I couldn't have asked for a nicer stay than I had at Regency Inn, Eddyville. It has a hometown feel and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and like a home away from home complete with a microwave, refrigerator, and a soft, comfortable bed that is perfect for sleeping. Housekeeping is excellent and non-obtrusive. The complimentary breakfast is fresh, and this hotel serves Starbucks coffee. Mani, at the front desk, is like having a second mom. She, alone, made my stay worthwhile and treated me with hospitality like I have never experienced before. Frankly, I still haven't figured out when this sweet lady sleeps, herself. When I went to the office for breakfast each morning, Mani was there. When I stopped in for a complimentary cookie (or two) during the day, Mani was there. She even went out of her way to provide a fresh cup of coffee for me in the middle of the day. Upon my arrival to the hotel, I remarked to Mani about a flower she had grown in the flower bed in front of the office. I had not seen this flower since I was a little boy. Much to my surprise, Mani dug up that flower and sent with me when I checked out two days later. That's how much these people care about their guests. I couldn't help but give Mani a hug for her kind gesture. She did more than bring back a childhood memory. Now, when I plant this flower every year, it will remind me of Mani and my stay at Regency Inn, Eddyville. If you see a negative review about this hotel anywhere on the internet, don't believe it. Regency Inn truly treats its guests...
Read moreI live in the area and needed to stay here due to freezing temperatures and an unfortunate power outage. I called and dealt with a very nice gentleman who promptly found me a room. I was there within the next hour. The room was ok and I slept through the night (with earplugs as it is on a highway).||I called the front desk because I needed to extend a night and dealt with the same gentleman. He told me to come to the office and we'd take care of it. About thirty minutes later the room phone rang and when I answered, there was a man yelling "You pay!". I had no idea what was happening or who it was.He actually rightened me. I asked him to repeat himself and he just yelled the same thing again. It was painfully clear when I tried to talk to him that he didn't understand me at all.||So, I went to the office to see what the heck was going on and the chaos continued. Despite trying, we could not converse. He kept asking me for information I didn't have and made several calls to a man that spoke his native language. Then he slipped me back my room key and waved me off. It was incredibly frustrating! How do you run a business without being able to clearly communicate with your customers in any way??? I know that this is a very small town and a small motel, but if you can't handle as simple a task as adding a night to a room, then maybe this shouldn't be your job. Having worked in the service industry myself, it just shouldn't...
Read moreThis was a great stopover as we drive across the states. Excellent experience with Sam while making a reservation. He answered all our questions thoroughly. Smooth check-in. Our room was CLEAN. While not yet updated with features at the bathroom sink that are in the photos, it was more than adequate. Great towels, toiletries, and coffee/tea options. Bed had sparkling white sheets and good pillows. We had a quiet, restful night. The breakfast options were many and included healthier options, something I rarely find in these one night hotels. Oatmeal, granola, yogurt, energy and granola bars, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, and more, and good brands. There were also biscuits, sandwiches , muffins, etc, in the refrigerator, but I didn't really look at them. I can't remember all the choices. There were multiple and great tea, coffee, and creamer options. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the quality of the food. Lovely pool area, but I was too tired to make a splash. Our pup was welcome with a reasonable fee. The next time we come through at the right time of day, we will definitely stop here. It's a...
