If I could give Lasso Gaucho 10 stars in each category I would. I too am a business owner. As a result I do not write negative reviews for businesses unless they REALLY earn one. As for positive reviews, It is the same. In other words, if I take the time to write a review, I am likely super impressed with the business. I am going to discuss each part of this business as most of the time, people only focus on the Rodizio aspect for Brazilian Steak houses.
Kindness: Every employee we encountered, from the hostess to the owner was warm, smiling and welcoming to my wife and I. We noticed it and appreciated it.
Atmosphere: This place looks the part. It was modern, but authentic. Functional, but fun. Most of all it was clean and very well kept.
Drinks: Our main waiter was funny, professional, suggesting and not over the top. We did decide to try his suggestions for drinks and both of us loved them. Mine had some strawberry and Vodka, but was not over the top or too sweet. My wife's drink had passion fruit and Vodka and she did not take long to finish it.
Salad Bar: Many times this important aspect gets left out of these reviews for Brazilian Steak Houses. This was the hands down best salad bar I have encountered at any restaurant, Brazilian or otherwise. Everything was just so fresh, well presented, and tasting amazing. My wife does not eat most meats (only an occasional Salmon) so she (and thus I) depend deeply on the Salad Bar. Her specific comments were around the richness of the selection, the quality of everything she tried, and how clean and well kept it remained. I have never seen my wife make more than 2 trips to a Salad bar. I lost count on how many times she visited this one! Notable items here: The smoked Salmon was delicious, I fell in love with the stroganoff, the Shrimp on the salad bar was amazing. Honestly, both our salad plates were cleaned. So good!
Now... the meats. Please excuse me in advance as I am not Brazilian, and I do not spell or remember what all of these things were called so I will do my very best to describe them.
Bottom Sirloin: Flavor profile was absolute perfection. I remain baffled how they cook this cut and it comes out so juicy and tender with an amazing flavor.
Pichana: This is my favorite cut from any Brazilian steak house. But here at Lasso Gaucho it was just indescribably good. I still do not understand where restaurants get these cuts of meat, and let that be there secret, but my goodness, PLEASE keep getting them. And please, keep preparing them with the same attention and care you are doing it. It was amazing.
I am not sure what they called it but I thought they said it was a pork loin and it was there own special recipe. Whatever it was, I have never had something so tasty. It was tender, had a beautiful, delicate and buttery taste to it and I specifically asked for another round of it because it was SO GOOD.
Shrimp! On the Rodizio! It was a first for me, but it was amazing! Loved it!
One notable item that never made it to me was Linguisa (Sausage I believe). I am not sure if they do not serve it there or if I just got to full too fast on the other items. But I do love me some Linguisa and hope I can try theirs the next time I go here.
Desert: We shared a piece of Cheesecake. It was just so rich, but not over the top. We both loved it and even as full as we both were, we finished it. Sweet. Perfection.
Concluding Coffee and Drinks: I am about to mess up this name... "Carajillo" Oh my goodness it was a latin version of an Irish coffee. It was flaming, and had multiple flavor notes from coffee, to oak, to I am not sophisticated enough to specify, but it was hands down the best after-dinner drink I have ever tried. Oh by the way, It was my wife's choice (another fine suggestion from our waiter), but I could not stop taking sips of it. I had a simple decaf expresso. It was just exactly what I needed to complete this experience.
Final thoughts: Eat here! It is amazing. Thank you...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into Lasso Gaucho, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance is warm, elegant, and inviting—perfectly blending the traditional charm of a Brazilian steakhouse with upscale sophistication. The attention to detail in every corner of the restaurant reflects a deep pride in both the cuisine and guest experience.
Let me start by giving two big thumbs up for the incredible service and hospitality we received from Isabella and Dickson. They went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable. Isabella was so warm, welcoming, and attentive—she made sure every request was handled with grace and efficiency. Dickson’s knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations truly elevated our experience. You both made us feel like VIPs, and we can’t thank you enough.
Now, let’s talk about the food. If you’re a meat lover, Lasso Gaucho is paradise. Every single cut—from the juicy picanha to the perfectly seasoned lamb chops, tender filet mignon, and flavorful sausage—was cooked to perfection. The gauchos serve the meats with pride and precision, always with a smile, and ensure every bite is fresh and hot.
The salad bar is equally impressive: a beautifully curated spread of fresh vegetables, fine cheeses, smoked salmon, prosciutto, and unique Brazilian side dishes. It’s not just an appetizer—it’s an experience in itself. And don’t even get me started on the cheese bread and fried polenta… addictive is an understatement!
We also thoroughly enjoyed the wine selection, which paired beautifully with our meal, and we couldn’t resist ending the night with their papaya cream dessert, which was light, refreshing, and the perfect finale.
Overall, Lasso Gaucho delivered a 10/10 experience from start to finish. It’s a place where culinary excellence meets heartfelt hospitality. Thank you again, Isabella and Dickson, for making our evening so special—we’ll definitely be back soon, and we’ll be...
Read moreShocking Valentine’s dinner. Appalling. Whoever is the GM needs to find another job. Arrived on time for my 8pm reservation, chaos was wreaking at the front desk. Turns out they took 3x more reservations than they had tables. On a day like V’s day when everybody and their mom will actually show up. A customer threw a pager on the hostess. Whoever the managers are, they put their employees in danger and ruined the night for a lot of people. One of them was crying. Needless to say, managers didn’t even show face in the front desk. It was all up to the abused hostesses.
Once we finally got a seat, things finally calmed down. Service was slow and very rushed but I don’t have high expectations for holidays and special days. Impeccable salad bar, tasty medium rare meats, all the fixings… amazing food. Until one of the meat runners, not knowing I am also a portuguese speaker, when asked for “a little bit of the ribeye” says “a little bit seu fiofó meu amigo of course”. That, for non-portuguese speakers, literally means “a little bit your as*”. I was shocked and asked him if he spoke portuguese and introduced myself as a fellow brazilian. He disappeared in embarrassment. I told one of his coworkers and all she did was take the dessert off the check. Overall the food is amazing, the place was highly recommended by friends but the chaos and a meat runner cursing me in another language thinking I don’t understand the language are an F. The absence of managers controlling the chaos, talking to tables etc. just exemplifies another mismanaged establishment that would probably have the same fate as the former Texas de Brazil that once occupied the premises. I left disgusted. Never coming back. I’m sure Chima or other all you can eat churrascarias up north also have amazing food. Shocking. I should dispute the charge but unlike management and the meat runner that tried to be funny, I often try to be a...
