TLDR: Not worth the time or money.
Overall this was a depressing experience.
We did not have the Korean BBQ so I cannot speak on that. We ordered from the menu and if you have even one person ordering from the menu, you all have to or you cannot sit together as they will not let people order from the menu to sit next to people who order the buffet. We should have walked away right then and there as the service and quality of this establishment seems to go downhill from there.
One thing to note is that there is an odd odor in the building, sorta stale and twingy as if you are turning on an old air conditioner that has been off for a long time. Or going into a cabin that has been shut up all year. it just smell off and a bit old. The floors are also sticky.
For the menu, do not believe it. They still have the old Kobe menu and have not updated it or marked things off that they will not server you. And please ignore all the giant signs that say they have hotpot as they do not serve that. Other menu issues we noticed, is that if you are getting a Korean dinner from the menu, only expect kimchi and a slightly sweet miso soup ( I literally could not identify this soup by taste and I have had a large variety of miso soups over the years). When I ordered the bulgogi, it did not come with the bean sprouts or the cucumber kimchi. The wait staff said they only serve kimchi. They did not mention this when I ordered the food. Probably the same reason they make you pay before you eat as well as literally warn you there are no refunds or exchanges with the food. ( The signs stating such should have been a warning on their own, but in the middle of ordering our food, the staff member taking our order interupted me to tell me there are no refunds) Frankly I never really thought of wanting a refund at any restaraunt before, that is, until I ate (tried to eat) here.
When the food was brought to us, it was very awkward. Everything was served in togo containers even though we were dining in. That, with the small table, made it very uncomfortable to stay to eat. it was very difficult to find places for the lids of the containers without getting in the way of someone else we were eating with. The price of the food is way to high to be served as if we were in a fast food establishment.
As for the quality of food. Some of it was okay. The Bulgogi had decent flavor, however the raw onions were so sharp I could not continue eating. The pork was fatty and full of gristle in the pork fried rice and the overall flavor was too sweet. The dumplins were okay and the sauce they came with was good. The other people ate with did not like the hibachi chicken or steak they had, and no one came close to finishing their food even though I am usually the only one with left overs. One of them said the sushi roll they ordered was ok. Their soups were good but not like any other clear soup or miso soup I have had.
I know for our group, we do not plan on ever going back to try again. I hope that anyone who goes there has a better experience...
Read moreI dont usually write reviews but since management changed I feel like this needs an update. Food has become okay, not great. Get steamed rice because fried rice tastes like egg and nothing else. Bulgogi is thick and tastes bizarre, not bad but not like it used to. Bean sprouts are non existent which is usually one of my favorite veggies for korean barbecue.
A woman greeted my wife and I (halfheartedly) when I arrived and waved me off to another staff member who sat me and ended up being my server. when i used to come here all the time I felt welcomed when I arrived by the old host. We ordered pineapple soju, but they were out of their only korean beer (?) Our server asked if we wanted to do soju bombs and recommended me a Japanese beer which was just as good. She invited me to the bar to view the selection and made our drinks right away even though the place was full. Their cocktail menu is basic but our waitress accommodated and made a wonderful drink since my wife refuses to drink OJ.
When we used to come to Kobe, food was great and service was OK. Now, service was great and food was only OK. Also our server had to fix a problem with another worker charging us incorrectly but avoided us being double-charged. it just seemed messy but they did everything they could to solve the problem. maybe more organization is needed.
Food 6/10 sushi was delicious and seemed fresh but the hot bar had a lot of dry fried chicken. raw barbecue item problems mentioned above. Service 10/10 Atmosphere 3/10 (music too loud like a club and staff yells at each other by front door while we wait) Anyway, as far as i know the only place to grill your own korean food in fayetteville,...

I visited O'Hana International for the first and last time 02/29/20. I was sadly disappointed with my entire experience. The food quality was mediocre at best. The two waitresses in my area were not friendly and looked completely exhausted.
While we were having dinner, a customer at the table behind us tried to stand up and fainted. My brother walked over to the table to offer assistance. The young lady thought she was ok and tried to get up again and passed out for a second time.
The people she was dining with called 911. I walked over to help my brother and was told that the women was a diabetic. While we waited for the ambulance I gave her something sweet, we removed her coat, offered her water and reassured her help was on the way.
At no time did anyone from the restaurant offer assistance, call 911, or appear to be concerned for the customer laying on the floor.
My only request to the waitress was to have a container to take my food home because the incident happened before I could even have one bite of food. She told me they were not allowed to give containers with no exceptions.
To me the blatant disregard and general disrespect for the customers is the reason I will never eat...
