Update 8/2024 , I am thrilled to continue my recommendation, I’ve never been let down! Since moving to the Black Hills in 2007 I’ve learned that if I want prompt personal,, professional and quality eye care, I will only go to Deadwood Eye Care. Beginning with simply needing reading glasses and then progressing to Cataracts in both eyes I’ve depended upon Deadwood Eye Care to refer my care to the proper surgeon then help correct my sight afterwards. Over the years since Cataracts I’ve required frequent corrective lenses and I’ve not only received the correct lenses, I’ve been treated with respect and courtesy. My absolute favorite Optometrist is Dr. Elaine Petry . Dr. Elaine Petry has listened to every concern I’ve expressed and immediately referred me for an additional laser treatment that was required to further improve my sight and I’m thrilled with her responsive and positive attitude. My family and I have been going to Deadwood Eye Care Center for over 20 years, and I can’t recommend them enough! They’ve always gone above and beyond to help, whether it’s giving me sample contacts or solution while I wait for mine to arrive, or just making sure we’re well taken care of.

Today was another great example—I stopped in to pick up contacts and mentioned to the front desk that my eye had been hurting. Instead of just sending me on my way, they had Dr. David take a quick look right in between his other appointments. He did what he could, and by the time I left, my eye felt better—and it hasn’t hurt since! And they did all of that for me at no charge.

The kindness, professionalism, and genuine care from Dr. David and the entire team is unmatched. I’m so grateful for everything they do and will continue to highly recommend Deadwood Eye Care Center to anyone...

O... M... G... I cannot say enough great about my experience here!! I came here after my brand new glasses I bought in Kansas (for lots of money) fell and BOTH lenses fell out! I'm travelling and have no jewelers tools with me, so I went in here and asked for help. Sorry I forgot her name, but an awesome lady put the lenses back in, replaced to so-so nose pads with a single pad that feels great, and then adjusted the ear pads perfectly for me. Then not only did not charge me but refused my off to pay something for the work. Only took about 5 minutes and my glasses are the best fit I have had for any glasses for years! Great people.
