The sandman was fantastic. it always is however, and associate took me there for a drink and I wasn't going to go and should have listened to my better judgment. Everything was fine however she feels like she can't leave her dog for 2 minutes and the dogs across the street but then the dog becomes a part of our conversation like it's standing there and it can't speak English and not bark. She had to muzzle her dog the bar was too crowded to bring a dog in there her dog is not trained as well as it could be. So what the fact of just wanting to get one night out without her dog becoming a part of the conversation and there is nothing else that she can talk about it wasn't a fun night. Mind you I love animals I love dogs oh my goodness I love dogs however it's not the dog it's the owner she should have had the mother for herself and left the dog at home 150 ft if that away the dog is grown it can hold itself for 8 hours at least most dogs can however I had a wonderful time I always do good to see one of the same bartenders has been there for the last 13 14 years and that was cool didn't see Eric that's okay though last time I went in to the Thin Man, Eric was playing the tuba and it was weird cuz the music was drawing me that night that was a couple years ago but Eric knows how to have fun and that's a wonderful bar and a wonderful place come up and check it out 17 th avenue between...
Read moreMy company had a picnic at Cheesman Park today; when it ended, I spent serious time trying to find the RIGHT bar to TAKE 25+ employees to for an after party type situation at a bar a friend suggested. The first hour was okay, the bartender was extremely negligent & slow, but we accepted that such a large group would be an issue & didn’t question it.
Beyond that, this bartender accused me of smoking & vaping in the bar, when I dropped the entire contents of my purse on the floor & put the back end of my vape into my mouth while I collected the remaining contents of my purse, & she accused me of breaking the rules & “screwing her entire night up” I tried to explain to her that the vape she saw was actually completely dead & couldn’t even be hit, & she screamed at me to exit the bar. Telling me I was not welcome. So I expressed to my 25 colleagues, that this bar was no longer worth our patronage. & she chased me out of the bar screaming about her tip percentage.
That’s fine. I will legit never come here again, & my company that she chose to disrespect, has 300 employees, all living in a...
Read moreThe bar itself is a great vibe, super chill, lovely outdoor space. But we came in around 10:30 pm and I have never felt such hatred and annoyance from bartenders in my life. I was drinking n/a, tipped $6 on $20, it was early into the night, and the bar wasn’t busy- was able to sit at the bar tip with friends. The bartenders did not say any sort of “hello” “welcome in” “how are you folks tonight” or even a friendly “ we will be with you soon” they were stoic, extremely passive aggressive, clearly ignoring most of the guest, and made myself, and the other patrons uncomfortable, like we shouldn’t even be there. Perhaps if you hate the job so much, or the customers you should try a different line of hospitality. I could understand if it was 1am, after being slammed on a Saturday, being a little drained or done with the shift, but at the 10:30? Wild to me. Hopefully it was bad night and perhaps they were going through something but if so don’t take it out on the people helping...
