get an employee just for sweeping or raking the leaves and trash.
