This place was easily my favorite restaurant in Easley for so long! I and my family came at least once a week for a long time, but recently that has changed which saddens me so much. My last 3 visits I have been disappointed, but the last time has confirmed I will not return. My daughter-in-law, grandson and I went in for a late lunch on Saturday and the whole experience was bad. Our server was top 5 of the worst servers I've ever had. Her "greeting" was, "what you want to eat". Not a hello, how are you, what would you like to drink.... They weren't busy at all, we were 1 of 3 tables sat, with 3 servers at the time. I can understand if it was insanely busy just rushing through to try to help everyone, but still doesn't excuse rude, but I am more forgiving when it's busy. As a person in the service industry for 20+ years, I am fully capable of looking over a lot. I respond with a "Hi" and we'd like to order appetizers and drinks". We give the order, get our drinks and I ask for a sauce which I was given a sauce we already had, and not the one I asked for. So, I get up and ask for it at the window. Moving on, as we order entree's I then advise we will also be placing TWO TO GO ORDERS. I said we'd order those once our food came out. Once the entrees were delivered, I then placed the order for 2 chicken curry's, one extra rice, and chili oil. Fast forward, we eat and ask for boxes for our leftovers and when she brings the things we've asked for, we both say thank you, as one should. No response. This happened multiple times, so finally after this happening several times, I loudly tell her, "the proper response when someone says thank you is you're welcome, not that hard". I was so annoyed with her from the first interaction and the whole time that I had to say something. I am not that person. But how hard is it to say you're welcome. How hard is it to be polite and have manners? Especially in the service industry!?!?!?!? I have always been patient and understanding, and I hated even being visibly frustrated, but she was horrible. We box up, pay, then leave. We walked to another shop and start chatting about the situation and started thinking about how our boxes looked short. Meaning we didn't get all of the to-go orders we'd paid for. We check the boxes to avoid jumping to conclusion, and we discover we were shorted an order of curry chicken, the rice, and the oil. Keep in mind, by the time of our departure, we were the only table in there. How did this get messed up? I go back in, advise we didn't get everything we'd ordered to go, and it became an issue for every person working. It's not my fault the person that took my order got it wrong. I was very clear when I ordered. Now everyone has an attitude, nobody offered an apology, NOTHING. I now have to wait for the food to be made, pay again, and listen to everyone speaking in a different language and laughing. How is a person supposed to feel in this scenario? I hate that I will have to travel into Greenville to enjoy pho, but I absolutely will to avoid this ever happening again. I have always enjoyed my entire experience when coming to Pho and More, the service has always been superb, food, DELICIOUS, and great portions and prices. It's very disappointing to know I will have to drive further when I currently live 5 minutes from this location. However, being a nonconfrontational person, I will avoid...
Read more12/15/18 Saturday- First time dining at Pho and More in Easley, SC. Very clean, open dining area. Booth and table seating options. Decor is nice with calming music playing. 2 flat screen tvs to watch while you dine. Friendly service from wait staff and cook staff. Lunch time around 1pm on Saturday was fairly busy with most tables full but we did not have to wait. we observed Vietnamese customers dining while we were here so thatâs usually a good indicator.
We ordered Dr. Pepper and water with lemon. They were out of Dr. Pepper and did not bring lemon with the water. We did not complain or ask for what was missing. Just got a Pepsi instead, which came in a can that you poured in a glass.
Then we ordered 2 appetizers: pork & shrimp spring rolls and chicken egg rolls. The spring rolls were sticky and a little fishy tasting. We requested sweet chili sauce but got peanut sauce which I canât eat. We substituted the hoisin sauce that was already on the table to dip the spring rolls in and that was good. Egg rolls were perfect!
We also ordered 2 entrees: beef pho and chicken curry. Beef Pho was delicious and a lot in the bowl. Fresh ingredients and very aromatic. Chicken Curry was meh. The meat was not the best and I got rice noodles instead of brown rice as requested. The curry sauce was skimpy but flavorful.
More positives than negatives. However, I will not likely come back. Iâm pretty sure the American waitress we had was new or that there was communication issues with the Vietnamese managers, which may explain why the substitutes we ordered were not served. Took quite some time to get our bill, like longer than 5-8 minutes. I would rather dine at places in Greenville like Mekong Restaurant for Vietnamese food. But it is nice to have a Pho option in Easley so we might give them...
Read moreWe ordered online after I saw their sign the night before while driving by⌠I didnât have super high hopes â it had been a nearly 12 year quest to find a pho place who had a decent broth after moving to the Upstate from the DC area. I had given up for years. When I tasted it, I was surprised! Who knew the best pho/Vietnamese restaurant would be in Easley of all places?! The broth was perfectly seasoned. The cuts of beef were precise and clean. My only qualm was that the tendon was not as tender as I wanted it to be. There have been restaurants who had good flavor, but a cloudy broth with too much salt; places who had a very watered down broth, to places that had a broth that didnât have the right flavors at all! I am impressed and I am hooked! Plus, their boba is the best in Easley/surrounding area. (I was a little scared to try it, but I always start with taro flavor as a standard. It was great! Texture of their boba, the consistency of their blended drink was all perfect!) Try it! I just dropped in to get boba and had to send my boyfriend back to pick up an online order of pho, itâs...
