JZ Motel & Suites — Hotel in Detroit

Good evening I have a question to the managers of JZ suites on East 8 mile. I went to this motel to get a room because our power went out and I’m on oxygen and a cpap machine I called before I came and was told the queen size was 60 and the king size was 70 dollars, I come to the place it was me and my son and grand babies 6,11,13 and I was told I had to pay 10 dollars per child plus a 25 key deposit I’m not understanding what kind of mess this is; and then I asked for the managers name to speak to in the morning he told me no and continued to argue after I said ok I’ll take this up with a manager in the Morning: quote unquote I’m not obligated to tell you that I said well I’ll be back in the morning and he still was talking negative so I asked him what’s his name while it was other customers going to the front desk he still getting smart this was a brother with short curly hair Carmel complexion with tats on each forearm since I couldn’t get a name maybe the manager will know exactly who I’m speaking on. Poor service and very poor judgement of how to handle business I don’t discredit this motel but what he was trying to pull you can go to the hawthorn suites on 12 1/2 for that price with a Frigidaire, stove, dishwasher it has a bedroom it’s beautiful like an apt then it’s stays inn or the Baymont. All beautiful treat people with respect your not paying no 10 per child it has a swimming pool outside a kitchen that feeds you hot breakfast from 6 to 9 and also does dinner on Wednesday this is what you go through trying to support Detroit motels back to 12 I’m going. SO WATCH YOUR STEP. THE SHEETS WERE STAINED WITH COLORS. THE SMALLEST BARS OF SOAP I'VE EVER SEEN. THE TOILET WAS VERY LOUD AND LEAKED WATER.I DIDNT SEE A BUG BUT ITCHED ALL NIGHT. I HAD TO PAY FOR AN ICE BUCKET. THE CARPETING WAS MOIST AND MUCKY. THE NEXT MORNING ON FATHERS DAY, THE DOOR WAS OPENING AND I YELLED HEY,HEY. THE HOUSEKEEPER PROCEEDED TO TO ENTER THE ROOM AS I YELLED HEY AND I WAS SITTING THERE NAKED. I CALLED FRONT DESK AND THEY SAID SOMEONE HAD JUST RETURNED THE KEY FOR THAT ROOM BUT WE ONLY HAD 1 KEY. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER WHO YELLED AND SAID ALL I CAN SAY IS SORRY AND HUNG UP IN MY FACE! I'LL NEVER RETURN THERE. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL NEVER GO THERE AND WHOEVER READS THIS SHOULD NEVER EVER GO THERE.THEY ARE RUDE, FILTHY AND HAVE NO HOSPITALITY! I'M GOING TO WRITE MY STATEMENT ,COPY IT AND POST IT AT ALDI , DUNKIN DONUTS, LITTLE CAESARS, MILAN DOLLAR STORE,BURGER KING, DOLLAR GENERAL, AND ALL THROUGH MY COMMUNITY SO THAT PEOPLE WILL BE AWARE OF WHAT SERVICE THEY'LL RECEIVE IF THEY GO TO THIS PLACE. I frequently visit my family member who stays there frequently due to plumbing and heating problems but since they only have a few weeks to wait to move in their house I’m going to urge the family to check out asap due to the shooting that took place. The rooms are decent and they up keep the place from what I have seen but I treasure my family and worry for their safety now. Sometimes I will stay in the room with my uncle if my aunt has to stay out late so he is not alone and due to his health problems to make sure his heart monitor is functioning properly but last night someone lost their life and my uncle could have had a heart attack/failure from the stress caused by the commotion going on in the parking lot the noise is one thing and I know due bc of the location you have your people from all walks of life which is understandable but fearing for your life and the possibility from being hospitalized or even dying alone from just hearing a shooting and the loss of life just outside of your door is extremely upsetting and quite disturbing.. Prayers to the family of the victim and for the safety of the motel staff and other guest who witnessed this tragedy or were there at the time. I will say aside from the guest or ppl in the area at night with the noise and the need for more security the rooms are nice and the showers are pretty as well and my family has been fairly happy staying there. I am still going to ask they check out but it is their choice but I am very concerned should they choose to stay until they are ready to move...
