I was shopping at Sam's and decided to pick up some Popeyes Chicken for dinner. That was a bad idea. The first thing I noticed was no prices on the menu and that made me kinda leary. I'm under the impression they can charge you what they want. I get to the window and I ordered a 12 piece family value meal and a chicken sandwich. Let me say this I have been to this location before and was pleased with my order. Well the total was $40.34 okay fine. So I get to the window and paid cash and never received a receipt. Then she told me to pull up cause it is going to take a minute to get my order ready. Let me say this I was the only customer at the location. So I pull up and wait, eventually the order comes out. I get my food and drive 21 miles to get home. when I get home I bring in my groceries and food. I start checking my order from Popeyes so it will be ready when my wife gets home from work so she can eat dinner. I got the two sides mashed potatoes/gravy and red beans and rice. I got the chicken sandwich, but when I opened the box of chicken I got 5 pieces of chicken and 6 biscuits. I was livid and I thought where are the other 7 pieces. I called their number listed on the website and it went to voicemail which sounded like somebody's personal phone. The chicken was way over cooked and hard as a dog biscuit. The rice in the red beans was hard too. They didn't cook the rice long enough. So I had to put my clothes back on and drive 21 miles back to the location in Easley SC. When I got there I had to wait in line for a minute. When I got to the window I asked to speak to the manager. Turnsout the person who took my order and screwed it up the first time was the manager. I told her that I got only 5 pieces of chicken and I ordered 12 pieces of chicken. She asked me if I have the chicken with me and I showed her the box of chicken. She kept asking me as if I was lying and I was praying that my tongue doesn't slip and let her have it. I had to remind her she didn't give me a receipt. While I waited she gave me another 12 pieces which is what I should have had to begin with. It was like she wanted the old chicken back and I had to remind her it was a Dhec violation. I get my correct order of chicken supposedly fresh and went home. This chicken was as hard or even harder than the first five pieces they gave me. I will not be returning to this location ever again. It's like most new place, they start off good and fall off real fast. I would caution anybody not to waste their money and eat at this location in Easley SC. Now I have a bunch of chicken headed straight for the garbage and I don't like wasting food. In closing Hate that Chicken from...
Read moreI really wish I could give more stars but I just can't. This is the worst service in TOWN!! And possibly surrounding. I've been here MANY times, service is always SLOW!! Employees are never adhering to the Covid 19 restrictions! Mask are worn under the chin & nose. They barely use gloves an Employee when asked to wash her hands replied she washed her hands a few mins ago. She was also going between stations. Drive through is taking money and not putting on a fresh pair of gloves when bagging food. I don't think anyone has cleaned the lobby in a while. Food is usually not fresh and I find we have to go in often to get the order xorrected. Why would I go back as much as I have? Hoping that somehow things had gotten better or someone else had complained and they fix the problem. Plus they are the only Popeyes chicken in the area! Sad shame because everyone loves Popeyes just look at how many died over the sandwiches! But no way in the world will I go out of my way to come here again. I recommend you all find a better chicken joint before you end up sick ,food poisoned or with covid 19. The city needs to send out a health inspector. This isn't right! Thanks for reading, but yall...
Read moreWe will NOT be patronizing any Popeye's in the US here on. Here's why; Stepped into a Popeye's for the first time because wanting to see what's the pull about this spicy chicken sandwich all about. Love the music they had. Ordered the food, server was courteous. All was still fine.
We proceeded to let server know we wanted all our food fixed fresh. The server (Camila, if not mistaken her name) gives this snicker and turns around to speak to another who prepped the foods.
Upon handed the food, my husband asked if it's freshly fixed which they weren't. They blatantly LIED to us in the face that it is. Not wanting to confront nor contradict them both when there are other customers waiting for their food, we took the tray.
Of course the food wasn't hot when we tried. So back the husband went to let them know these aren't fixed fresh and pls replace. So, not only had Popeye's wasted food as they had to be thrashed but they have lost our patronage. My first impression of Popeye's in the US is staff LACKS INTEGRITY. If they cant be bothered to serve us what we've asked for then I certainly cant be assured that they would be food processing and prepping as per food & health...
