Estero Island Beach Club — Hotel in Fort Myers Beach

Well. It all started when my buddy and I were walking around looking for our family friends who were staying here. We were also thinking about getting a place to stay for a couple nights. While walking to the back of the building to look for them by the beach, we were greeted by Graham, the least pleasant human being I've ever encountered. We were harassed for 5 minutes and treated like criminals. Instead of being welcoming, he told us that we were trespassing and even after I told him the situation (us trying to find our family friends) he told us to turn around. I told him we were going to go ahead and continue finding them out by the beach. He said if he sees us again he was going to take a photo of us and turn it in to the police. At this point I just laughed and told him to do whatever he needed to do and went on my way. I understand your need for security and to ensure that people are not taking up facilities of paying customers, of which I was considering being, but that is not an excuse for harassment and total unprofessionalism from your staff. I will obviously not be spending my money here and nor will my family friends after their stay is over. Respect and customer service is how you run a good business and from your ratings it looks that the most of you and management who work here understand that. Came here through our timeshare exchange. When we arrived we were given a place that was sooo small that it felt claustrophobic! Called and complained to the front desk. We were told there was nothing else available. Tried to call our timeshare but of course, it being the weekend we didn't get anywhere. We had decided that we might look around and see if we could find someplace else even though it would cost us! Went to the front desk, complained again and what do you know, they changed our room!!! We were in our room one morning eating breakfast and our door opens. It was locked!! In walks this man. He didn't knock, didn't announce who he was. Finally asked us if we were having toilet problems. We replied no. He walked out and closed the door. Questioned the front desk and they confirmed that he was a maintenance man. I would not recommend this place. It really needs to be updated!!! Wall damaged, flooring looks bad. The pool area and deck area are very nice. The buildings...

I adore this place. If you want parties and hooking up with strangers this is not the place for you lol this is a quiet, family oriented resort with cute little condos, fully equipped so you can save on eating out at restaurants if you want to. If you don't mind paying the tourist prices at restaurants, you can go that route too! There's plenty all around. We usually just get groceries down the street and stock up on favorites to save on meals. They have 2 pools, one oceanside, and a hot tub, plus BBQ grills, ice machines, free laundry facilities and lend bicycles and kayaks. The staff is super friendly. Have been visiting for over 20 years and the kids (now young adults) still love going here to relax. The weekends can get really busy and the pools full because that's when guests usually have visitors come over but by Monday only the guests remain and it's usually very quiet.
