Budget Motel — Hotel in Fletcher

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star if didn't have to. To start the room stunk. There was a syringe cap in the bathroom sink drain, the exhaust fan didn't have a cover and there was so much dust I'm shocked it hasnt caught on fire yet. Both the fridge and microwave DID NOT WORK so we had nowhere to keep anything cold. We called the lady at the front desk she was beyond rude saying" the past 2 people that stayed had no complaints" she didn't come up till the next morning to see if it really wasn't working. Turned to my fiance and said she wasnt giving any money back because we didn't have any food which there was a pizza box in the trash and we had 3 drinks (all that would fit) in an ice bucket. She said that the bed worked so she wasnt gonna give us any discount and we paid $100 for 1 night. I was really offended by the bed comment like she was implying I was there just for that NO! We had finally got an overnight sitter so we wanted to be alone. WORST...

This could be a decent motel with a little maintenance and sprucing up. It is in an excellent location and is not as expensive as some of the other hotels in the area. Outside, there was lots of trash on the grounds. The exterior needs pressure washing and painting. Inside, it was pretty clean overall. But my toilet made a death rattling noise every time I flushed it. One of the lampshades is damaged beyond hope. On the bath sink, there is an area that is chipped off. I don't have an axe to grind with the owners but it would really help if they would spend a little money on the motel. Meanwhile, other travelers should be able to read reviews so they know...

They refused to give me a room. Said it was because I have a North Carolina Id. I am in the military and am stationed in Texas. Live in Texas just home visiting family. Needed a room at the last minute and they flat out refused it. Even after explaining that I am military and showing my military id. Man was very rude and told me he don't hand out charity. Like seriously what charity was I asking for when I am asking to PAY for a room for the night. Do not go to this place. Very rude...
