Set up parasailing reservation on Thursday for one flyer for Friday morning. Arrived half hour before scheduled time. Ended up waiting for another group of four, whom arrived late. Once we all got aboard the parasailing boat, the captain had the four latecomers ride first. Which at the time I didn’t care. However, once it was my nieces turn to fly they said they had to stop for weather. Ok I can understand that, even though the storm was far away. However, now my 9 year old niece all harnessed and ready to fly gets told she can’t go. Yet the inconsiderate late comers got to fly. If they were not late my niece could have had her turn. If the captain thought that there was a chance not everyone would have a turn he should have done first come first served. We arrived first, waited around a long time for late comers, got put on the boat, harnessed in and at the last second told nope sorry…. We even waited around the beach for an over hour. The distant storm moved off and it was sunny skies. Yet we get a call that the captain called it for the day. My niece goes home Saturday and missed out on the one thing she really wanted to do. Why? I’m going to assume that since you pay per person, the captain took up the two pairs of people first. That way he got paid for four riders. Because my niece was a single he didn’t want to bother. And I bet he had no other reservations for the rest of the day and didn’t want to go out for just one. Because weather definitely was not a factor. I live locally and understand our weather. This caption didn’t care about breaking a little girls heart. He only cared about making as much money as he could. With as little effort as possible. Not the type of people I will do business with again. There are way too many other options for parasailing around here. When my family visits our business will...
Read moreHi, I am from Iowa and come to Fort Myers every year. I always go parasailing with paradise parasail. As I have several polarized pictures, I am told I get half off. My grandson and I went parasailing today. The girl booking the rides there by the pier on Fort Myers beach is Americus or something similar to that. I told her that I had a couple of Polaroid pictures of myself and my grandson. So I should get half off. I also told her that we wanted to book the longest flight and get the picture package. She responded by repeating what I wanted so I know she heard me When we were brought down after our flight, I asked the guys why they didn’t take the pictures. He said it was not on our ticket. Also I saw that I was not given the half price as is advertised. She did take some off, not half. I told her that I was also out by not getting the picture package. She then yelled at me and said, what do you want me to do? Send you back out? She was rude, inept at her job and never even offered me an apology. I have gone with Paradise Parasail for 5 years now. But with your front line staff treating customers so rudely, not giving the package which was requested and not fixing the bill correctly and not even offering an apology, this will probably be my last time to use this company. I hope that this girl gets some training in doing her job and also how to treat...
Read moreEdited to 3 stars After listing the review and reaching out via facebook to the owner, they are providing a gift card and they were apologetic and explained more of the circumstances/situation behind what had happened while we were there. Like I mentioned at the bottom of the my first review, the crew was great, maybe just bring multiple forms of payment, just incase so that you're all set to go :)
First review (1 star): I would never recommend this company. There are 4 other parasailing companies on the same beach and you should go to them. When we got here they took my credit card and kept it until after the ride to charge us. We got back from the boat and the management said their credit card machines weren’t working so we had to leave our card with them and go to the ATM and get cash. They wouldn’t cover the ATM fee or reduce the cost for their terrible customer service. They told other customers their credit card machine wasn’t working before they got on the boat but didn’t tell us. That’s really bad business to take a credit card and say you can pay with it and after services are rendered demand another form of payment that the customer doesn’t have on them. Never coming back or recommending this. However the guys driving the boat did an amazing job but that was quickly overshadowed by the...
