This place is horrible! I would give zero stars if it was possible. I booked my room online through Agoda. Ten days I paid (UP FRONT))* IN ADVANCE *We chose this location to wait for our apartment to be ready during the period I had to wait from one lease ending and the new one would start. What a mistake! When we arrived the man stated he wanted $150 deposit. This was never mentioned when I booked my stay. Or I would have paid it ahead of time. THEN he said he’d take $100 and made some off comment about being able to let us check in early in a type of room for “ people like you”. When we walked in, the smoke detector was literally on the floor in front of the door with the battery missing. I found the battery later, stuffed under the night stand between the two beds after I moved it a little to access the electrical outlet to charge my phone. Every single outlet in the room, which wasn’t very many, had an adapter on it to accommodate 6 plugs instead of two, all of them were over loaded and posed a huge fire risk. There was dried blood all over the wall and baseboards by the window. The entire room smelled of mold, mildew and was filthy. The entire bathroom and the sink outside of it was damp and the wood and drywall were rotting from water damage. The sink stopper was shoved into the hole it was supposed to live in but was broken and would not work to lift or lower the drain stopper. The faucet sprayed water EVERYWHERE because the water spout nozzle was completely missing. The mini fridge was filthy and growing mold and shorted out constantly because of the outlet situation. The bedding was dirty and the floors were so dirty they were sticky. Even after sweeping and mopping them myself our feet still turned black if we walked around without socks on. The bed frames all had rust and goopy filthy stuff around the entire border on the floor. The pole for hanging cloths was broken off and therefore there were also no hangers. The microwave was encrusted with food and rust and didn’t even work. There was trash surrounding the back of every single piece of furniture including the sink area. Eve found a PlayStation game in one of the drawers. The vagrant population there is HIGH. There were people stealing things out of the back of my truck including a gas can. People throwing cigarettes all over the ground and others taking them out of the trash to smoke what was left. The trash was always overflowing outside of the doors in the breezeways and random people standing in front of the inside hallways asking to be let in. Other people camped out in their cars. Some with animals. The police and sheriff’s department was there daily and nightly. There were people hanging out in the breezeway all hours of the night. Including some of the employees who actually lived there. One of the employees lives in a camper on the side of the parking lot with an extent in cord running to the room a couple doors down from where we were staying. There was about 7 people at least and countless dogs staying in that one. There was no lock on our window either. Someone had also placed tape over the door latch which I removed when I saw it the first day. They make breakfast in an apartment unit upstairs that is also available for rent. Not even made in an actual professional kitchen. Wonder if the health department is aware of this? All of this, and the girl who was working in the morning stole $70 of my deposit stating she had to replace linens and that there were two people staying with us that they were not informed of which is literally impossible. She then refused to give us a receipt and would not show us video of the supposed unauthorized people in the room!!?? She then refused to contact the manager or provide contact information for any management or corporate office. I’m fairly certain she kept the money for herself. I think her name was Megan or similar to that. I tried calling for hours to talk to someone else and this girl kept answering the phone and hanging up on me! DO...
Read moreForget it, dont stay,,,, they say that the coffee pot was drawn on... I'm 46 yrs old, and I have a lot more to lose with that $150 then the hotel could any day. Im not in the habit of throwing away money, nor would I resort to such childish behavior. I am a kind, responsible, and generous woman who helps and volunteers in my community where I can. Dont patronize me. I am beginning to believe that it is discrimination. Have you charged every single guest who stained a blanket the incidentals deposit? Oh, and incidentally, that is for incidental charges. Not damages. My receipt says nothing about damage, nor is there any sort of list posting on what cost to expect in such cases. It is reasonable to assume that a white blanket will get dirty, and not all of that dirt will come clean, hence Labor Day and wearing white. It is also reasonable to assume one will not be charged for the cleaning of bedding and linens, Do I have to show you how to get the stains out too? I suggest you look into innkeepers common laws and the supreme court ruling pertaining to them, and you will realize that you are not a landlord, but you are an innkeeper. Just because you have some long-term tenants does not change your duties as an innkeeper. In no way was there any sort of list or written document, or pictures for proof provided to me of these claims, giving notice as to why my deposit was withheld. In addition, my bank is quick to release funds, and incidentally I broke down 200 miles from home and was not able to rent the u-haul I needed. I had to sleep on the side of the interstate for two days until someone could come get me. And then take an extra trip to get my car. Incidentals and damages are two different words with two different definitions, in legal and normal language. Incidentally, any damages incurred should have been separate from an incidentals deposit, and billed accordingly. With proof and an itemized list. Incidently, damages due to the negligence to properly protect your guests by superciliously retaining the incidental charges deposit could produce a hefty fine and also incidental damages. I would like to know if the next people you had staying in the room immediately after us happened to draw on the coffee pot or stain the bedding? Or maybe they noticed a dirt spot on blankets that went unchanged and then proceeded to look at things closer to notice the coffee pot art that I somehow missed. And maybe the housekeeping is throwing it at me to cover themselves? Prove to me that It was me, and I will let it go. Otherwise, I may sue for discrimination, Is it the native in me or the latino in my husband? Because we did nothing wrong, completely respected all staff and guests, and went the extra mile to clean the counter and table tops as well as only using one trash can. The shower was nasty when we got there, and I had to clean it before I could use it....
Read moreWe were so excited to spend our anniversary in Fort Collins. We booked 2 nights at this hotel and arrived at 1:00pm for a 3:00pm check in. We did all of the paperwork and went to waste some time in town. We came back around 3:15pm and got our room keys. We arrived at our room with suite cases and bags in tow to walk into a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. I called the front desk and they were confused and the housekeeper said she needed another hour. We went in to talk to the manager and we were given an upgraded room at no charge.
We settled into our room and were very happy with the room. Nice tub, nice bed and it was relaxing. Early on Tuesday morning, around 8:40am we had multiple knocks on our door waking us up. We have young kids, we don’t normally get to sleep in so it was frustrating. First was housekeeping and then the cable company coming to swap out the cable. We asked them to leave so we could get showered and out of the room. We check in at the front desk and asked them for a do not disturb sign so that we wouldn’t be woken up again. We left the hotel and spent the whole day out.
We arrived back at our room and we noticed fresh towels and a freshly made bed. Unfortunately the housekeeper missed our full trash can. On top of that our tv didn’t work, it said that it needed to be activated. We called down to the front desk and they said that they would send maintenance up to fix it. We waited over an hour and finally we decided to call Comcast ourselves. The front desk called and asked if he had come yet and we said no, they hung up and called again and said the wires were cut so we wouldn’t have tv but we could move to a different room. By that time Comcast got our tv working, it just needed to be activated. We let the front desk know.
Wednesday morning, We went down to go enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It was a letdown. We went back upstairs to get another hour of shut eye before packing up to go home. 8:40am again, pounding on the door from housekeeping.
By this point we were beyond frustrated. We informed the front desk that we were unhappy with our stay and that we would be writing reviews about the place. The manager said that she wishes that we would’ve given her the opportunity to fix it but we had already talked to them yesterday about the knocks on the door before 9am.
We were very disappointed in our stay and we won’t be staying...
