Met owner, Matt, and about 10 other people from Green Door Fitness when they were hiking up the side of the Grand Canyon. They had just got done taking turns rowing on a rowing machine that they were now carrying up to the top! I thought “that’s crazy cool” so I asked to jump in for a for a turn carrying it out. They obliged! When we got to the top they had a surprise for me. It was my turn to row! They all cheered me on and encouraged me as I rowed 200m on the rim of the Grand Canyon! So lucky to have run into them there. One of the coolest most spontaneous things if ever done!
Fast-forward a week and some change. I’m near Denver visiting a college best friend and decide to drop in for a workout. A few of the guys happened to be there and Matt put me through a great, but killer, workout that felt tailored just for me!
Everyone I met during my experience was nice, supportive and genuinely wanted to get to know me. Super glad to have met everyone from this gym. And the next time I’m in town I’ll definitely be...
Read moreGreat gym! Went here for a year, but just moved. Came in with the goal of getting in shape for deer hunting last year. Through the help of the attentive staff and the high quality equipment I was able to get in to shape in less than 2 months. My buddy and I hauled two public land mature bucks off the mountain in one day with only sweat and grit- so success!
I kept coming after because I had so much fun. Working out with a trainer pushes you harder than working out by yourself bar none. The trainers also keep the workouts fresh and challenging. This is an excellent gym for people with aggressive fitness goals, but I saw people from all levels and abilities. The gym is physically small, so almost by necessity there is a community feel and people talking to each other. Also the staff are very good about working with you to avoid injury and I did not have a major down time during the year.

Read moreOk, so here’s the thing: If I live in Los Angeles and bought a membership to a gym in Denver, the place has gotta be legit. (I actually did this, btw. 0 regrets.) My parents live in Denver and I’ve been visiting them here and there, so when I heard about a community-based gym that always has a PT on hand whenever you walk in to work out, I knew I had to try this place out. And I am so, SO glad I did. Green Door Fitness is “that” gym, the kind that makes you feel like you’re one of their own, not just a member who pays to exercise there. I was lucky enough to train with Matt on my first day, and to say he pushed me hard would be an understatement. And I loved it. The membership options are reasonably priced, the equipment is great (try the ski machine, thank me and yell at me later) and the people are wonderful. If Cheers had a gym, this would be it. Green Door Fitness...
