First time back since pre-covid. It was not a good experience. The server had no knowledge of the menu/food. My husband and I ordered the Grandpa's Country Breakfast. She asked how we wanted our steaks. I informed her that the steaks are breaded and that I've never been asked that before. We never got the coffee we ordered and as we are waiting for our food to come out the server came back to our table and said you get 2 sides with your meals. She asked which sides we wanted. So we chose 2 sides each. After the meals came out we noticed that we did not get our eggs which came with the meal and she hadn't asked how we wanted them cooked yet the server said she had the cook make fresh eggs because they had been sitting. đ¤The server interrupted our meal way too many times by bringing missed parts of our meal. I understand that she was new (or at least that's what the server said) but it was getting to be ridiculous. When she brought our bill we noticed 2 additional charges and asked her why they were on there. She said it was because we ordered extra sides which was not true. I asked her to please get a manager. She asked should she get another server. I said no a manager. A shift leader came out after having talked to the server. She asked how she can help. I told her the charges weren't right on the bill. Even the meal on the bill was more than a Grandpa's Country Breakfast let alone the extra item charges. The shift leader said it was because we ordered extra items and said at most it would be a fifty cents difference. For me, it was the fact that the shift leader already has a preconceived answer for what was going on before hearing our side. She finally corrected the bill. I informed the shift leader that it wasn't the servers fault. I told her this is a training issue and that the server wasn't ready to be working by herself. I also feel like the shift leader could use some training in customer server as I felt like she didn't really won't to believe that the mistake was made by the server and not us as the shift leader said the server thought we were ordering from the lunch/dinner menu. I told her we ordered from the breakfast menu and even showed the server the meal in the breakfast menu as we were placing our order. Cracker Barrel used to be my favorite place for breakfast as we have ordered via doordash during covid but after that last experience we won't be ordering from there.    Read moreFIRST and foremost: if you have the misfortune of getting the server KIMBER....LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!! I used to love the Ft Wayne Cracker Barrels. While I think the food is still good we have had problems at both locations, most recently this location. While we had a 20 minute wait to be seated, that was obvious when my husband and I walked in. We were in good spirits when we got there and didn't mind the wait but it only went downhill once the server arrived at our table. She did everything she could to make it a miserable visit...PURPOSELY! She SENT a wrong order to our table who had been seated LONG after us. She would walk by us not stating IF our order would EVER arrive. She finally dropped down our order minus the corn muffins, stated she would bring them but DID NOT until I finally said "LOOK, we are going to be done eating if you do not bring them." She did not bring condiments for our catfish until we were half finished with them. I said "I will take the bill now" when she brought them so that I could be finished with her. But no...she charged my bill incorrectly. She said she would fix it but waited another 10 minutes to pick up the slip and do so. We left almost immediately to get out of there. However; upon paying a new payment system had been installed and that went badly. I told the lady at the register that it had gone VERY badly while dining. She stated "YOU DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK ANYMORE." I thought the manager should know about this waitress's purposeful attacks as we feel she baited us to frustration over and over and never once apologized or explained. The next day I called to speak to the manager and left my name and phone number and have never received a call back. We had a similar situation happen twice at the Maysville Rd location when we were with others and they were baffled also. These waitress's are not ignorant to what they are doing PURPOSELY but it was even more obvious at this Washington Center Road location with this particular waitress. Obviously; they don't care to know who it is ....SO for the sake of other patrons I have now put it at the top. As I stated; she was already in a mood when she began on us. Personally; we have written off the Ft Wayne locations as entire staff from management, wait staff and even to the payment person will leave you wishing you had not spent a dime there.    Read moreOne of the worse experiences dining out Iâve had!! Went for the first time to the Washington Center Location in Fort Wayne, In this evening. Drove an hour away to try something new, upon arriving we had no idea where to go as we got inside, and finally found a worker to ask. Was initially put on a waiting list for a half hour, which was fine. After finally being seated to the time our order was placed on our table was approx an hour. Our server kept on forgetting to bring drinks, and then a straw. We placed our order, was never asked how my spouse wanted his steak. Once the food was served my steak tips didnât have any pink in them how I wanted, and my spouses steak was dried out! I was never asked about dipping sauce either. Once the server come back to us we had to ask for silverware as we never received any either!! About 5/10minutes later she come back to the next table, and we had inquired again about our silverware, she proceeded to then tell us it was going to be a little bit as they had no silverware ready at that point! So, there our food sat getting cold as we waited again!! The table behind us all but one from their party got their dinner. I overheard and observed them requesting the manager regarding the wrong food items, as well as everyone but one from their party had their food!! The manager said she would first go see what was going on with the food in the kitchen, and she would be right back. She didnât get right back to them she continued doing other things! My spouse and I decided to leave at this point as the food was cold, my spouses serving of hash brown casserole wasnât even a full serving, he didnât get his 3sides as he was never even asked for that option either, and they brought extra steak fries that werenât ordered! You could tell there were quite a few fellow patrons upset with the service/quality of their dinners etc. I paid for our drinks, and as I waited to do so one of the cooks had come out to the closest table telling them they were 40minuted behind in the kitchen!! We were never told there was such a wait for our food, if so we wouldâve went elsewhere at that point alone. My appetizer when it come out wasnât real warm as if it had been sitting out a little while before being served too! Photos are our plated as they were served!!
