DO NOT STAY HERE I already spent one night in this hotel and I could already tell that the entire building is very old and not updated. I needed something cheap so I settled for this. However, whenever I come back from work to my hotel room, my key card opens the door, but the latch is locked from the inside. So I cannot get into my room. The lights were on and the TV was on as well because I could hear it blaring. I went down to the front desk and told them that the latch is locked from the inside, and that I cannot open it. I thought maybe it was cleaners but the front desk lady informed me that there are no cleaners there at the moment that they left hours ago. She called the maintenance guy and told me that he will meet me up at the room thinking that the latch just accidentally swung shut behind me. Whenever I get up there, I try it again just to check and the door opens fully all the lights are off and the TV is off. This is whenever I thought it was really weird. I know someone was in my room. I go back down to the front desk and tell her and she said that she is gonna immediately check the cameras with the maintenance man. Somehow the room I am staying in, room 234, is not caught on any camera there. All they can see is the reflection/light on the door being opened, but they can’t tell who it is. I know someone was in my room because of the lights being changed and the TV being turned off from the five minutes it took me to go back down to the front office. At first, I just decided for them to change the keys. But once I got to the room, I decided that I wanted to change rooms because it was too creepy thinking that someone had a key to my room. After changing rooms, I still felt uncomfortable and feared for my safety, as I am a solo female traveler. I did not stay the second night, I booked a hotel room from a different hotel. I have to come up to this town every month for a weekend and I will never stay at this hotel again. This isn’t just a inconvenience, this is a safety issue. I am going to request a refund. There was no manager on site whenever I decided to leave because it was 7 o’clock at night, but I am going to call in the morning and request a refund. Whenever someone stays at a hotel, the most basic thing that is needed is safety and I don’t feel like I got that. UPDATE: I called the hotel for the refund (for the first and only time mind you) and the manager was very rude and basically called me a liar. The maintenance man changed his story and said that he could tell by the camera it was just me going into my room. The manager said that the hotel had nothing to do with Wyndham, yet it’s Days inn by Wyndham?? Just seems like very bad business. DONT STAY HERE. (Just to Clarify Wyndham business itself is helping me, this property...
Read moreBreakfast was a nice convenience, coffee was okay, location was great, housekeeping was good, but the rest of the staff with the exception of Kevin and the maintenence man, were disappointing to say the least. There is also a dog area with waste bags which was nice. I understand my budget won't get me a5 star hotel but this is still the hospitality industry. If someone from corporate would like to contact me further to discuss the details, I'd be happy to give you more feedback on our stay. I recently had a spinal fusion which resulted in drop foot, my son has cancer and is undergoing chemo treatments and all we needed was a clean, quiet, affordable room to stay in during this time. I could not believe the way the "Manager" attacked me for not being able to move my stuff fast enough for the cleaners to get home in time when I was finally able to move to a room that would fit us. As she was sitting in a chair relaxing in the lobby. Yelling at the me and the staff as I'm hobbling through the halls carrying all I could and doing things in a rush. The double bed was not enough room for my son and our service dog and I. Constant issues with plumbing and sink and when i booked I mistook the "double" bed for a double twin or king. I called the front desk about this the first night but it seemed we were more a burden than guests during our entire stay. We got one night in a handicapp accessible room and the rest of the time paid the same price for a less accomodating room because the manager moved us out the next morning as punishment for talking back after what she did and then avoided me the rest of the week and never showed up for work. No one new what her schedule is either?. Will update with pictures at the...
Read moreWarning!! Do Not Stay Here!!!! A star only because of the small dog area and one female front desks clerk that wasn't rude. Hiring her was the only smart thing they've done. Guess it's family owned and any problems you have its your fault it happened according to them. Lacking serious maintenance. My door lock died twice within 24 hours, they said it was because I kept demagnetizing my card. The two have nothing to do with each other. The lock on the door had a red blinking light and I could not get into my room. So they offered another room, smelled horrible so I opened the window to let the room breath. It got worse. Smelled like dog poo. So I just went back to my old room and dead bolted the door because I had my dog with me. (Extra $$ for dog, dog only) Fire alarm went off at 11pm, everyone had to evacuate, over an hour wait out side. Firefighter I talked to said it was do to lack of maintenance/wiring because they could not turn it off. The front said it was someone smoking in their room. To top it off the white sheets on the bed had black and red fuzz on them. My friend came to next day to visit so we could go out to eat and was mad that even slept in what she called and filthy closet (tiny tiny rooms) but I had been driving for two days I just needed some sleep and couldn't even get that there. The walls are very thin. Worse place I've ever stayed at and will never stay there again. I don't think I'll even ever stay at Days Inn again. Lol traumatized! Any positive reviews are bs from the owners. The place is disgusting! If you own a hotel you would think you would have some kind of customer service and want a clean/functioning place. Not them!...
