I stayed here for a staycation on a beautiful fall weekend. Nate and Jessica are dream hosts: They were very communicative before my stay and the check-in and arrival process was smooth and easy. I also enjoyed getting to know each of them, and they had this uncanny ability to always seem to be around and available for a question or story about the property, but also not intrusive at all. Nate's stories about his family (he's a 5th generation Denverite) were fascinating and I was so glad to share a cup of coffee with him Saturday morning. Here are some details about my stay that really stood out: The shower. OMG. I'm not telling you how long of a shower I took because I don't want to get charged extra for the water bill haha. The shower head is a dream, and the products were luxurious. The quiet. I slept like a baby both nights. I felt safe and warm, and the thick walls of the castle made it feel like I was cocooned. The sheets. They were so soft and felt super luxurious. The historic detail. You can tell that Jessica and Nate truly love this home and cherish taking care of it. The stained glass window, the fleur-de-lis decor on the walls, and the historic furniture really stood out, but didn't feel musty or old in any way. Super refined and elegant. I will 100% be back and have already told all my friends about this special place.

I almost never leave negative reviews, but this was egregious. We stayed with our two young kids. The bedroom has a sliding barn door is "temperamental" and can fall off its tracks. Our 5-year-old got trapped. I called both hosts and was sent directly to voicemail. About 20 minutes later they finally texted back and told me to “lift the door up and it will roll to the right” When I followed that, the heavy door came off its track and crashed to the floor. It missed my child by maybe a foot. By sheer luck my daughter wasn’t killed. I should have called the police to get my kids out instead of listening to their terrible advice. I've attached screenshots as of text communication as proof. Afterward, the hosts posted an Airbnb review claiming I “berated” them and “splintered their priceless door.” The attached text messages show them being apologetic in real time until they wrote their public review. I never berated anyone, but I should have. Other issues: - Strong noise and odor from ducks in a cage or pen next to the room - Front door opens directly into a parking lot where homeless people frequently loitered - Cleanliness below basic standards Bottom line: the door is a serious hazard. The hosts were slow to respond and gave advice that nearly caused a disaster. This place is not safe for kids.

I was impressed with my entire experience staying here. The charm of staying in an authentic castle was nicely balanced with several modern amenities and thoughtful touches. The bathroom in the suite I stayed in had been updated fully, and even had a lovely rain shower with scents. It also had a sweet turret nook and beautiful antique furniture. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location was walkable to several excellent restaurants, which made it very convenient. Every detail was thought of, and the ownership was very professional, responsive and warm. Lovely stay. I will definitely go back myself and highly recommend to anyone who loves the charm of a beautiful castle combined with the comforts and conveniences of modern day life.

So, all my birthday plans fell through...I thought I’d be left with nothing! HOWEVER!!! I ended up celebrating my birthday in the amazing Marne Castle! 🏰🥳🥳🥳

Let me tell you, if you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience, this is the spot! Marne Castle isn’t just any B&B; it’s a beautiful vintage castle that literally oozes charm and history. The moment I walked through the door, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The victorian bell on the door, to the decor: with its rich hand carved wood working, stone exterior and stained glass window, gives the place an atmosphere that’s both inviting and impressive.

One of the best parts about Marne Castle is its ideal location. It’s close to all the attractions you want to explore in the city. Yet, it feels like a peaceful retreat away from the main street near by. You can enjoy the local sights during the day and then unwind on one of the many balconies the castle rooms offer.

The hospitality here is fantastic! The staff went out of their way to make my birthday celebration special. Their knowledge of the history of the building and the area surpassed my expectations.

So, if you’re thinking about a getaway or a special occasion, I highly recommend Marne Castle! It’s truly one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed in the city (and mind you I’ve lived in Colorado my WHOLE life) and it’s sure to leave you with lasting memories. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a unique experience in this incredible...
