DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We booked a room for one night before a cruise. The hotel was booked 3 months in advance. Upon arrival we checked in after a reasonable wait and were told we could not go to our room until 3pm unless we paid extra although rooms were ready. we booked this Hotel not only because of location but because they had a pool we could use after arriving on our flight. This is where the issue begins. While we were being assigned our room...#211 we were told that we could not turn the temperature above 65 degrees because of mold. We kinda disregarded this info until we went to the room and saw that it in fact had been set to 65 and there was some sort of dehumidifier in the room also.. we went back to the lobby and on the front sliding door there was an orange UNSAFE sign stating "THIS BUILDING SHALL BE VACATED AND SHALL NOT BE OCCUPIED.. dated 10/30/24. We could not believe what we were seeing. This was on 11/1/24. We tried to book another hotel but there were none available due to some boat show in town. The manager told us "not to worry about it because it only involved the pool and that area... our room was just down the hall from the pool... we had no choice but to stay there with the temperature at 65 degrees and we were terrified the whole evening. Additionally, one of the two elevators didn't work during our stay. The hotel was fully booked with people going on a cruise and it took forever to get an elevator out of that place. We left about 8am. We are thankful we did not get sick from mold and that the hotel didn't fall down as we slept. We filed a formal complaint with Best Western.. claim #956518. They contacted the hotel about our concerns and to this date we have not heard one word from the hotel. There have been repeated follow ups with best western support and with the hotel directly and we have not gotten so much as a phone call back. We have left messages for who we think is the regional and who we were told is the hotel manager with no response. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I HAVE ATTACHED PICTURES OF THE POSTINGS. BEWARE. This place was almost $200 for one night so think twice. We will be filling a complain with the better business bureau also. Hopefully someone will be held responsible to at least explain how this is ok ever. Best western support was very nice however they say it's between us and the hotel. YOU HAVE CHOICES. UPDATE.. after this was posted there was a message that they would look into it and get back to us promptly. That has NOT happened. BEWARE

After several emails and pictures. The hotel manager lidu would not refund me b/c it was booked through booking.com. What are they going to do about it?! They cannot fix those issues, you need to. Best Western Plus has the ability and information to contact the third party as they are vendor partner of theirs to rectify the situation if they really wanted, but instead, they said 'go fish.' If I could give negative stars I would. Upon arrival to the hotel I received the most unfriendly check in I could ever get. I finally get to my extra small room that had a wierd damp feel and smell. I check my sheets to get ready for my and what do I see a BLOOD stain on my bed. I called front desk they tell me they can't move me because the hotel is to capacity, it's almost 1am so I say ok can you guys at least come change the sheets and disinfect, the same guy who was the shuttle driver came to the room knocked on the door handed me a new sheet and walked off (so much for house keeping or customer service). When I called the front desk about the BLOOD stains on the sheets I also asked for a late check out which I was told I have. Well the next morning I was in the shower and I hear a knock at the door and it's maid service my daughter tells the lady we asked for a late check out and not even 2 minutes later there is a call to my room and we are threatened by the front desk telling us we need to depart from the room. I spoke with the manager Alejandro and he tells me I apologize let me make some adjustments to your bill (my stay should have been free with a comp for a free night at another best Western) I will call you in a matter of hours with how much we adjusted. Well that was on November 19,2016 and here is December 7 and still no word from him. I have called several times and left several messages and still he is ducking a dodging me.to add insult to injury I finally get the manager on the phone after weeks of calling and finally he tells me that he could only reimburse me $50 for having to stay in a room with blood stained sheets. Thank heavens I called corporate which is good and bad because this dump is independently owned

