My Room was dirty upon arrival. Big trash on the floor, floors needed to be mopped especially against the walls, the bathroom needed to be cleaned, and the fridge was gross. The bedding was clean tho! AC unit needs to be cleaned it caused everyone to get sick. I also prepaid for maybe ended up not needing it, and they refuse to do a full refund, and only said i could get 200 back if they approved it - they are claiming I damaged the place worse than it was, we had one thing hurt worse. But, I just walked away from it. I will update this if I actually see the 200 refund they claimed I would get. I will never recommend renting here for more than a night or so. They also said I wrote a review, so here I am writing this review. It's a good stop-gap short-term transition, but don't prepay. I lost 450 dollars due to greed. I left 8 days before the end of April so they get MOST of a WHOLE month's rent for nothing. I had planned to shampoo the carpets but decided against it since they refuse a full refund it should be covered by the 250 dollars they kept for mays rent, and definitely covered if they decide to keep it all. It wouldn't surprise me at all. Washer and dryer on site, they do good, most rooms have a kitchenette I think. IT was nice for. 3 weeks we stayed.
I will update this if I get a partial refund. Otherwise, there are cheaper, cleaner places such as stopgaps and...
Read moreI drove from the eastern seaboard to Albuquerque on Christmas Day 2022 and the day after. I finally tired out in Elk City, OK along the way. My most important criteria in picking a motel in the area was that there be no steps up from the parking lot to the floor of my room, nor long walks down hallways to access the room, and for that, this was the perfect motel. A-Plus for physical accessibility. It was just a handful of steps from my parking space to the door of my room with no steps up.
The manager and the handyman were very helpful, especially when one of my car's windows drooped down and refused to go back up.
The motel is old, probably dating from before Interstate 40 came through, and back when Route 66 was the main route west. It kind of looks like a time capsule. I found that interesting, but many may not. My room did have a flatscreen TV, but I did not use it, nor any of the other amenities apart from the mini-fridge, which worked fine. I was there to sleep deeply for one long night, which I was able to do, and then continue driving west the next day. It was very cold out, but I was able to set the room's heater appropriately. I didn't see any bugs in the room, nor drug dealers while I was unloading my car, and then loading it up again...
Read moreNo Stars. Went to drop guys off for work and guess what the guys are coming back home! Disgusting I wouldn't let anything on this earth stay in one of those rooms! Job or no job I wasn't about to leave ruben or my son there. Health department needs to close it down! Between the smell roaches drug dealers just to name a few things we witnessed I question why is this motel still operating? And for any one needing workers you should be ashamed of yourself putting families that needs to work and pay bills, up in such a disgusting accommodations. Isn't there laws...
