I had to make an all new account or I would have done this sooner. Before going to any hotel, normal people nowadays check reviews. Ya know? Well I’ve stayed here many times with my husband and son. We ALWAYS stop here , stay here for a night or 2 , before heading to Myrtle beach. HANDS DOWN, we have been coming because of the breakfast. It’s never disappointed. It’s never ran out before it was over, it’s never been slim pickings, never had any issues with dietary restrictions or allergies. It’s got something for everyone. Love love love it !! The rooms are usually very clean ( at least that I seen) and customer service is usually up to par. But this time , we looked up recent reviews before our stay of course, (just to see any big changes or issues ahead of time ) and we seen the housekeeper reviews. Some good some bad. At the time , the most recent was of the Ashley girl in housekeeping. Now I had a feeling it would be hopeful thinking to say to my husband maybe we’ll get her when we order some clean towels or something lol. Especially when we usually order any type of service to our room we’re usually not there. However, on this particular day, we knew service was coming and we had some shopping to do for the beach so we were gone for hours. But when we came back , we came back to used towels all picked up and removed, fresh towels to replace them, just like when we checked in, she even folded them really cute with a little design. She also tidied up the beds and vacuumed the disgusting mess My son left on the floor in the living room. and I bet you’re gonna ask how I know it was her. Well I’m sure she does this for all of her rooms, but she left a sticky note behind with a daily affirmation and her name. Which, on a gloomy day, would brighten it for anybody. Fast forward to the following morning we happen to hop in the elevator that she was already in on her way down from the top floor. I noticed her name tag but I didn’t want to look weird so I didn’t say anything lol however I did remember in her review, Somebody tried to get her to come work for them and she declined so my husband took that as a challenge. While we were in this elevator, she made the first move to talk to us and asked if we were going down to join for breakfast, in which my husband answered how we specifically stopped here for the breakfast. Elevators had a back door where the employees can go. So of course it made my son Want to ask 1 million questions. He looked like he was starting to get unruly because he couldn’t go back there.. Ashley simply got down on one knee to his level, and told him about how it was a secret passageway to a secret place, that when he gets to be older, she would be happy to let him see it. And in the funniest way, she basically told him when you turn 18 you can come work here and then you can go through the back doors. Honestly, it made my four out of five star review I originally had planned turn into a 10 out of five star review if I could, the location is still gonna be what it is. It’s a little tricky, but it’s totally worth it. And the pool is inside by the way, which is super OK with me. And if you go out and behind the building is literally Sam’s Club and Walmart you can walk there. Thanks residence inn for another great stay. ( but hey management , would recommend put that Ashley girl in customer service or quality assurance or something. That’s where she belongs.) Sincerely - Jensine and family .

This place was sub par at the most. I travel for work and stay mostly in Residence Inns. This one is way past over due for a renovation. But I will start when I first walk into the room. The last thing you want to find is a remote with greasy fingerprints all over it and a piece of chicken on it. (See pictures) I immediately take the remote down to the front desk, and receive another remote that they clean right in front of me. I go back to the room and begin looking around, the microwave has greasy fingerprints all over the number pads. So further investigation i found the trash from the person who enjoyed their lunch in my room, still in the trash can. I called the front desk and let them know. So not what I want to check in to when I have been driving for two days and just want to unpack and relax. This place had a plaque in the front lobby saying back in December they had a 95% or something clean rating. I don't think that is a true rating. They are cleaning the room only on Fridays and they are not even changing the sheets. The bbq area floods when it rains. All of the room doors are all beat up. This Covid pandemic is hard enough to deal with but having to live in this while traveling is something we shouldn't have to do. It is ashame because my company will hear about this, and will probably choose another hotel in the area. They did give me Marriott points for the so called inconvenience, but to put the cleanliness of the room I am staying in during these Covid times is not worth the points (which weren't much). Shame on this Residence Inn Marriot. Take care of this hotel, whatever it takes. I will say that most of the front desk employees were accommodating and helpful when able to be.

