Our group of 6 girls had an poor experience from the start to end of our tour. We were asked by our captain, Jeff (a captain on the company's recommended captains list), to arrive 15 minutes early (9:45) for our 10 am, 3 hour tour. Our bachelorette party group of 6 arrived on time, and at 10:05, we started to text/call Jeff. He said he would "be there soon and was in traffic." 15 minutes later the company representative called him and got the same answer. Jeff didn't walk up to the dock until 10:30 which is beyond unacceptable for a charter boat we were paying ~ $800 pre-tip for. He then silently got the boat ready to leave and we didn't leave until about 10:40.
Prior to getting on the boat, I (MOH) had called Party Boat Fort Lauderdale who apologized a lot and was willing to refund an hour and give us a 2 hour boat tour instead of 3, as that is all we had time for due to other commitments that day. I told Jeff this and he agreed to do 2 hours instead of 3 and we left the dock.
For our "tour", Jeff barely said a word. When we were swimming at the sandbar, he sat on the boat smoking. After we got back in the boat, he started driving in the opposite direction we were supposed to be going, and when I asked "hey are we going back soon, this is 2 hours?" he acted like he had never heard of this and insisted the tour was for 3 hours. After the back and forth he said "well if it is 2 hours, we should head back quickly" and proceeded to go at a speed with no wake the 25 minutes back to the dock.
The whole situation was honestly just awkward, and a real downer given this was our first activity as a bachelorette group. With the number of other party boats in Fort Lauderdale, I would recommend...
Read moreI usually don't leave negative reviews, but I wish I could give zero stars for our experience. We had the mini yacht booked for a sunset cruise for a bachelorette party. About 30 minutes before we were set to depart, I received a phone call that the boat was having engine issues and would most likely not be fixed in time for our tour. They offered us the pontoon and would refund us the difference in price. Mind you, at this point we had already paid for Ubers and were arriving at the pier. After several back and forth phone calls with management, they finally offered us an additional 50% discount for the inconvenience.
After seeing the pontoon boat pull up to the pier, and being told it would be a "similar experience" to the mini yacht, we immediately decided this is not the "luxury experience" we had wanted or expected. Needless to say we cancelled our tour and asked for a full refund. The lack of empathy from the managing staff was really disappointing and being informed of the boat issue only 30 minutes prior to our departure was very unprofessional. I understand some things are unavoidable, but engines should have been checked well before our trip and we should have been notified in advance so we could have made alternate plans. Our group was really looking forward to this tour and were left very upset and...
Read moreCame here for my second time.. very disappointed in my second time. LOVED our captain and experience the first time. For my second and most recent time (3/2024). The selection of captains for a young group was lacking. So we just picked a random captain and although he was nice, everything was super unorganised. He could not find my groups forms so we had to spend our paid time filling things out again. We did the sand bar and spent a chunk of time moving the anchor (our selves) because we kept crowding other boats. Took away from the experience for sure. This is not a cheap activity and our time we paid for was moved and then cut short and he upped his captain fee then asked for a tip that he honestly did not deserve.. If you have a good captain it is well worth it, but was less than pleased this...
