Super 8 in Fort Collins......here we go. *Let me start by first saying that the ladies that were working at the front desk were both great. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well. This review is strictly for the "pet friendly" part of the hotel.* So, my wife and I booked a room there on our way into town around midnight. We pulled in, grabbed our key and pug and headed to the room. Upon entering the hallway to the pet friendly area, you are blasted in the face with the smell of cat urine. Absolutely unbearable. Thankfully it's not as prevalent in the room. Once we entered the room our dog went nuts with all the smells of what one can only assume is urine. Being rockhounds, we happened to have a black light for looking for UV reactive rocks at night. You can see where this is going and I absolutely regret doing this. Blah. *I searched the room with the black light.* Thankfully, the bathroom, bed and majority of the room was spotless. However, I found where the unofficial dogs bathroom was......the chair. It. Was. Bad. I counted ten pee spots on one chair. Being the good dog owners we are, we went OUTSIDE to have our dog pee. Upon exiting the building I accidentally bumped into someone with the door.....there were 4 kids sleeping outside the door. There were kids everywhere sleeping outside. 3 kids sleeping behind Denny's across the street. 2 kids smoking weed in the back of the parking lot. The area was just super sketch. Not the hotel's fault mind you, but I personally didn't like it. In the end, if you need a *pet friendly* place to stay in Fort Collins area, I would look elsewhere. (I've posted pics of said pee spots. Only 4 because, well, do you really want to see them all?)

I'm a frequent guest always pick this super 8 because the staff are amazing. Now the truth. It's an ok motel. The front desk staff are amazing and the manager and his family are also amazing. The cleaning staff well not friendly at all and have a major attitude problem and customer service is not there priority. The location is nice but some of the regular guests that obviously live here are odd and have no respect for other guests. For example smoking pot or cigarettes all day by the exit, entrance doors and leaving their trash by the doors, kids yelling and screaming all times of day and night. Homeless people coming in and taking free breakfast and they don't even stay here? The rooms are ok but don't check the ac filters oh my God talk about dust. The bedding needs updating with burn hols in them and odd stains as well. Guest parking doesn't feel safe with homeless people camping out in the north lot where the large trucks park and they just wonder around the property.

All of the staff were friendly and pleasant. The rooms are a good size, the bed was extremely comfortable. However, the rooms are stinky and we found dog kibble around the sink in our room. Also dog hair on the chair. Thankfully we're not allergic, so we accepted it and moved on because the room was comfortable enough to balance it out. Keeping the AC on and window cracked helped with the smell, but as soon as we got too cold and turned it off it was like the smell came creeping back. The carpet was really sticky and could use a steam clean. But overall, I liked the place because of the awesome sleep I got here due to the comfortable mattress. Good place to stay for a night or two but if you're looking for luxury, go somewhere else.

First and foremost if you know that stay about 260 nights in hotels out of the year... that being said, I am pretty astute to the ins and outs of Hotel policies and procedures... On 10/04/16 in the town of Fort Collins Colorado at the Super 8 Motel adjacent to Interstate 25 , we met with a totally different Beast. We have used our Corporate Lodging Consultants group to make a reservation for us at this hotel during or travel. For those of you not familiar with that particular company,it is for corporate businesses who are on the go a lot and you get cheaper rates on hotel stays... normally 15% savings... on this particular evening we arrive at 11 p.m. we were met by night auditor Ashley... upon arrival we were told that there would be a $150 deposit that was required because we were CLC members, and when asked why , her reply was that it was company policy. When we ask why again , she said it was to cover incidentals. I question her again about this procedure, as to that do you mean that you just need a credit card on file in case of incidentals? She replied no they actually charged the card and after they have done their clean up an inspection and found that nothing was broken in the room a refund would be reapplied to the card, this should take 4 to 6 days for your refund to reappear on your card. After listening to this, I was appualled... if I have to pay $150 deposit as described by her that NOW was not ONLY for CLC members but across the board for every Hotel Guest who stayed in the hotel what kind of place was I booked in? She told us we could either pay $150 deposit or we wouldn't stay there. This was a corporate policy set by the Super 8 Chain of owners... This I know was a blatant untruth... out of 260 nights a year in hotels and motels over a 5 year period, how many do you guess are a Super 8? It is a pretty good percentage... None of them have spouted such nonsense as I was to be led to believe this Night... I asked Ashley point blank... Do you just not want our business? She replied... She Did Not Care... So That Spoke Volumes to me as a potential customer... THEY DO NOT CARE, NOT ABOUT YOU OR ANYONE... So if the first person that you see doesn't care, how do you think the rest of the staff feels? Is your room going to be clean or do they follow the lead people and this carries though the entire staff...Makes you ask those questions like...Is the breakfast going to be of Health grade compliance or is that person not care eithe... What I am tring to say here is that I do not have to put up with this type of treatment, and neither should you... We went across the street to the Days Inn were we where welcomed, appreciated, and Thanked for choosing them to stay with... Paid them with my CLC card, and nothing else... No Deposits, Games or...

This review was meant for a much earlier time. I would truly like to express how satisfied I am with the staff at Super 8 here in fort Collins they are always very friendly attentive and ready to meet your every need they greet you with a smile positive attitude and helpful knowledge. My favorite employee here at Super 8 is the front desk clerk Kristen she is always very helpful very friendly professional and gives the true meaning of quality customer service its name. Paid $67 a night. Stayed 20 nights but obviously spending over $1500 gets you no favor here. Got told to unplug our rv. Tried to explain that the rv has a 2 amp trickle charger that needs to be plugged in sort of like the10 diesel trucks that are plugged in (cell phone chargers are 2.1 amp, so smaller than that). Maids are unbelievably bad. Wife left medication in the room when we checked out for one day and while we were in line talking to the counter person, another person came in to tell that he was missing stuff as well, all while the counter help was saying her maids had been here awhile and wouldn't do that (she didn't even ask). The longer you stay here the worse things get. Get in and out and take pics of your room the second you check in. They will accuse you of smoking or something. I've seen them do it to 2 people here who I personally saw smoke outside while they were here. It's shady here folks. And I'm pretty sure the Korean gentleman, Jason, is the owner but he will tell you "the owner" doesn't allow this, "the owner" doesn't allow that, like he's not the owner. Jason, aren't you the owner? Here's some math for you since you don't seem to listen well: $67x23=$1541 we've paid you. Now, you complained about an rv that you admitted you knew nothing about and said it had to go. A 2.0 trickle charger cost a few dollars A YEAR to run. So to plug it in 2 times out of 23 nights seems fair. We cleaned our room the entire time as well. The money you didn't have to spend on house keeping paid the trickle charger for a decade. So we're done here. The more I think about how retarded this place is, the more I can't stand it. It's foreign to me how people own businesses but know nothing about customer service....