I had a 43-day stay at the Residence Inn Fayetteville, and while there were some positives, a few major issues made my experience disappointing. On the bright side, the breakfast was delicious, and the room itself was well kept and comfortable. However, these positives were overshadowed by more serious problems. Every vent in my room had black mold, which is a major health concern. Additionally, for more than three weeks, half of the hotel’s elevators were out of service, leaving only one working. For a long-term stay, this was incredibly inconvenient. Despite the great breakfast and clean room, the maintenance and health issues were too significant to overlook. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these problems are properly addressed.

I stayed here for ~5 weeks, the room hotel was clean, the staff was very nice and i personally enjoyed my say for the most part.

However there was some significant issues, the hotel is clearly in need of an update, all the walls.doors are marked and dinged to death with different color paint showing through giving the hotel a feeling of being "run down". In all my says i noticed that the side/back accessible without a room card at what appeared to be random hours of day and night. On several occasions I was able to access the building at 1-4Am without needing my key-card. The rooms still have thermostats that require you to select Heat or Cold, this is an issue because room temperatures are heavily affected by building temps, meaning one night you need AC because your room reaches 80 degrees and another night you need Heat because you room is 60 degrees. This happened all in the same week however there was not much variation in the outside temps.

In my first and third stay I was in a Single King bed room, In both rooms the bathroom doors didn't close properly due to being hung poorly and there was clear damage to the fixtures and walls. The TV is placed on top of a dresser that has about 90 degrees of swivel however your unable to lay in bed and watch TV due to the TV not being able to be turn enough. The fridge in 2 of my rooms had ICE makers that where inoperable.

In my 2nd Stay I was in a 1 Bedroom suite, this was a significant upgrade to the King bed studios, however all of my rooms had closet mirrors doors that none had tracks that functioned properly and in 1 rooms would not move at all rendering half the closet unusable.

What really upset me was on one of my last nights there there was a Hotel Room party that after 1100PM i called the front deak to report the noise disturbance. The man at the desk said he would look in to it, i called again at 12am and 1am and got no answer at the front desk. I ended up calling the Fayetteville PD after 2am who sent an Officer at 3am before it was shut down. My coworkers who were in the same wing on the floor above said they called the front desk as well. Clearly the guy on the night shift just didn't care and...

I have been a repeat customer for 5 years. I go every other week for work. Mr. Arnie Garcia was a wonderful general manager and the staff are super sweet. Mr. Garcia was transferred a couple of weeks ago. I had my very first complaint and I addressed it very politely to the new general Manager Rebecca. My air was broken on Monday and I asked for a fan. They told me they did not have fans for customers and that my air would be fixed on Tuesday. I had a late night meeting Tuesday and went to bed when I got back to the room. I woke about 1:30 am pouring sweat and naturally could not go back to sleep. At 8 am I went down to talk to someone. I saw Rebecca and told her I had a complaint. She said ok shoot, well I explained my situation with the air and that I had been promised it would be fixed Tuesday and obviously it was not. Her response, "Well they had so many to replace yesterday but they are here now and it will be done today". That was it!!!!!! No "sorry for your inconvenience and that you were miserable, no You are such a good customer and I am SORRY, No nothing. I also shared with her I made a reservation for 2 rooms in May. I needed a studio and a two bedroom. They said they only had 2 two bedrooms available and I had to pay the 2 bedroom rate even though I did not need 2, two bedrooms. I did not understand because the past 6 wks I have paid for a studio and they have put me in a 2 bedroom every week. Again, she said, it is our policy so we can't do anything about that. It made no sense to me. OH MR ARNIE WHY DID YOU LEAVE????? I just walked away............After 5 years we went to Fairfield Inn on Ramsey St. That will be my new home away from home. All it would have taken was I am sorry, Is there anything I can do for you...............................Yes you can act like YOU CARED...You Are in the business of HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
