In terms of the building itself, this Hampton is a lot newer/nicer than ones I've stayed it in the past. The staff here have also been very friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately there's a lot of problems here too. For one, this hotel apparently also serves as a barracks for loud and disorderly military personnel who I guess are stationed at one of the myriad military bases around here. They shout at the top of their lungs and slam doors all night, every night, so I can never get a good night's sleep. As soon as they check out, another group checks in. The noise never stops. I am here for work and have to get up at 4 AM, so this is a huge problem for me.
Housekeeping and kitchen staff also speak little or no English so communicating with them is difficult, and they don't seem to be very well trained (or trained at all). On my first week one of the housekeepers tossed out my toothpaste and all of my receipts which I needed for my expense reports, despite this being against Hampton Inn's policy (the policy is that they should only throw away things that are in the trash). It was the first time something like this ever happened to me at a Hampton Inn. I talked to the front desk about it and fortunately it hasn't happened since they apparently re-trained them, but there are still other problems.
There's a problem with guests cross-contaminating food in the kitchen. This is a problem I've had at other Hamptons but have never seen addressed, despite the fact that Hampton has a policy that if a guest has special dietary needs, they will try their best to accommodate them. I have special dietary restrictions and cannot eat the meat that is served here.
I routinely see guests using the same serving utensils for different foods, even though they set out a separate spoon/tongs for the eggs, meat and potatoes, respectively. To make matters worse, sometimes the staff do not align the utensils properly with their respective plates/signs so some guests get confused and might think that the serving spoon for eggs is for meat, for example.
I talked about the food contamination issue with the front desk and suggested they put a sign up asking guests to be considerate and not cross contaminate items by using the designated utensils for each dish. I was told they'd make a sign right away, but a week later there is still no sign and when I brought it up to the front desk again, they just gave me a generic response and didn't do anything.
The cross contamination issue is a big problem for people with dietary restrictions due to religious beliefs and food allergies. The latter could easily result in someone ending up very sick or dying.
Despite being a newer and nicer building, it doesn't seem well maintained. One of the elevators has been out of service for a couple days now. Several of the doors for the hotel seem to be in poor condition and require considerable force to open or close. One of the washing machines in the laundry room has a damaged door that has to be lifted in order to close it. In one of the dryers, the lint filter is bolted down to the dryer making it difficult to remove the lint. The other dryer has the lint filter broken off at the point where it is bolted down, presumably by a guest who wanted to clean it. Neither is ideal and they should not be bolted down like that in the first place.
Half the accessories for the cable tower in the fitness center are missing (such as ankle straps, which means leg workouts are not possible). The water dispenser in the fitness center is often empty and I have to constantly ask the front desk for water. They also do not maintain hot water in the hot water dispenser in the beverage area in the lobby, so the water is often cold or lukewarm and not hot enough to brew tea with. I constantly have to ask the kitchen/front desk staff for hot water.
There's other problems here as well but if I list them all this review will never end. Overall I am not happy with my experience here and am seriously considering staying at a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn in El Centro, California, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The check-in process was swift and efficient, thanks Sai, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The lobby area was clean, and inviting, setting the tone for the rest of the hotel. My room was spotless and well-appointed, featuring all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was incredibly comfortable with crisp, fresh linens that made for a great night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast. The variety of options was impressive, catering to all tastes and dietary needs. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the breakfast area was kept impeccably clean and well-stocked. The staff in the dining area were attentive and quick to replenish items, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. It’s a hotel you get what your gonna get everything was good enough for me. The hotel's location is another major plus. It's conveniently situated near shopping centers, restaurants, and major highways, making it easy to explore the local area. Despite its proximity to these amenities, the hotel itself is peaceful and quiet, allowing for a restful stay. Additionally, the Hampton Inn offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a beautiful indoor pool nice to cool down and get refreshed . Both were clean and well-maintained, providing great options for relaxation and exercise. Overall, my stay at the Hampton Inn El Centro exceeds my expectations in every way. The combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location makes it the perfect choice for anyone visiting the area. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again on my next trip...

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service my family and I received during our recent stay at the Hampton Inn in El Centro, California.
From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel welcome, comfortable, and truly valued as guests. Two individuals, in particular, stood out for their outstanding professionalism, warmth, and dedication: Acinorev Vega and Amanda from the front desk.
Acinorev Vega was nothing short of exceptional. Her professionalism, friendly demeanor, and constant positive attitude made a lasting impression on us. She was always smiling, attentive, and genuinely cared about ensuring our stay was perfect. Acinorev is clearly someone who takes great pride in her work and truly understands the meaning of hospitality. She went above and beyond every day, and her presence alone made the hotel feel more like home.
Likewise, Amanda at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Her kind, courteous, and efficient manner set the tone from the very beginning. Amanda handled everything with grace and care, and we always felt comfortable approaching her with any questions or needs.
In today’s world, exceptional service like this is rare, and both Acinorev and Amanda exemplify the best of what hospitality has to offer. Because of them—and the entire team at Hampton Inn El Centro—we will not hesitate to return, and we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area.
Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant and memorable one. Dr....
