98 people came to their unfortunate demise as they experienced untimely death in a building that should not have collapsed which it did as the Surfside condo in Miami earlier this summer. It collapsed after having been designated a structure in need of great repair and in violation of many codes. At what point might Wyndham want to consider the worth of a human being is more than the worth they obtain through their greedy corporate policies while they with intent and determined purpose have chosen to ignore and remain in denial about what happened in Florida. Everyone who owns a building should have been influenced by the Florida crisis and therefore should engage in LIFE SAVING decisions if you are in violation with reports from inspectors warning you, which respectable people choose to heed attention. Wyndham turns a blind eye to the Travelodge Hotel in Fort Wayne Indiana. I went to check in at 1pm after informing the desk attendant I have the privileges of the platinum level to request an early check in which states we do not pay the $20 that is hammered on unsuspecting guests upon their arrival. My room was not ready and they would let me know when it is ready so I could get my money's worth as they were sold out the night before (which really means they had five guests total). I decided to go for a walk. Thank God my room was not ready as I would have had to begun the gruelling process of a refund as I would sit the Lucifer having warm appetizers while I presented evidence warranting a return of the money I took out with a short term installment loan to pay the sinful price for this hotel. Very clever of management who proclaim to themselves, "my God the fire marshall condemned us and ordered us to post notes on the doors." A staff members reply....."just put the signs on the back of the building and if we only rent the front rooms then they will never know." Good idea!!!!! Wait! Hold on! Red letters on the doors that the building is condemned and you are not allowed to trespass. LMAO. How does Wyndham think they will last much longer as they have discerned the law does not apply to them. The reality of a building in the shape such as the one in Florida that killed 98 lives is not ethical or moral to jeopardize the health of good people so the benefactors on the board can profit. Finally I had a call at 7:35 from Super 8 hotel telling me my room was ready. lol. Six hours later. And it turns out my phone said Super 8 incoming call because Travelodge is the former name of Hades the 7th...

This motel is the worst travelodge I have ever been in. Let's start with the outside environment. Shady people outside that watch your every move. I was so bothered by the people around that I went and put my gun on me. Drug activity, prostitution, people sitting in their cars that arent even staying there. I was outside getting something out of my car and a truck pulled in with two guys in it. They asked me for the wifi to the motel and I said I wasnt given it. They continued to ask me if I'm from around here and if I knew people around there. The one guy asked me if I am staying there with anyone. I lied and said yes my husband was in the room. Then they started watching a younger female who came out of her room. I did go and report them to the office and went to the store. They were gone when I came back. Now the inside. I know the saying you get what you pay for but this was ridiculous. The floors were nasty, the ac/heater didnt turn on, the lights didnt work, the door had to be pulled up on to shut, the refrigerator didn't work so when I was trying to change the temp to make it work I could smell freon and it made me light headed, I shut the door and the smell was in the room, the room also smelled of marijuana coming through the vent in the bathroom from the room next door, the walls were disgusting, the toilet in the bathroom tilted from side to side, the shower was disgusting, bugs were on the walls. The only thing good was the bed. After all this, I went to the office and told the woman all this stuff and I just wanted to check out. She said ok no problem. I said I need a refund, and she informed me I had to go through booking.com to get it. So I called booking and they said they had to contact the motel. I sat on hold and when booking returned he said no one was answering so he would send a email. two days later I got a email from booking. It stated travelodge will not give me any accommodations back. Wait what? I was told by travelodge that they had no say. Apparently they do. I was robbed of $350 for a stay I never had. Do...
Read moreThe daytime manager is an unreasonable woman who steals money from guests! I stayed here right before I got my Identification card, so my good friend got the room for me with my money. Oka, a little sketc, but I'm a respectful tennant because I need the hotels since I lost my place of residence. Anyways. I stay in the room , just to sleep mind you and when I check out (on time) the lady first declairs that the room was never paid for then she finds the money, doesn't apologize and when I ask for my deposit back she asks me for an id. Most places don't do that. The nighttime manager knew what was up, and my friend had already authorized that the deposit could be released to me. Now, with no plausible reason to keep my money, she falsely claimed that I damaged the room by staining the bed. Which was 100% not true. She even ended up calling the cops saying I was being violent and aggressive towards her. The cops arrive hear our stories and we all go check the rooms he points out the stain that was deep, red and nasty looking. Although the stain was on the sheets I proved that it couldn't have been me because the stain didn't penetrate to the mattress when it very obviously should have. The cops agree that I didn't stain the mattress, but they couldn't force her to give me my money back saying it was a civil case. She banned me unfairly and had the cops put me on a trespass list so I can never go back on the property even though I didn't do anything wrong except stand my ground about not being wrong. Long story short she had no reason to keep my money other than she wanted to so be careful when you rent from this place. The woman that works the daytime shift will keep your money if she decides she...
