El Centro HomeGoods was our favorite store up until we were lied to about prices. Multiple Dishonest employees explained how a simple furniture set was discounted due to missing a crucial piece but yet multiple other sets had the same exact discount and same exact price without missing any pieces. The price was originally $499 discounted to $299 on every single set, yet this specific set was the same exact price but missing a piece which should have been easily discounted further. The first employee explained it was discounted due to missing piece. After multiple lies from employees, the manager came to explain that it had been discounted due to a return of the set and returned without the missing piece. This whole time, other complete sets had the same EXACT discounted price down to the penny. So basically they were making their customer feel stupid.