If I could give negative stars I would. Upon arrival to the hotel I received the most unfriendly check in I could ever get. I finally get to my extra small room that had a wierd damp feel and smell. We arrived on September 23rd, after being in an airport all day. We were truly exhausted. The driver Paul was a very nice man. He went out of his way to help people he didn't "have" to help. The rooms were clean. However we had what seemed to be intoxicated neighbors or just very loud! We contacted the front desk I believe between 12 to 12:30 in the morning. We informed them that the room next to us was trying to get into our room by yanking and banging on the adjoining door. We also did not know what the noise was, baby screaming or some other person. We were told that can't be there is only one person there. The noise continued louder with what we realised was no baby but a male and female. Screaming, TV blaring and they were having a wild party. Then the sex began. At around 3:30 my husband called back to the front desk. The same gentleman said he would have to come up and investigate. He knocked on our door and told us, there is no noise next door and no baby. We were imagining. We must be crazy! We told him that there may not be a baby but they were very loud and it's the middle of the night and we just need sleep! The next day my husband spoke with the front desk clerk and explained everything to her, especially regarding how a hotel employee was rude to us and called us crazy! We slept 2 hours that night! She told us we could get a complimentary night stay. We informed her that wasn't possible. So, she said we could get a refund in 5 to 7 business days. She did say the manager was gone for a week. We continued onto our next destination and the funds never appeared back in our bank. When we arrived at the airport in Florida, I called and was told the Mgr was in a meeting and would call me back in an hour. 2 hours went by and no call. So, we called back, this time he was at lunch. The third time 5 hours later I called back and the front desk clerk asked why I needed to speak to the Mgr. I said well he was supposed to call me back hours ago, I'm sure he knows! She put me through to him. He said his employee never put down anyone trying to get into our room and that the first time the complaint came in was 9:30 and no one was in the adjoining room. That is untrue as we had just arrived at the hotel at that time and the front desk clerk told us a good place to eat, so we walked there and ate. It was almost 11 when we got back and we sat out by the pool for a bit enjoying the beautiful Florida night. The Mgr also stated that all that was put down was baby crying. And when I informed him that when we called back the second time that we let the front desk know there was NO baby just two very loud adults who wouldn't quit trying to get into our room and being very loud. He said well they can't get into your room. I said I knew that but they kept trying! The Mgr said he would have to do an investigation. I asked how long the investigation would take he said he could not give me a time frame. I then expressed that I felt he was trying to push my concerns under the rug. I explained I was calling corporate. He said that was fine but HE was the only one who could give money back. Very rude customer service, it is no wonder that the male front desk person at night treats people the way he does if his Mgr does the same. Breakfast was a joke with bananas that the stems were already opened and put back. The only one not opened felt liquified inside. Do not stay here if you want to sleep! Stayed on December 28 for one night prior to a cruise. Terrible check in experience with a dismissive, rude and ambivalent employee. My wife and I arrived ahead of other family members one of whom made the reservation. All family members were named in the reservation with the number of rooms reserved. The employee would not allow us to check in until the family member who made the reservation arrived even though non of the rooms were prepaid. We offered to pay for all three rooms up front with our credit card. The employee declined insisting it was BW policy and simply went about other business. We then offered to have the family member call from her airport where she was waiting to board her flight. The employee refused. She said that she required an email from said family member from the email address she used to make the reservation. However the employee refused to tell us which email address was used. Anyway by then the family member was enroute and unable to do so. We ended up waiting in the front area of the hotel for 6 hours. When the family member arrived we paid with our credit card that we offered up in the first place. What a joke. A very bad joke. I have travelled extensively and never experienced such a terrible check in. What if we had infant children, were elderly or had special needs. I will never book with “Best” Western again.

Since I posted the above review BW responded stating they were disappointed, had since escalated my complaint to management team and that I should call the property for a resolution. I called and spoke with a front desk employee who stated they would relate my message to the Manager. Twenty four hours later and I have still not received a call back! I do not intend to continue calling the property . BW should simply refund my one night stay fully and completely.

Refer to Trip Advisor for the numerous other terrible reviews and stay away from this property!

January 9/25 update. Still no call back from the owner or Manager of the property!!!!

January 14/25 Update. Still no contact from the BW property owner or Manager. Filed a complaint with Best Western Corporate on January 10. No reply!

January 28/25 Update. Still no contact from BW property owner or Manager and no reply to complaint filed with BW Corporate. Best Western Hotels are Best Forgotten!!!!

UPDATE! March 8/25 Two months after posting the same review on Trip Advisor I received a reply via TA from the General Manager expressing disappointment that my experience didn’t meet BW standards and hoping that I would consider giving them another opportunity. What a joke. I never did receive a call back offering a resolution as promised nor did I receive any reply regarding my complaint that I filed with BW Corporate.
