Stopped by on my lunch break and attempted to use the drive thru. I set at the menu ordering board for nearly 5 minutes with no acknowledgment. I then noticed that no one was acknowledging the other drive thur line either. I pulled ahead to the pickup window to see if I could order there. Noticed employees talking but didn’t appear to be working. Finally was acknowledged with a “we’re not able to operate right now due to having no water” while looking at the business next door that had workers with heavy equipment that did indeed appear to be working on something under ground. I suggested that they put a sign on the drive thru menu and was told they could not, that it was against company policy and they would get in trouble if they did not use a company issued sign. I then suggested since they cannot operate maybe have someone telling customers the current problem since they cannot operate. Was told they didn’t have enough staff to do that….I responded since you cannot operate surely you have someone that can inform customers. Was told they only had two employees on the clock, one of which was making a run to get more jugs of water to see if they could still operate. Young lady was nice but I don’t agree with this company policy or how they were not trying to inform customers. Instead they would allow unknowing customers to just sit and wait at the ordering menu until they got tired of waiting any longer. I suggest company policy allow temporary use of unofficially issued signs if they don’t have the staffing to...
Read moreOn March 28 I went thru the drive thru and ordered a tray with a shake. I pulled up and paid. After about 10 minutes I was handed my shake. After waiting another 10 minutes and seeing the guy that was running the window at the counter chatting with his friends I honked the horn. When he came to the window we had some words. He disappeared and then pretty much threw the food at me. I asked if he was the manager and he told me he was the acting manager. I asked for his name and he shut the window.
After getting home I took a bite from the burger and then something made me look at the sandwich. It was very apparent that he spit on my sandwich, snot and all.
I contacted Cook Out about this. They put me in contact with there insurance. I went through and told my story to them. All I wanted was the store manager to call me and discuss this. This never happened. All they cared about was that they were prepared for if I sued, they did not care about I now could of potentially caught some disease from them.
If you would like to be treated like crap and potentially catch a disease, this is definitely the restaurant for you.
tldr Drive thru person ignored me for 20 minutes, when I complained I received foot that was spit on. Contacted them and they did not care or ever have the...
Read moreI hope that all of the Cook Out restaurants are nowhere near as bad as the one in Easley is. They constantly mess up our orders. My oldest son is a vegetarian so I usually order him a couple of cheese quesadillas and the things with no meat in or on them. For some unexplainable reason they will put chicken on them. Almost always. I end up having to go back and get the cheese ones. It's a huge inconvenience and a waste of gas in the truck. There has only been 1 employee that has been friendly to me when I get back to the window after explaining the mistake at the speaker. I don't understand what the problem is. A few nights ago they changed it up a little. His 2 cheese quesadillas and my chicken one all were cheese only. We actually just laughed about that. But then he walks back into the living room and tells me I can have his cheese fries because there is meat on them. I could not believe it. It should not be that hard to get orders right. I have friends who will not go there anymore because of the orders being wrong so often. My son and I love the food plus they are reasonable on the prices. But I'm about to the point of not going back now. The manager that came to the window once when I was back for a correct order was not friendly at all. It is sad what they believe customer...
